That's literally what most people mean by edgy. Drawn Together was shock value for shock value's sake, that was the appeal of it.

Plenty of people have looked back and bashed South Park in the last few years, but unfortunately there's plenty of people who took its way of half hearted social commentary and took it heart, like running to back for tobacco companies because you think anti-smoking is cringe.
