This dlc only exists to shill merch for the actual popular wano characters so don’t expect any character that isn’t already selling figures to get anything. All the hidden dlc characters are just going to be installs for Strawhats and Mid/Law (Ifrit Jamble Sanji, Demon Robin, etc).
My current copehope is that these nine are a stopgap using early PW5 assets, and they didn't include all those Wano characters because a full Wano arc would of course be the main selling point.
My major (never-ever) hope is that PW5 includes every arc from East Blue to Wano, and that every playable character from the past 4 games returns, on top of some newcomers.
Just make Luffy OP as frick in his Gear 5 form with all the wacky moves he can do. He can literally turn himself into a giant so who knows how it will turn out

It'd be possible for a fake to guess Onigashima Luffy and Uta as characters, and even at a stretch to guess that there'd be three waves of three characters each, but Young Roger is way out of left field and we knew about him a couple weeks before his silhouette was shown.

Joyboy was Sun God Nika all along, and he was a rubber man. Gum Gum Fruit was a name used by the WG to cover up the actual fruit's name, Human-Human Fruit (Mythical Model: Nika). Gear 5 gives Luffy the freedom to fight anyway he wants, which basically translates to cartoon logic. He can make everyone and everything around him into rubber, including the ground and lightning. He also did the Wile E Coyote running off the cliff gag, and even randomly formed goggles when fighting Lucci again.

I want more of the Blackbeard pirates to be playable. Shiryu (w/Absalom's fruit) is one of my favourite characters.
Pirate Warriors 4 had a transformation mechanic, so I assume just like that.
The game just becomes the Deadpool game when he goes Gear 5, and he starts smacking enemies with their own health bars.
