I just wait for Timmy-sama to offer great games for free on his store.
Are companies now using a virgin/chad advertising setup?
Always have.
Is this some Berenstain bears shit? I could have sworn the icuck stood on the left in these commercials.
nah it's just because we read left-to-right so the opening lines "Hello, I'm a Mac" "And I'm a PC" make you think retrospectively that means the actors on screen would be speaking left-to-right
>Japanese people read right to left
>in their versions of the commercial the PC guy on the left introduces himself first
kek
the oldest one i can recall off the top of my head were those apple vs windows commercials back in the mid 2000's
Hah, beat you to it!
have for some time now
>the chad is a "progressive thinker"
you'd be surprised how many memes where made by the antique left a.k.a the watered version that is today's right wing politics.
sounds to me like there's a very happy middle ground the pendulum will eventually settle at, right? Right? Please?
Republicans freed the slaves and championed civil rights, dude.
Back then, the term progressive wasn't muddied beyond all meaning.
yes goy, keep waking up at 6am for mr shekelberg
Why does the Chad have a israeli nose?
It's a roman nose. The israelite nose is shaped more like a banana
>It is the paper of intelligence for the intelligent
Relying on faultless logic and sterling observations such as YOU LOOK REALLY HANDSOME IF YOU READ US.
My most tragic recent discovery about mankind and human civilization in general is that we were always the way we are now. Nothing has changed about us and nothing ever will.
the guys who act the most like aggressive alpha chimps get laid the most. we still monke.
The more you read literature the more obvious it is, it's a bit mentally freeing in some ways but also frustrating.
>tragic
I feel a bit comforted in how humans never change. Finding out about the pompeii graffiti gave me a sense of kinship with those anons of olde.

This, I never felt closer to the ancient pas and humans than reading that stuff. It felt like looking back on those old message boards from the 90's. It's comforting to know some things never change and we still have similar thoughts, feelings and issues.
my kindred spirits. whenever i feel a little demoralized i remember its actually always been this way, the only thing thats different is the medium
You would have known that a lot sooner if you read any old literature.
>we've always been like this
Yes
>we'll always be like this
No
We are like this precisely because of the mechanisms that are exploitable by propaganda. These same systems can be hijacked by AI to completely rewrite inertia to whatever outcomes that are desired. Nature puts up a struggle by imprinting inertia triggers, but dedicated overwrite and intelligent wirecrossing can mold men into literally anything. If you see the repetition of man's emanations through history as evidence of immutable characteristics you put too much stock in the animal and not enough in the environment. The environment is nowhere near as strange and divergent as it could potentially be. We are imminently close to manifesting the means to create truly transformative environments. The animal is adept at adaptation.
>Are companies now using a virgin/chad advertising setup?
Originally the meme didn't glorify either side, it humorously exaggerated chad and virgin to the point of absurdity to make the middle ground more appealing, but that set up was too nuanced for zoomers who need to filter everything into a Good vs Bad dichotomy.
oh so what you’re saying is that “virgin vs chad” is the modern form of a israelite propaganda. no wonder reddit loves it.
this image is a israeli psyop aimed towards making you waste your money.
do not give in to it brothers. keep on hoarding that money.
This, but at least convert your assets into gold and hide it before you die. Don't let the government bastards steal a portion of your kids inheritance, leave behind nothing except a coded message in your will that leads to a treasure map.
Don't hoard. Spend wisely, save well. virtue is a golden mean as it always has been. The "saving is a loss" is the israeli psyop, but the proper response isn't to go to the vice of deficiency
Me on the left.
WHOSE NOGGIN NEEDS KNOCKIN?
depends on the publisher
you should pirate anything you can
I only do that for games that are out of production. If it's from a developer that makes games I enjoy I would like to support them.
Damn that dude's FAT
Once it gets a 20% or 25% discount it's go time
youre mentally deficient if youre paying real money for video games
>man the state of the industry is awful.
>yes i pirate everything why do you ask?
kek. get the frick out of my face. you think my measly one sale is going to turn the tide?
the people that post here are such a speck of dust compared to the market of shit eating consumers that gobble up the latest releases.
you fricking goof. of course i pirate everything i play, but i dont pirate everything that gets released. some of it isnt even worth the download.
>Thinking piracy is why the games industry is shit, not the other way around
Games industry being extremely greedy is not a matter of needing to “pay off money “””stolen””” by pirates”, it’s a matter of “we can just get away with our bullshit with 0 consequences”. The industry is shit today because publishers realize how many morons and normalgays buy their games, no matter how greedy they are, how shit their games are, or if they treat their employees terribly.
I’d say piracy even helps the industry. It does mean more niche games need to be more appealing to higher IQ people.
>But muh DRM!
Game companies absolutely would still add something similar to your computer since it’s spyware. In fact a common reason to pirate is specifically to bypass DRM.
Gaming is a pretty damn cheap hobby compared to most. The value you get per dollar is insane. I spend maybe $600 a year on games/hardware. I spend thousands on travel which I don't even enjoy half the time.
i spend zero on gaming and get the same enjoyment you do. im not sure what your point really is.
You more than you think you do.
ah, yes.
I spend about <$100 a year, but that's because I wait for sales and already have some f2p games I enjoy.
You should get Triple A games for free right now.
>save money for the sake of saving money
disaster fund/rainy day fund etc
If you're going that route, you're more likely to forget and lose interest in the game before it goes on sale (unless it frickin bombs).
2 years is too long, at that point just move on and consoom something else, unless it's somehow still popular.
I literally can't remember the last time an AAA game was even worth pirating, much less getting on sale. What on earth are you waiting to get?
may AAA game was the wrong way to call it. I meant any game that catches my interest made by a big/well known company.
i wait until it gets at least to 50% off regardless of how long that takes
I wait until it's as cheap as a sandwich.
Left is me
If they're not willing to put it at an acceptable price, you shouldn't be willing to buy it. It's not like there aren't plenty of other games on the market.
No amount of time is too long.
Well, thing is, games are a luxury item and there is never any reason to buy it before it is at it's cheapest outside of personal desire.
I guess you could argue mp focused games are only good for the first x days/weeks/months.
Frankly it depends on the game but I've been playing games for 40 years now it's not that hard to see when a game will have a "Complete" edition a year or two down the line, and wait for that to get it with all bug fixes and content.
Continue to do that all you want, but if you're ever frustrated with games catering to the most gullible half-wit lowest common denominator, now you know one of the reasons why.
Reminds me of a conversation I had with a coworker. I was saying how I was liking dmc5, someone said "oh yeah, that just came out right? Yeah I don't spend money on story games like that. I'm not missing anything by waiting for it to come out on games with gold, or on sale for 5 bucks in a few years." And then he and another coworker started talking about their experience with the division 2, which also recently released.
Why is it depicting the "frugal people" strawman as more wealthy when the "cheap people" are actually saving more money?
Frugal people are smart with money, not slaves to it. You only live once and you can't take it with you. Cheap people will never enjoy anything. It's an automatic negative being a scrooge.
this sounds like cope from people who can't save money for shit and rack up debt.
Frugal people don't rack up debt.
Enjoyment is relative.
Water tastes sweet after you've climbed a mountain and abstained from it.
We really only enjoy one thing, dopamine.
I have experienced a lot of things that were expensive and only a handful of them were worth it. For all other times, thoughts of the cost precluded me from enjoying the moment, even if I didn't pay for it. The most enjoyable things in life I have experienced were free.
As long as it takes to go under 7 USD.

Lagwall or Frirf?
Lagwgal's got bags, while Frirf looks like he just ran out of toilet paper and his wallet is all he has left
>suit and tie

is this even a question?

no amount of dollar-sign suitcases can fix shitty genes
LISTEN HERE YOU BIG EARED FRIRF

SP-I-I-I-I-T
Ask yourself this, why should you rush if you already have a backlog?
Also it depends on the company.
There'a no point buying RE games until they are way cheaper and on sale 2 years later.
Others only do fixed sales and you take it or leave it.
Others, like Bandai for some fricking reason don't put the DaS trilogy on sale for the past +1 year or so.
Other way around. no time is too short.
If you wouldn't pay full price then it's not worth your time at all. If it's not worth your trees, rocks, and gas derivative it's not worth your very limited lifespan. find something that actually is just worth it to begin with.
>cheapo has darker skin
What did they mean by this?
