It's bad because it's the ubisoft formula. But you can tell the devs tried their best within those constraints. They obviously liked the setting, theme and vibe. And I feel like I got my money's worth.
exotic settings are what this series is all about. this one's closer to home and has that comfy americana vibe to it. feels kind of like a GTA clone at times but is not. still kind of sloppy but can be pretty cool.
Its main detraction is being the same generic Farcry formula. But the locale, music, and characters were mostly solid. I wish they would have explored the cult more, and offered overall better side quests instead of a bunch of the typical Ubisoft filler.
>Game features an actual respect for its depiction of Americana, no matter how small, which is really novel >Fantastic depiction of American nature >Didn't take the obvious route of maga ebill nazis like journos thought it would >Has an actual story, most compelling since FC3 >Ending is legitimately among the greats in terms of vidya as a whole >Soundtrack is SSS tier, one of the best vidya soundtracks ever
?si=VZ9E9pLVTLUPsy5W&t=88 >Has SOVL which is shockingly rare for a AAA title, especially Ubishit
but on the other hand >Game literally, 100% fricking RUINED by the ATROCIOUS, EMBARRASSING mission system.
Whoever decided 4 missions per zone, 12 total, with 2 missions in each zone earmarked for a short mission introducing the villain or killing them off, needs to be blacklisted from the industry. Unbelievable how shitty this is. This game would have been actually legendary if it just had more missions in a not NAUSEATING format. Rip off GTA's mission system. ANYTHING ELSE. Would have finally surpassed FC3
I've never been so frustrated by a game missing greatness by so little a margin only to fall into the dung heap of AAA history.
also, the DLC immediately feel back into Ubislop when it could have saved the game.
Batman: Arkham Knight was really lacking in mission content on release, but the DLCs adding stuff to the core game (the big one being Season of Infamy) completely turned it around. Maybe it could have saved FC5 that way.
It's possible that FC5's letdown-of-the-decade mission system ruined the game too much to save with a DLC like that, but they didn't even try to save it.
I like just running around, I sort of wish it had no story considering how thin the story already is and how bad it is, it just gets in the way and just makes the experience worse
>nazis try to force other countries to join them >cult tries to force people to join them >both right in the end
Ironic. All they had to do was let people decide on their own.
>nazis try to force other countries to join them
Yeah, too bad the fascist interpretation of nationalist is imperialism but with ethnic cleansing. What a bunch of homosexuals. Germans deserve what they now have. Hopefully they don't bring us down with it.
I thought it was cringe how often you get captured and you can't prevent. I think it happens like a dozen of time. It got really silly. I also hate playing a silent protagonist who just sits there as each villain monologues for several minutes.
I think it's because it basically boils down to doing the same thing in every area. By the time you get to the last 2 you are just going through the motions.
There’s been a good game trying to emerge since the series peaked at 2. Sadly it is buried under a lot of generic ubitrash ideas. I have not bought a far cry game since 2
Great game with that stupid forced region boss confrontation mechanic. Frick knows why they didnt let you choose when to do that, cos you end up having to fight them while there was still loads to do in the region.
Fc6 lost the plot entirely. Ive played every fc game except primal but i uninstalled 6 after a few hours. Utter dogshit.
>comrades, its time for our trans slam poetry party
This game was very fun up until it started getting real buggy. Was stuck for a while because John seed despawned during the boss fight and just didn't come back until he suddenly did a while later. It put me off playing. I beat john and jacob, but when I got to faith's area I lost interest in the game due to the bad experiences with the bugs and glitches. Soundtrack is good, I like the companions too.
>undo a reasonable amount of game design FC3 introduced and move closer to FC2 >game is better than previous two entries
That is the real secret - the FC series just needs a more polished version of 2 to truly shine.

Yeah, the setting, characters and story are really fun. Although the way it disrespects your agency is pretty annoying.

>I have a small white penis
agreed, biggest mistake was the mission system
I like just running around, I sort of wish it had no story considering how thin the story already is and how bad it is, it just gets in the way and just makes the experience worse
>and how bad it is
Okay troony
The story is troony tier 2deep4you shit
>n-no you're the troony
I mean, I'm not the one obsessed with trannies
>muh obsessed
Dilate troon
Unique feeling location and fun characters but bogged down by the standard ubisoft formula gameplay.
YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO IDENTIFY WITH THE CULTISTS YOU MEDIA ILLITERATE CHUDS
I think I will
Good story
Terrible gameplay

of nationalism*
What I don't get about Germans is why they decided that Killing was the best option. Why not just deport everyone?
or maybe thats what they did

Far Cry 5 is the best because the "villains" are so appealing and everyone wants to join them
>How is this game so weirdly compelling
Compelling me to not play it maybe.
You're moronic
Amazing atmosphere/music/visuals

see
enjoy never getting laid loser
>stop making fun of my small dick
lol incel
Tranon tries not to project his small dick humiliation fetish difficulty impossible
There is nothing wrong with FC5. Shut up.
There’s been a good game trying to emerge since the series peaked at 2. Sadly it is buried under a lot of generic ubitrash ideas. I have not bought a far cry game since 2
you like it because you identify with the villains
Just like how the helghast were the "villains"

>comrades, its time for our trans slam poetry party
>the villains are comically evil
>but also le right
>you shouldve just le.. walked.. away
What did they mean by this?
>Man this game is so repetitive
>100% the whole thing
I don't regret it but... why did I do it? I'll never know.
I like how you get MK Ultra’d into killing that dude.
disappointed you couldn't kill him and his wife after seeing them constantly torturing prisoners while being presented as the good guys
the shooting mechanics kinda suck
>bliss bullets
I can't play more than 15 minutes of this without getting motion sickness.
It's been like that since FC3.
Frick these homosexuals for hardlocking the FOV.
the cult music is absolute god-tier
hardlocking? like not even a mod can change it?
Not that I could find, even years after release

they got rid the towers so now u can free roam but then u realize it's far cry.
John sneed
It feels soft, the shooting
>undo a reasonable amount of game design FC3 introduced and move closer to FC2

The real question is how do you go from that game to the absolute pure dogshit that is Far Cry 6?
Knowing ubisoft they will double down on it.
