How long are Pokemon lifespans? Definitely seem longer than a dog and cat

How long are Pokemon lifespans? Definitely seem longer than a dog and cat

I'd think so too, although I think it also depends on the Pokemon. Torkoal could easily push 150 years, but Nincada might be dead in a week. And some Pokemon are ALREADY dead

Yamask was reborn into a Pokémon. It's a living creature. See I turned into a Gengar where it states that it's not a ghost.

          what about shedinja

          Alive

Also see Pokedex entries using words like rebirth or reborn.

            re·birth
            /rēˈbərTH/
            noun
the process of being reincarnated or born again.
"the endless cycle of birth, death, and rebirth"

where does it say kids enter the data? The professors fill in the data of the Pokedex

That's only true of the "Pokedex" in Legends Arcus, where Laventon writes the entries based on the data you gather.

In every game, the Pokedex is stated be a high-tech device that automatically records. It has an AI inside of it that writes the entries itself. Or in the case of Gens 7, 8, and 9, a Rotom writing them.

well shouldnt we trust a rotom to write accurate entries on ghost pokemon

They always use words like "reborn", and Ghost-type Pokemon don't consider themselves to be ghosts. In their minds, they're just as alive as any other Pokemon.

It's not in their mind. They aren't dead, they can reproduce, they have to eat, and they eat physical foods just like any other Pokémon, and can even die.

Ghost of Pokémon also have different properties than ghost Pokémon.

Here's an example of something unique to ghosts, they don't show up in photographs while ghost type Pokémon do

When Pokémon die, they don't turn into Ghost type Pokémon. They turn into ghosts of their former selves. Ghost types are simply species of living Pokémon with some supernatural/ghostly characteristics. They're not dead Pokémon even though some of them may have originated from the souls of dead humans according to myths.

Debunked because Ash reunited with Butterfree and its mate and in the last episode of Journeys. (The episode airing in Japan now are technically a mini-series)

It probably varies from mon to mon with less of a diverse range of ages compared to our animal kingdom. It could also be 1 age range instead though, since Pokemon are sometimes treated as a singular species

do pokemon that evolve live longer than pokemon that choose not to evolve? or shorter?
do legendary/mythical pokemon live forever? is there really only one of each of them or is that anime autism?

It's dependent on species. Absol's Pokedex entry says that they live for over 100 years, and that's considered "long-lived" because it's longer than most humans live.

Alder and Mustard's Pokemon died before their masters died, so I think it varies.

What kind of retarded question is this? It's like asking how long are animal lifespans when they can vary between days and hundreds of years depending on species

It probably varies, but I bet Gardevoir are immortal.
