You know how Pokemon has all sorts of (previously) hidden features like IVs and EVs and such? I think that a Pokemon’s sexuality should also be a hidden value.
Hear me out. Genderless / objectmons would still be immune to Attract and Captivate or whatever, but for Pokemon who are naturally Male or Female there should be a small chance (maybe 5%) that they’re homosexual.
Gameplay considerations: Gay Pokemon can be affected by Attract / Cute Charm when used by another Pokemon of the same sex. They also cannot breed in the Daycare (which would be a fast way to check if you accidentally caught an extra fruity Applin, if you know what I mean)
Finally, there could be a slight hint to the Pokemon’s gayness on its info chart. Maybe a small message like: “Caught on Route 103. Proud of its power. Enjoys sewing.”
I think it’d be a neat feature with some competitive applications. Plus it’d be funny to watch some shiny hunter bugman grind for hours just to find out that his perfect female shiny Gardevoirfu is a lesbian
