how long will it be until there's a controversy about a game coming out that won't allow players to turn off machine learning rendering algorithms and disallows native rendering completely?

im not impressed
a long time
You have to wonder how much Switch 2 will use it
>DLSS on
>the image is now more vibrant and brighter
bait thread
It was just the first DLSS picture on images. It's not bait, I just wanted to discuss the chuds who are scared of the AI future
>are scared of the AI future
What is there to be scared of? Upscaling algorithm? Are you scared of shaders too? What about ray tracing? Are you scared of ray tracing moron?
DLSS with static scenes makes the image sharper
The AI detected that Hideo Kojima is a talentless hack and fixed his game
Never
TAA is already forced on. So probably not long lmao.
Is this why modern games look so blurry?
It's why this whole generation and a half of games look so blurry.
Unironically yes. It's good at higher resolutions such as 4K.
>play game at 4k to have 1080p level of sharpness
>while making 1080p have 720p level of sharpness
they're selling us the poison and the solution at the same fricking time
how? games don't have bitrate like movies do.
TAA makes games blurry
and a lot of games have forced TAA on now
>makes games blurry
isn't that QQAA?
idk what QQAA is but TAA makes the game blurry
QQAA also does the same thing. idk what the difference is or why they changed the name
>You think you know better than nvidia what to do with this month's gpu shipment?
You know what looks good at 4K? Native 4K without temporal shit.
You can sometimes edit the exe in a hex editor to disable it. Or you can inject AMD CAS sharpening with ReShade, to a small degree; which really helps clear up the TAA blur.
are TAA and QQAA the same thing?
Trent Alexander-Arnold is shit
when it is implemented, if it cannot be turned oof, there will be controversy
you can bet that much
>when though???
5 years, my guess
I'll stick with my PS4 Pro and quit gaming until games can render 4K natively
The issue is aliasing. Unless you want an aliased look, you'll either use blur or render all or parts of the frame at a higher resolution than the output resolution. It's a matter of math.
"Please Don't Stop (Chapter 2)"
LOW ROAR
It already happened with Cyberpunk where you can't disable DLSS if you use Ray Reconstruction, it sets itself to auto, automatically.
In their defense, it probably only runs at 10 fps without the upscaling
Once consoles gets a similar tech in their hardware, maybe next gen will feature an Nvidia chip in them.
?
XBOX is planning on researching AI for the next gen system, not the Series X, the next gen.
Once they figure it out, there's no scape to that tech.
Makes sense, by that time the budged GPU market won't exist anymore and everything you can upgrade to will be able to support it. So you'll be left with the "entry level" offerings starting at $500 or APUs that won't be able to even start next gen games.
sad that it's too late for PC gaming now. oh well, guess I'll stick with my PS4, quit gaming and find a better hobby
I wonder how long it will take for them to invent a PC
not after the OG Xbox and PS3 fiasco they won't
Games made with path tracing in mind will need dlss but theres no point in locking such systems as theres simply a slider of what scaling factor your want to use.
>disallows native rendering completely
nvidia has all but exited graphics so probably rtx 6000 series.
YOU VILL NOT RENDER GAMES NATIVELY
YOU VILL USE FAKE RESOLUTIONS
AND YOU VILL BE HAPPY
PLEASE SIRS PLEASE USE THE DLSS DO NOT REDEEM SIRS
I DONT UNDERSTAND A SINGLE THING!
I JUST WANT TO CONSOOM!
LET ME SUCK YOUR DICK, NVIDIA!
>dlss not included
>Ganker loses its shit as their high and mighty 5060 gpu only gets 20fps on medium at 1080p
what 360 game
I think it's the one with the guy from the walking dead
how long until machine learning does something that actually contributes to gameplay?
