How the hell were the villagers scared of this?
What, were they afraid of their own shadows too?

imagine her bodycount
1. Me.
OH NO NO NO
She's faithful, i'll give her that
God I wish I had as much willpower as certain people, you give them a seed, and they'll pretend they have an entire plantation.
3 as far we know
In ancient japanese history, every major settlement used to be deathly paranoid and afraid of foreigners, even if they looked exactly the same as them, and called them onis. From their perspective, Ogerpon absolutely looked like a monster just for being a foreigner.
Sauce?
Did you miss the part where the villagers see Ogerpon for the first time and think it's cute?
You'd be scared too if you saw a lil shid walk up to the monsters of the village, and crack their skulls with a mace, and then leave without even missing a step.
She is literally the "refuse to elaborate" meme.
>Bf got killed
>Go to their murderers
>Break every muscle and bone of those mfs while they scream for mercy
>Drag a bloody mace as people watch what you left of them
>Refuse to elaborate, and hide in the mountains forever
but this also happened before all of this. If you remember, Ogerpon and her trainer tried to enter the village at first, but everyone was cared of them, so they started wearing masks to walk around freely
*scared
They were scared of them because he'd publicly frick Ogerpon in front of them.
The citizens of Kitakami are incredibly racist
Because she brutally murdered the lousy three and that legendary ass beating mind broke the villagers and caused a massive misunderstanding. Now imagine the people that had to actually burred those three mangled Pokemon.
typical japanese youkai. people were also afraid of turtle lizard kappa people with duck bills that would eat out your intestines starting from your butthole
She was wearing the grass mask which looks definitely scarier and, more importantly, they watched her literally bludgeon three Pokémon to death with a club in a raging fit of despair.
Because they watched her murder three Pokémon with no remorse
The amusing thing is that I've heard the "no, the oni was actually good, everyone else was in the wrong" so many fricking times in all sort of anime and videogames that the actually new and refreshing thing, the surprising thing was if they were the bad guys.
Actually, right now I can't thinkg on a single time the oni story gone about it being actually evil, its always some missunderstanding shit
Nioh 2 plays it straight.
I do not remember exactly right now, but I do remember Otakemaru going apeshit for a reason, he became evil because the humans fricked with him, he had all the right to be mad and murder them but his sister didn't want him to become a monster.
So...playing it "straight" is kind of an strentch here, since yes he killed the humans but he had his valid reasons to wanted to do that.
Otakemaru defended his human village but was rather ruthless about it, and they finally turned on him when he went too far by slaughtering a petty thief, he then proceeded to go full aratama and declare war on humanity and any nigitama that didn't join him in human genocide, creating a chain of events that would have his disembodied hatred cause death, destruction, and mayhem across japan for centuries to come on top of personally killing most of his own remaining family
So while they did overreact he proceed to overreact even harder
Goblin slayer had an ogre trying to raise an army of goblins, it's role as a monster was played completely straight
Tokyo Ravens had a character possessed by an ogre that actually did evil shit before it was tamed and put as body guard, man I really miss that series
Kekkaishi had them both in good and bad roles, both played well
As a matter of fact if you search for series on Japanese priests and exorcisms you will find a lot of bad ogres,it's such a shame that genre isn't popular anymore the remake of ushitora was it's last big hurrah in recent memory
It's rare to see an ogre as evil from the get go these days and maybe I'm indeed cheaten by adding Tokyo Ravens and kekkaishi since they are at least a decade old but they were good
what's the best mask for ogrepon guys?
Fire > Water > Stone
alright. I want to train mine but I guess it doesn't really matter, it's a physical attacker in all forms
Rock is underrated
Sturdy gives you a built in sash and having a 100% accurate stone edge is awesome
I like Rock, free sturdy is underrated and stone edge with 100 accuracy is quite unheard of
I'm not a waifumon by any means (and I didn't even know it was female until catching) but I never felt as attached to a legendary pokemon ever, the story even if simple really carried this dlc and sold ogrepon for me. I'll be using it on my team from now on
I want Poke-Fionna to give me a footjob with her wooden oger feet and give me several splinters.
I too would be scared of this coming down from a mountain and pouncing on my wiener.
My impression was honestly more that they were probably originally scared of both her and her totally-not-husband trainer and the trainer more so (guy looks swole) and then when she just murdered the Loyal 3 so brutally it really solidified their bias. After that no one saw her and she got and worse and worse reputation by word of mouth (aside from in the Mask Maker family line) and stories about her and her human being monstrous got mixed.
