    >AC1 comes out. It's an OK game. A bit repetetive but ok
    >AC2 comes out. It's a grindfest and feel like work. Too much to do to be fun
    Yep, AC2 killed the IP.

I dropped AC2 pretty early too. I think it was because I thought the story was just bad. or at least too personal compared to the tone the first game had established. ezio felt like an edgy renaissance batman that shot people with the assassin gun. it all felt really lame.

You don't get the gun until near the end of the game m8. You only had a handful of missions left, not counting DLCs

How is Ezio edgy in any way, specially when you come off experiencing Altaïr? He's one of the more cheerful protagonists

It's not the only good one, but it's definitely the best. Anything past Black Flag starting going from bad to god awful writing, and anything post Syndicate can't really be called Ass Creed anymore.

Why don't games have the option to turn off the UI nowadays?

Because then there'd be too many things you can't perceive, since modern devs don't know how to convey information through audio/visual cues.

Because a lot of the stuff they need to indicate to you are only shown visually through waypoints or areas on the minimap. You also can't really navigate anywhere via the environment because there's no physical waypoints in signs leading you anywhere. Even then the vast vast majority of people do not want to Morrowind everything.

Odyssey actually lets you turn off everything.

Reminds me of some game where I was trying to find a guy in a wheelchair in a village, but without the objective arrow it turned into a nightmare. Turns out wheelchair guy was inside the only house with stairs out front.

Maybe that's why you can't turn it off, because the games rely so much on them they become unplayable without.

    >dropped AC after Unity when Syndicate was shown to have a grappling hook and your hub was a fricking moving train
    >want to get back in for Mirage
    >dread getting to the 200 hour long RPG ones
Also I want to play as the dude in Odyssey but I know the dudette appears in Valhalla and fights you

Who cares what Ubishit says is canon. Valhalla dlc is even less worth playing than the base game anyway

Crossover content isn't traditional DLC, it's given to you through patches like the epilogue.

And all the patched in content is terrible boring horseshit busywork

But that's only applicable to River Raids. Maybe mastery stuff but that has interesting challenges at the very least and you got to see an Isu "temple" which itself had platforming puzzles.
Crossover content is a small area where you run around hunting Isu artifacts while occasionally running into Kass, and the Epilogue is just visiting like five areas for 2 minute cutscenes sending them off so Eivor can wander off. Odyssey had a better crossover area but Valhalla's wasn't that bad.

I liked 1, 2, Brotherhood, Revelations and Black Flag. 3 was shit and the series ended with black flag for me. I heard Rouge was good but couldn't get into it, got bored after literally 20 minutes. Never played any of the others as they became even bigger grinds and fetch quests. Most Ubisoft games are the same under the skin and they lost their soul a long time ago. Far Cry 1,2 and 3 is the same, post 3 they suck.

I skipped Black gay and moved straight to Rogue cuz the protag looks really gay. I know I made the best decision.

have a nice day zoomershit. Ass creed is, was, and forever will be an epitome of goyslop. No amount of your moronic revisionism will change it.

I have never played Ass Cream, but I believe you when you say that the sequels are bad. I do not believe you when you say that the first game is good

A few of them are okay for what they are, but most of them don't do anything too interesting. They can be fun, but they really are "turn your brain off" games.
The newer ones have way too much content as well. With most of the pre-Origins games I found myself wanting them to hurry up and get on with it by the time we're in the third act, they already bordered on overstaying their welcome. Both Origins and Odyssey I got sick of and stopped playing long before the home stretch.

The assassinations in the first one were goat but the repetitive buildup was lame even at the time it came out
