In my case it's in case I ever feel like playing any of the games they gave away for free.
There's also the added bonus of the smug satisfaction that comes from knowing I'm part of that annoying statistic Timmy sees when looking at his store numbers: leeches that never spend a cent on his store.
I'll never give the EGS any money.
None to be honest. At first I just added them since I already have an epic account for using unreal engine. Then after a couple times, I didn't even bother.
I have played Wolfenstein: NO, Kingdom Come, Mordhau, Shadow Tactics and a lot of other games for free thanks to Timmy so a good amount. I still haven't spent a single euro on the platform and I don't plan on ever doing it.
What I don't understand about Epic Games is why they spend all this money on giving away free games but they still won't update their platform to make it rival Steam on features. You don't have personalization options for your profile, I think you can't even invite friends to play with you or chat with them through the platform + a lot of other things. It makes no sense.
they wanted to send lawsuits and get into legal shenaningas with other storefronts, but in order to do that they needed to have a storefront themselves. They couldn't just shit out whatever, or call the fortnite launcher a store. Giving people free games turned them into a userbase, which allowed them to call themselves a storefront and uhhh lose against apple and google
it being an actually functional store is an afterthought which is really funny
I use a commandline launcher for Epic games, and the only game I run is fortnite when friends want to play. I will never install their garbage program.
ive claimed most, never played any though. I'd install the client again if they brought back UT.
I actually like Tim, I think hes a good guy and what they do with fortnite, the amount of new modes and events they add to that game is above what any other company does.
I don't strictly hate tim but he runs his mouth which tend to backfire on him and make him appear as a snake.
My biggest concern is Epic has expanded like crazy and the companies health is completely dependent on Fortnite so if it ever faulters it will be ugly.
UE doesn't make enough to support their size, yeah 100-200 million a year is great and a real driver for the company but still pales in comparison to fortnite money.
a lot. Don't worry about it.

And I've claimed all but one game.
I did pirate Outer Wilds when it came out, in case that counts. Thanks, Timmy.

This doesn't make sense...

Do you at least share your e-mail with the game developers so they can increase their newsletter lists?
Of course not.
I didn't bother. I already have too much random shit on Steam and GOG for free.
I've never even installed the launcher.
I'm OP and I'm trans btw, please support sweet baby!
There's nothing wrong with being trans
There's nothing wrong with consultancy groups that tell you how to make your characters.
None to be honest. At first I just added them since I already have an epic account for using unreal engine. Then after a couple times, I didn't even bother.
I played that door puzzle game from a few weeks ago. It was comfy.
Between 10 and hours at best.
I claimed a lot of games but I never played any of them.
I did pirate a few timed exclusives though.
why do you chew remotes op?

I just save them in my steam linked account for when epic goes bankrupt all the games be transferred to steam
several hundred i think. there have been some decent games on there like mordhau, which is most of it. i also played some puzzle games like qube.
Not downloading spyware
I got a lot from Subnautica and Satisfactory. These days though I haven't been playing a lot of the free stuff.
all I did with your free shit was cheating in gta online lmao
none because running any game from that launcher makes my PC sound like it's going to explode for some reason.
Zero.
I'm sorry I just dont want another launcher. Especially a launcher with spyware added to it.
It's already bs that EA force you to use origin with steam. I mean wtf is the point
Uhh like 10hours? I think I have over 300 games
i've never made an epic games account
Tons but only because of Kingdom Come

Aren't they all denuvoless single player games anyway? Why kneel to different flavor israelites to get something that is free anyway?
I'm too lazy to even claim those games, so none.

They're in a pretty good spot with Unreal Engine.
UE doesn't make enough to support their size, yeah 100-200 million a year is great and a real driver for the company but still pales in comparison to fortnite money.
Zero. I only use GOG.
None.
He's not even getting a download out of me.
