Pretty much. Upgraded my SSD to 3tb and card to a 4090 a few months ago. But I've been playing Yakuza (0,1, then 2) on my Xbox Series X ever since. Only turn on the PC to shitpost while eating dinner.
Probably has a lot to do with getting older. You have more money to upgrade and afford games, but less time and your interests become more streamlined and specific so there's simply not as much to play that piques your interest. I probably have like 600 games in my Steam library that I've never touched. Not enough time to waste on stuff that doesn't sound like a lot of fun.
I remember I'd play pretty much anything I'd get my hands on as a kid. But I only play weeb shit and city management games now.
I think I have a problem with motivation and choice paralysis, maybe depression too but I'm not self diagnosing.
I can play any pc game, and I want to play many...I just don't.
No point in upgrading your computer. My 5 year old gaming PC runs everything I throw at it and new games are so shit, I don't even remember the last time a big studio put out a game I was excited about. I might have to upgrade my rig for MH6 though...
yep it's called getting older. which is why if i have kids i'd get them powerful hardware every few years so they can enjoy games while they still can.
I don't buy that many games, I only buy games if I know I'll play them, so that means I play about 3-5 games per year but yeah I did upgrade recently because I've got nothing better to do
I don't upgrade the more games I have, only when a game comes out that I really want but I want to play it comfortably I.e no jet engine fans/60fps/zero stutter
mines is the same all the way
I bought a SteamDeck and started pirating everything so my graph is technically the complete inverse.
You play more games than you have? Wat?
god only lets me play warcraft. i dont like it too much, but he wont give me enough money to buy anything else.

how do you even play more games than you have?
They're not yours, eg: your friend's or pirated.
As a kid I rented games a lot more than I bought them
I stopped upgrading my pc a decade ago and I haven't bought a game in 9 years. I'm not really sure why I even browse Ganker, to be honest.
My upgrades flatlined years ago, I only get a couple new games per year now, and I play them one at a time per device until I wear them out.
I'm really supposed to upgrade my PC every 5 years? A 2070 is a dinosaur now? PC gaming is gay, how does anyone keep up.

I have a 4090 and a 3090 in my PC now so my PC Specs graph is hockey sticking compared to the games I played.
I would love a game that went all in on path tracing though.
Would be the same except I've stopped buying games.
my red is blue
my green is blue
my blue is green.
nah my blue line is absolutely all over the fricking place
The lines are starting to converge over time, if I only count the games I have paid for and remove the freebies from the equation.

My dick was sore for two straight days after I discovered AI for myself.
>he plays more games than he has
Very true until 5 years ago or so. I stopped buying games and I haven't upgraded my pc in 10 years.

underageb&
How can you play more games than what you have?
I have maybe an hour, two every week at most due to having two kids and work and shit
Accurate until I bought a Switch, now I play a lot more games
PC is the problem (Ganker will never admit this though)
I don't upgrade the more games I have, only when a game comes out that I really want but I want to play it comfortably I.e no jet engine fans/60fps/zero stutter
True. I enjoyed video games much more as a teenager with a pentium 4 wooden PC than I do now, but I still buy them.
Sometimes I wish my friends would frick off so I can play what I want.
swap the blue and green and that sounds about right
