Is Spiderman good gameplay-wise? I really enjoyed Prototype and Saints Row 4 and I know it doesn't play out the same but I'm still interested.
The barrel for superpower games really is that bone dry, which is wild considering that Saints Row IV is just a stapled together standalone expansion and is still one of the better examples of such games. If they can throw together a game like that outta those pieces, then why is it so hard for other devs to make this shit.
I imagine it's because it's a genre that could only thrive in the period of years where AA studios had plenty of money to throw around. Indie studios do not have enough manpower to cover these sort of games and AAA studios don't think it's as profitable to pursue as generic genres like first person shooters and racing games. Saints Row 4 was made by Volition which was part of THQ for some of its development before being under Deep Silver, Prototype was made by Radical Entertainment under Activision. I don't really blame Volition for trying to reset the entire setting with Agents of Mayhem and the Saints Row reboot after letting it go off the rails too hard.

I haven't played all FromSoft games but Bloodborne does do combat and weapons differently than Dark Souls.
R1 R1 R1, charge R2 occasionally on a big opening. Trick weapons are just sticking 2 different weapons on top of each other which you can get in the other games by just carrying 2 weapons.

Because they're not "fixing it up", they're just finishing a port that was already all but made. Most of the legwork to get it working on PC here was done during the game's development because the plan was always to sell it on PC a couple years down the line, so really all you have to do is finish what they started.
Plus, this is a flex. The people who leaked the Insomniac files asked for $2M for this build specifically and Sony refused to pay, so now they're not just going to release it, they'll release it working.

Not really. Its going to be raw PS5 build so you will need beefy PC to run it at playable framerate because it wont have proper PC centric scalability with settings for example. Plus no one knows if compiled binary and stuff contains all game functions so its possible that it will be playable until certain moment unless there will be option to backport stuff from Ps5 version. homosexual who has build will have to share more info i guess but currently its 50/50.
