sell me on ESO as someone who has played all the big name MMOs and some shitty korean f2p mmos
elder scrolls but with server side detection lag. thats basically it, ignore other players and you'll have fun. Its actually not a bad game but not a good mmo.
It's not very good, honestly.
Combat is garbage and the payment model is annoying. It's not actually a free game since new content is always pay to play and is content islands. The story is also kind of dumb since it's a prequel so you already know who is going to die before they can make a name for themselves and who is going to die to a certain thing.
Guild Wars 2 has FAR better combat and a slightly more reasonable cash shop, but it gets content much much slower.
GW2's floaty spamfest is equally bad.
>It's not actually free because you have to buy the content to play it
no sub tho so cope seethe and please date me im so lonely
It's like Skyrim but kind of worse and it's an MMO. It's not the worst thing in the world.
>It's like Skyrim but...
have a nice day WoW trannies, furries and Black folk alike. You haven't played the game.
>if you take the quest markers out, it's a totally different game from all the other open world games!
You sound just like Breath of the Wild fans.
Skyrim but longer which is fricking asinine
Just do solo questing and you’ll have fun till you get to level 30 40 hours in and quit like most mmos
Like TES? Just play it for the questing.
Like MMOs? The only thing it offers is the PvP/combat. The rest is basic Themepark copy paste.
It's a worse version of skyrim. Worse writing, worse voice acting, worse combat, worse quests, worse loot, more expensive to play all the content, much worse AI, server lag, and no mods. Why the frick anyone would want to play this heap of corporatized garbage is beyond my understanding, this game objectively should not exist.
>Worse writing
Hell no. Clockwork City and Orsinium alone place it well above Skyrim on that front.
its funny because they are trying to fix the ccombat (worst aspect) next patch and the morons are acting like its the end of the game
>worse writing
Impossible
It's like a strange version of skyrim you can play with your friends without an insane amount of modding
Its fine if you just want to play more TES I guess as it has a staggering amount of quest and lore all of which is fully voiced but it honestly sucks as an mmo like both WoW and XIV are much better in that regard.
its a decent enough game but the combat is abysmal to the point of ruining the experience.
it would probably be bearable with low latency but I'm an oce gay so its almost unplayable
if you like the universe you should give it a shot, you may enjoy it
its skyrim
but with boring combat
Whoa, another view number bait thread
can't wait for pseudo saucys to come and make up their own headcannon why your imaginary scenario is as it isn't and then other anons pretend they are outraged
>More views and less likes
Bots or something similar
Blizzdrones have a higher likelihood to interact with the upvote system thanks to their onions nature.
High isle trailer has more views on Bethesda channel than Starfield reveal, it's definitely boosted as frick.
>one time pay
>skyrim the mmo
>wow fatigue
How hasn't other shit overtaken wow
It's because WoW has a lot more content creators that repost and react to the trailer where as for ESO you only watch it on the offical channel.
WoW has been a continuous downward trend since roughly WoD.
They really haven't changed up their formula, as a result it has stagnated for quite some time and has been actively cannibalizing it's playerbase through monetization schemes and appealing to a niche demographic of players. Ignoring other things they could add to the game outside of raid content or general progression honestly is not exactly a great move in the long term.
Dragonflight will likely have people return to play for a bit, but like most previous expansions, I don't see people staying. Since the competition actually has stuff to offer rather than just being an off-brand WoW.
It's less about ESO being amazing or whayever, but WoW just kinda sucks to play.
>Counting by YT bot views.
Yeah now tell me which is best songs on YT, dumbass.
oppenheimer style
by not being modern warcraft
Still butthurt ESO doesn't have Aus servers. Even that piece of shit New World had Australian servers. And they were permanently full until everyone realized the game sucked.
do you think new servers would fix your ping? I live in central europe and my ping is the same if not more stable when playing on NA
Skyrim
>youtube views = popularity
You are moronic.
Hey WoWgays, they're ruining the game to appeal to you subhumans. You never have to light attack again. Now it's just spamming 12345 just like your game.
Now that's genuinely interesting.
In general I'd say that WoW is slowly dwindling. It's never going to reach the levels of irrelevancy shown by some garbage AAA games but it's a death by 1000 cuts. I barely ever touched retail because I missed on the glorious vanilla - wotlk age and everything afterwards was more or less meh even when compared to private servers.
The priv scene is dying too and it's not just because of classic. The days when you could have 6-7 3k+ populated Wotlk servers are gone. People are burned out playing the same expansions for 15 years and the alternative from retail is awful, even if you don't mind the globohomosexual shit they recently double downed on the gameplay itself is just bad.
WoW subscription numbers are a fricking mystery and Blizzard hides behind easily misinterpreted "MAU"s which can be anything from cat ladies and boomers accessing bnet to play Hearthstone and zoomers playing Call of Duty MW. In fact if were a betting man I'd say that these two titles make up for majority of active users for blizzard-activision.
The WoW itself at this point probably has less than one million active users not counting the Chinese, around 200k in classic WoW according to ironforge if you consider alts. Retail is harder to guess because of WoW tokens but from my previous experience back in BFA around 2018 I'd say that actual active subscribers are a minority that consists mostly of paypigs, the rest of community consists of casual gold farmers and boosters who pay for expansion and subscriptions with gold.
WoW at this point could have 10,000 people but all Blizzard would need to do is reskin proto drakes, mammoths and a bunch of other weird mounts, add em to the shop and make their quarterly. Don't have the screenshot on me but theres one of some belf homosexual admitting to double dipping on that ugly, flying newt mount that changes colors. And being cheered on for doing it.
