Bad players struggle with ranged units that arent archers so this is a QoL for them.
Realistically this changes nothing for everyone other than lord sniping since if you werent moronic you were setting up on a hill so all your gunners could shoot anyway

Probably because the guns in S2 pretty much one shot if they hit from what I remember. So a volley could be devastating as was the artillery. Warhammer units can tank multiple shots until their health gets whittled down and they die off

See that's kinda a funny thing, since technically Eltharion (and to a lesser extent Grom) is to blame for that. Originally Yvresse was just free real estate for AI Tyrion to confederate early, giving him the bomus economy that gets boosted by the usual A.I. cheats.
After W&P released not only is Yvresse controlled by another LL, but if you're not playing Eltharion of Grom, Grom also pops up on Ulthuan between Tyrion and Yvresse.
So while Morathi can build her big murderball to slam into Ulthuan, Tyrion can no longer prop himself up fast enough to slap it back, and once Morathi gets a foothold on Ulthuan she bends the Asur over and has her way with them.

The thing about Morathi is that for a while her writing was all over the place and would constantly contradict itself. In some cases she worshipped Slaanesh, in others she was devoted only to Khaine, in some she did care deeply for Aenarion and Malekith, in others she only was only using them for her own gain.
I believe the 'concrete' version is that she does love them but also wants to basically turm her family into gods, which is what she manages to do in AoS. Her dealings with Chaos and Slaanesh were purely for the sake of advancing her own goals and her 'worship' of Khaine was only so she could supplant him.
That said Malekith doesn't care that much for Morathi, and mostly just keeps her around because she IS a frick-off powerful sorceress whose machinations help keep the Druchii in line and assist in his attempts to take Ulthuan.
AoS Morathi doesn’t care about anyone but herself. Maly has been holding Slannesh down by himself for untold generations until the prostitute decides to climb inside slannesh to eat the elf souls.

No malerion (maly and his dragon fused) is way above Morathi who is the weakest of the elvish gods and only became a god by eating the souls of most of the pheonix king line in Slanneshes rectum.
Malerion has been entirely consumed with holding back slannesh, with occasional help from Tyrion who’s god of justice and war or something now.

They're very inflexible and capped mostly by time (with numerous little tricks to circumvent the limitations somewhat, but only somewhat).
Before you get off the ground as TK you're just awful and you always have to persevere through that nightmare zone before you get to the constructs and research some army techs, no way to skip it. Factions that have proper killy infantry early will make your life very painful - savage orcs and lizardmanii are great examples.

I would say something like allow transfers of units FROM disciple armies but not TO disciple armies, and significantly lower recruitment time/cost in areas with high slanny corruption.
Slanny trannies should have followers constantly begging to join, more loreful and makes it a little more unique in how they get their troops back.
Maybe some kind of stealth stuff? More things to do with captives? Special interactions with Morathi?

Nah like anon said make Saanesh have a horde of Gankerirgins as fodder troops that exist to take punishment with high cost, single or few entity, units that are fricking busted if only they were not ruinously expensive and all universally have poor morale that needs to be managed with map buffs and legendary lords in the field. The quality troops are best in class of their role, sans tankieness, killyness and magic.

The Glottkin are three characters that conveniently take the form of one giant monster with two guys permanently riding on its back, which makes them a doddle to implement as a single entity in-game. They're basically the Sisters of Twilight except their mount is technically a third character.

Tamurkhan would be the obvious choice, I've seen people suggesting he'd be part of a lord pack with Elspeth von Draken which would make sense.

Who you playing?
As a general battle advice learn what each knight is for. They're not just an upgrade line, each fills a niche (errant do become useless fast tho). Also make peasantarchermanii. Simple guide to horse units:
>errant - chaff killers, surprisingly good
>of the realm - bread and butter anti-large
>questing - they do what midline AP infantry (think longbeards or longswords) does for normal factions except they're on a horse
>grail knights - super sayan version of the knights of the realm, magic attack can be super important
>grail guardians - super sayan version of the questing knights, magic attack once again (but WAY less AP, these are tanks to the damage dealers of Questing knights)
>pegasus/hippo - they fly lmao
>non-knight riding horses - Do you take me for a churl? the horse archers I use sometimes because I like horse archers as a concept, but they're probably not even close to optimal

Economically always go for the farm eco, it's the easiest in the game, no difficult decisions involved at any point, just maek farm everywhere and get endless money.
Not helf or delf levels of endless money unfortunately, but at least it's easy.
You don't have supply lines and so you can use a lot of Lords as reinforcements without having to worry about money as much.

Bretonnia is big on 2 things

Louen is an absolute beast, regular Bretonnian lords are absolute beasts, grail paladins are absolute beasts, and damsels healbawd for all of these chads. Prophetesses are shit unless you need a caster and can't recruit damsels, just take your dude with a sword and go mog the enemy lord

Hammer and anvil is the bread and butter of Bretonnia, just like Medieval 2 except your khomies can only dream of being general's bodyguard. The more advanced strategy of Bretonnia is hammer and hammer. Getting gud at Bretonnia is getting gud at microing your cav.
Peasants are OK. Trebuchets and bowmen are good and easy to defend as you should have 100% flank control. Peasant melee is shit, they try (and fail) to hold the line for your cav to charge the enemy until you can replace them with more cav for double the charging

I'm mostly worried about them fricking up the campaign in some major way, like how Chaos Realms is shit and boring by fundamental design, or perhaps them making the game run even worse than it already does. For instance they've said some shit about adding "end-game events" into IE so the late-game is more challenging. This could easily turn the whole game into putrid diarrhea like Chaos Realms. CA are extremely lazy and occasionally highly incompetent, if they implement these "events" the way they implement "events" usually, as in literally spawning armies in your territory out of thin air, they could easily nuke the whole campaign with their utter moronation, like they nuked Chaos Realms.
Then again any competent late-game event would require more effort and time than I expect CA to be capable of giving, so I could certainly see them dumping some sub-par garbage into the game that completely ruins IE.
The end game event (Chaos invasions) of Mortal Empires already come with built in customization where you can turn it off completely and set it's intensity and stuff.

Until then you had the invasion spawning in the ocean, like 2 turns away from some factions' heartland areas with no option to configure it or game mechanics to manage it in the campaign itself. Depends on the faction. Anything in southern Lustria got shitloads of stacks coming straight into your back line, far away from where your front would be at that point in the game, which means you either have to waste armies sitting in settlements or waste economy by spamming walls everywhere even though no actual enemy faction would ever reach those cities.

Queek and Ska are as autistic as each other. Queek has a genuine emotional attachment to Ska and will legitimately forgive him for mistakes, while Ska is basically the only rat in all Skavendom that isn't looking for an opportunity to backstab his master (though he isn't that bright and does sometimes get duped into working against Queek's interests by cunning rivals).

I like the idea of some units being able to shoot touching masses as an ability like some kind of psuedo-strider since this sort of thing can be easily punished with magic/artillery. Perhaps have it strictly limited between certain units like only empire spearmen and handgunners for pikeshot tactics.
What do you mean? Game's only real issues are, meager content, which was exactly what WH2 and WH1 had on release, and lack of immortal empires which is mainly an issue because the primary campaign isn't very enjoyable. I always hated Vortex so thats not surprising to me in the least.
The game will honestly be 90% fixed as soon as immortal empires is working and the other 10% with some DLC to round out the rosters.
