what do you classify as "schizo"?

If the OP image is any indication, I would guess that it's a nogames misinterpretation of gonzo worldbuilding: absurdity, detail, and whimsy. Perhaps even a cosmology that changes relative to the individual like some kind of psychic dream.

In all likelihood though OP is a probably just a shitpost with buzzwords

Basically it is an array of topological models that proposes that the universe has an unknown number of extra dimensions. These dimensions would be too small to notice, but gravity or string particles would be able to move within these confines and behave in particular ways that allow particles to behave like they do in reality. It's part of the modern string theory and M-Theory. The problem is that it is not solvable using perturbation theory, which doesn't leave much room to explore its implications. In all superstring theories the extra spatial dimensions are wrapped, not in simple loops, but in complicated geometries called Calabi-Yau manifold. The behaviour of strings in these hyperdimensional surfaces is only understood in idealized cases. For example, sections of thse manifolds can be approximated as simple tubes, like in Kaluza-klein theory. Even worse, there are countless potential geometries, countless Calabi-Yau manifold to chose from. The standard number is 10^500 different topologies, the actual number is a lot higher. This is the string landscape. Each geometry for the compactified dimension implies a different set of properties for vibrating strings, and so a different family of particles and different laws of physics to go with them. Only ONE correspond to our universe, if any do.

How do you go from Kaluza-klein theory to string theory? Do you just stretch the tubes out until they're really long and thin tubes, like making pasta?

Not really? Unless you consider a cycle of reincarnation that resupplies life and magic energy to the dimensional planes as "schizo", that is.
If I may ramble a bit...
Pantheon based religious believe each aspect of magic and quality of life is represented by a god, religions believing in a singular god think the planes of existence are God's body and that reincarnation is the circulation of its blood. Even the most stubborn of atheists can still make the concession that the cycle of reincarnation is paramount to the universe's continued existence. With all that said, the existence of god/gods is uncertain at best, and the numerous religions that I really don't care to flesh out have various minutiae that they debate over.
It doesn't have much to do with the game itself, but it's just some worldbuilding stuff that came to me that I thought was cool. It isn't all that original, I know; just a hackneyed take on principles of existing beliefs.

What advice do you have for someone looking to design their own cosmology for a fantasy setting or campaign? And besides adding too many alternative planes, what are some mistakes to avoid at all costs?

      >He thinks having multiple planes of existence and being wacky is what makes a setting "schizo"

I'm kind of disappointed with you, your the most schizo fricker on this board and you don't know what makes something schizo or not.

I was was asking about cosmologies in general, not just schizo ones (though they would be included by default). If that wasn’t clear, I apologize.

What is Level 4 even supposed to look like? Like how do you quantify it?

Extra (extremely small) dimensions that allow string to vibrate in certain ways which make them act like any particle in the standard model.

        Anonymous

Level 4 posits that every configuration of space and time that can mathematically justify itself exists in some manner. That includes M-theory, superstring theory, many-worlds interpretation
of quantum mechanics, brane cosmology, eternal inflation theory, universes based on simple Newtonian mechanics with no quantum physics, ANY sort of logical equation and structure. According to Tegmark, the universe is not described by mathematics but IS mathematics.
It's basically Platonism meets the Theory of Everything.

Explain the axis of evil to me. Is earth actually the center of the universe? Why would such a notion be called "the axis of evil"?

            >I want to live in one of those universes, how do I get there?

So what happens without a universal speed limit and c equals infinity? There is NO matter, because it would take infinite energy to make ANY mass. There is only massless particles traveling at infinite speed. Time dilation and length contraction are infinite. There is no time and space, no cause or effect, because all locations and times communicate with each other instantly. The universe is an infinitesimal here-and-now.

              Anonymous

And if, while in the Universal Here-And-Now, it becomes necessary, for some amusement or endeavor, to create the ability for perception or illusion of time, wouldn't that lead to the instant generation of a sub-section of that universe WITH a universal speed limit and c has a true value?

It stands to reason that in a universe such as our own where we know for a fact life can generate and ask these questions and, theoretically at a future point, run these simulations; that in a universe WITHOUT the constraints of matter and causality would be capable of running such a simulation.

Not that schizo. It’s basically something like this, a mortal realm and four elemental realms surrounding it. The main twist is that the elemental realms are also where souls go after death, so they both have a “Heaven” region and a “Hell” region.

Quite. The setting appears to be an isekai, at the surface level. However, the planet's primary goddess is an Empire of Orion Terraforming Corps engineer, a cute OL who is trapped deep inside the core of the planet. She's here shirking her official responsibilities but the universe is vast and full of jews. Recently the planet was invaded from another planet via a magical portal, this all came about as a result of an Insect Race conspiracy. The plot of the game, which seems to be "go forth summoned hero and defeat the maou!" is actually going to end with the discovery of Insect Race infiltrators who are here to ruin the planet forever and annex it into their "Galactic Federation".
