Definitely the market where Mario Strikers is going to sell the most.
It didn't even sell that much in the UK
however, in the rest of Europe the sales are skyrocketing, especially France and Spain. Probably gonna sell even more with DLC and the world cup coming soon.
*2nd best market
leave a copy of Fifa/PES next to a pastagay and he will purchase 5 different systems in order to play it
We are unironiclly going to get football hooligans simping for Mario teams
CAHM AHN MEHRIO SCAUR SUM FOOKIN GOAHLS
It also sold very well in Italy.
It could be way better, i think they have an unpolished diamond because it`s basically captain tsubasa with weird humanoids
I have no fricking idea, consoles have a peak
It's the only console worth buying nowadays as Xbox and Snoystation have no noteworthy exclusives
I'm buying my multi-plats on switch too now, cause frick soiny
all 3 consoles are shit you moron
even a Steam Deck makes the switch obsolete, never mind PC.
Yeah no, keep sucking Gabe's dick valve drone.
It's just a really good console. The sales are also a lot more organic/word or mouth rather being based on advertising/hype/brand recognition. The reason the Switch just seems to keep going and going - despite most people agreeing that it's looking pretty underpowered these days - is that most people have a friend or a family member that has one, and when they try it out they realize it's actually really cool and for the price is something they definitely want in their life. Most people I know irl who have one don't even really care if a game is an exclusive or not; it just has such a great library there's shit for everyone and playing modern games on a comfy handheld just works.
I've seen the same. I dont take the switch out often, but it has often happened that acquaintances asked me about it telling me they had been on the verge of buying it for a long time.
It's just an atractive product and word of mouth/personal experience seems to work very well for it. The other consoles have become a bit intimidating for the average user. Like if you get a ps5, its an investment since you should be aware about what's new on it that you can take advantage of, and how the new asscreed is so much better on it than on your crappy ps4.
The switch is self evident about its perks, and to the average normie, they can't tell right away if the graphics are better or worse, specially with indies or old games. This guy was amazed by the fact that i could play FFVII on the thing. Which is trivial if you are into videogames a lot, but for him, seeing someone just playing FFVII on the go was just the fricking future.
You could play ff7 on a fricking 2012 phone. Are people getting more braindead nowadays?
Videogames don't thrive on customers who are aware of the state of the art. FFVII on a phone is a thing since ages ago, but most people who liked FFVII back then don't really play that much anymore or buy videogames for their phones. And it's not that they necessarily didn't believe it was possible, it's just that they did not have the occasion to see FFVII running in a long time, in a handheld no less.
And it's more like "wow, it's pretty cool that you can play EVEN FFVII on that. What else is on it?" And the answer is a great bunch more. If you'd rather play an old comfort game like FFVII than whatever is the last new thing, you'd have a switch 10 times before any other device on the market.
>playing on a touchscreen
only company releasing games
Can't believe the mileage this image is getting.
It has games and is only getting more, simple as.
It's the new gameboy, but twice the word of mouth and kid-friendly.
Looks cute too.
Have you seen the lite?
The games are ultra-family friendly too.
It's a console that everyone in the family can fricking use.
It's like SNES and GBA in one.
JRPG, Sidescroller, and Platformer machine that can be portable and docked
>make fun games to play that aren't movies
>people buy the console
This is the secret Nintendo doesn't want Sony and Microsoft to know
You forget
>force everyone to comply to your consoles hardware capabilities
>don't like it? we have zelda, mario, pokemon, we don't give a frick about you
Nintendo's Apple-like ecosystem is so established at this point that they can release a relatively underpowered console like Switch and it'll sell.
>force everyone to comply to your consoles hardware capabilities
>don't like it? we have zelda, mario, pokemon, we don't give a frick about you
That mindset is what sunk the Wii U.
The Switch is actually easy to develop for because it isn't using a weird proprietary architecture.
WiiU didn't have pokemon tho.
Pokemon is not even the biggest seller on the switch. It's mario Kart 8, which is the same biggest seller as the wiiU, only on a hardware people can understand and tolerate.
Mario, Zelda, and other Nintendo exclusives have 3 functions as far as I see:
1. Tech demo: “look what this weak hardware is capable of”
2. Market potential: “30M people bought MK8 for an average price of $55, so YOU too can become rich if you sell a fraction of that with your game”
3. Standardization: “if people could buy Zelda instead of your action-adventure game, what advantages do you offer? Price, performance, graphics?”
>they can release a relatively underpowered console like Switch and it'll sell.
especially so now that they essentially have a monopoly on handhelds. they have a very comfortable position
Can't stop. Cause it won't stop.
These guys get it.
unironically the games
>cheap
>plenty of software
>bing bing wahoo keeps kids satisfied
>competition is too expensive
playing indie games mobile is tempting for a lot f people without having to pay an arm and leg for a steamdeck
Lo and behold, the casuals, aka, the vast majority of the market, don't give a frick about super high end graphics or performance as long as you actually have games.
steam has more, cheaper, and better games
true but your average essex man wants to sit on the sofa to play games, then hand off the handheld to little darren to play in his bedroom while the adults have TV time
Games
Nintendo Switch has games.
>jarpigs, grindy weebshit, indie, and shovelware for 9 year olds
>only game remotely worth playing whatsoever is civ 6
you sure showed them
switch has no games
I can smell the copium.
But I'm not wrong a majority of those games are multiplats wii u ports or shovelware
Which is a problem if you had a wiiU with all of those games. So it's only a problem for 13 million wiiU owners. The rest can't really complain.
I'm just saying where are the must have games made entirely with switch in mind? It's highest rated game was meant for wii u initially
>must have games made entirely with switch in mind
I personally enjoyed a lot Mario Odyssey, Metroid Dread, Luigi's Mansion 3, Smash bros, Splatoon 2 and Fire Emblem.
Link's awakening 3D remake was cute too.
In any case, people doesn't need to arbitrarily limit the videogames they play on the switch like that. The wiiU games are great, and many third party games don't really use the extra power in other consoles. So all of that adds up to a desirable product for many.
I agree on odyssey, smash and mansion. Though even smash feels like a best of rather than something with it's own identity. I feel the switch library was very frontloaded and fell off after 2019. I really wanted to like ACNH but they fricked it up
I think Smash ultimate is what it needed to be. I personally am not interested in seeing another smash game for a very long time, but we know this won't last.
But well, I think the switch library is more than fine. The last time a nintendo console had a solid Mario, a solid Zelda and a solid Metroid was the Super Nintendo, so on the first party heavy hitters i'm not complaining that much.
But yes, you can tell that game development is not as light as it used to be with them. Everything takes way more time than it should.
in other words, 12% of switch owners. This is the cope that snoys keep hanging on to, can't make this shit up.
Meanwhile, the PS5 is almost 2 years old and unironically has absolutely no games. Not even a meme, it simply has no games.
Get help
my favorites are the
>????
Wii U ports aside, which is already a weak argument, but
>BotW
kek
It released on both platforms at the same time and they even butchered the WiiU version so you couldn't use the gamepad and it had worse performance.
No competition
covid boost
>customer goes to store
>hmm what is the price for the new PS5 and XSX?
>sorry sir, these are out of stock since last year
>ok what should I buy for my gayming homosexual?
>we have the switch who never goes out of stock for some reason haha totally specifically made for pandemics and economic crises lmao xD
>ok, i will buy one 🙂
it's not rocket science
Bongs need portable entertainment while their Government implodes in case they need to evacuate
I have no idea what it is with people that it's somehow mind boggling that something they don't like does well. Like people live in this own universe in their head that they have to like something for it to make sense to be a success.
>obsolete tablet with ancient tech
>console
Nintendo hasn't made a real console since wii u rape trauma caused by playstation
>PowerPC in 2012
what the frick were they thinking?
tablet with ancient tech
Says a lot about everyone else than them. All those billions in marketing and r&d and $100 million games, and they still got their asses kicked by an "obsolete tablet with ancient tech".
Let's see a $300~ handheld/consol vs $860-$1500 consols hmm i wonder why
I always see threads like these but honestly it's just natural for the three consoles to have growths and declines. I can't think of any reason anyone would make threads like these unless they're an abnormal sale increase in the month. 60%-70% sales increase? Sure, make a thread. 24% increase? It's just basic economic expansion and contraction.
But m-muh $800 Steam Deck is still le heckin superior
XBox and PS5 are trash right now. Nintendo is also more child/family friendly.
because the competition besides pc is fricking up
nintendo will never get their shit together if they're winning with mediocre effort
they are getting their shit together in the ways that matter to me: they're courting japanese developers more than sony.
does sony even do Japanese games anymore (that aren't focus-tested by californian sub-humans)
Worth noting that the Switch is also Nintendo's handheld for the moment, so they're double-dipping a little bit
>60+ exclusive GAMES (not including remasters or remakes)
>portability
Some Black person on Ganker: How is this selling?
You are a disingenuous dumb gorilla homosexual, OP kys
It has games you moronic snoy.
It's the only console with games.
It has good games and lots of them.
It's impressive for how long they're supporting this dogshit hardware
whoa....it's almost as if....hardware isn't important....whoa...
Right. It's not like developers can't optimize for shit then you get "playable" witcher 3 looking worse than witcher 1
I love handhelds, sorry frens. Although it makes me pretty sad that most devs don’t give a frick about trying to optimize games for it. Neon White runs pretty decently, but something like the Talos Principle port which is obviously quite a lot older runs and looks like total ass.
I wish I enjoyed sitting at a desk to play games.
there's 8 billion people
only 100 million of them have shitches
Pedos use them to lure in kids. The government should outlaw them at once and execute anyone that works for Nintendo.
you add Xbox to that plan and you might actually start seeing some PS5 players, snoy.
how come you don't own at least 3 already?
Completely disinterested in anything Nintendo but I'm glad that they are doing well in this era. Sony and Microsoft can eat shit.
>$200 - $350
>actually in-stock
>handheld with no retail competition
>has games
>its competition keeps shitting the bed
>How is the Switch selling??????????
It is a mystery.
There are people still waiting for a switch pro
PS4 sold more than Switch's entire existence, PS5 is sold out and Xbox is a joke console.
