Remove her butt chin and give her full lips as a drow should have, and minthara would be significantly hotter. On the topic of drows, why is Viconia so ugly and busted? There should be zero difference between her appearance in bg2 and bg3. Viconia isn't that old in drow years for her to start to start showing any signs of old age. Even in 5e lore drows live up to nearly thousand years. Another thing, why is the default human in the character creator a Black? What exactly was the thought process behind that decision? It was either to spite their audience, which they know is over 90% white, or to virtue signal. Either way, these things show that the people in charge of character design and character creator are mentally ill and will inject their woke garbage into the games at the expense of their quality. BG3 gets away with all the woke shit because it's a top notch game, but will the next game be as good? Or the game after?
We've already seen a lot of worrying signs in bg3. Bugs that were reported in EA and weren't fixed for years. Basic but much requested features that have been asked for years haven't been added. Whole storylines and character arcs completely rewritten for worse, lots of cut content. These are all the typical signs of a studio getting too big to synergize properly between various teams. In other words, too many cooks in the kitchen. In the past, it was Swen in charge and just 30 people he could micromanage. Now he has to delegate authority and creative decisions to other people. What's worse is that the people in charge aren't going to be the nerdy passionate white guys he worked with two decades ago, now the woke devs are in charge. Over time they'll wrestle more and more creative control from Swen. He may be the CEO and creative director, but there's only so much authority he can realistically exercise. You have to placate your employees or they'll leave. Doesn't help that larian has hired journos and built up a good relationship with game journos in general. One wrong move and larian will go up in flames, as they rely heavily on that good relationship for positive reviews and free advertisement from video game outlets. Swen is also not the guy who will rock the boat. Can imagine Swen saying we can't do X because it's woke/dumb/degenerate? No, he'll meekly go along with it. As he had in bg3, but these woke devs are only going to get bolder in future, and they will put more and more of their ideology into their work.

Everyone I know playing BG3 are doing it in little multiplayer co-op sessions, so it's probably appealing to a lot of people wanting some lengthy multiplayer fix.
I'll get around to playing it one year in my usual solo approach as these should be taken. Never got around to IWD2/NWN1&2 so those have priority.
RPG co-op is the one thing Larian actually tapped into that was largely ignored up to that point. I can fathom playing something like BG3 in MP, but I'm glad people can.
It's what Im doing, couch co-op with my brother. We really only play couch co-op games anymore so it's a huge treat when we play something from Larian. I appreciate it a lot too because I know the marketplace for couch-coop games is very very small.
Couch co-op I can appreciate since it's a dying breed, and I could see myself playing BG3 in that manner where I'm with someone RL, vs. trying to coordinate shit with people on the internet for something that is story intensive.

Starfield is buggy, bland, provides zero challenge and has horrendous writing. Cyberpunk is buggy, railroaded, lifeless and also provides very little challenge. BG3 does a lot of things better than these two, but is still piss easy and has infantile writing and choices that all boil down to "be wacky", "be generic" and "be horny". I know some people exaggerate the horniness of the game but it's true, almost every quest has some sexual shit going on and it's almost always embarrassing and childish.

JA2 is one of the greatest games ever made, JA3 is the first new JA game that doesn't suck ass and might even be able to surpass JA2 once the complete modding tools are out.

My thoughts while playing BG3 after JA. Got bored after leveling marksman on my team and giving them sniper rifles and could headshot half the enemies on the map per turn.

Remove Starfield and Diablo IV. Those two games are blow average and i'd even say that specifically the writing in Starfield makes it a 2/10. Diablo IV is an always online singleplayer game with microtransactions so it goes into the negative zone. -2/10.

I saw Swen Vincke at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen copies of Baldur's Gate 3 in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the boxes and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each box and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Nothing about BG3 is organic, the game sat in EA for a long time, we got bear fricking and suddenly its the greatest game ever, most reviews didn't get past act 1, the game is such a buggy mess that the earliest patch notes didn't even fit.

It's my favorite game to come out in a long time. i already have over 300 hours in it and have finished it on one character and have two more in act 3 right now. Not gonna lie, noticing the globohomosexual shit more and more the more i play it. Making Balduran gay? with a dragon? lmao so fricking moronic. A bunch of gay side characters and one drag queen.
