My personal wishlist >Dongle for wireless connection to TVs/wireless connection for compatible smart TVs in addition to optional dock use >Good Nvidia chip allowing a PS4 equivalent in handheld >Dock that upgrades performance (hence not being the standard way to connect to a TV) >Steam Deck inspired ergonomics >OLED as standard >Backwards compatible >SSD >Hall effect joysticks
>Good Nvidia chip allowing a PS4 equivalent in handheld
7840U/Z1 Extreme in the new handhelds is already faster than base PS4 I would be really surprised if Switch 2 isn't in the same ballpark. Faster if garden gnometendo bothers to use Thor instead of Orin.
splice it in two, one is a more powerful home console, the other is a lighter portable console with gimmicks
name them seperate things to not confuse buyers, the light portable console could be DS (short for Dynamic Switch) and the home console could be called wii (I have nothing clever to put here because I already ran the joke into the ground)
All it needs is more power. It's already the perfect gimmick they could do.
They're probably afraid of a Gamecube scenario, but the GBA did well on the other hand.
Do the same as switch, only get rid of the pretentious dock/undock trash. Make a home console make a handheld unit, still the same switch eco system like they planned. Will make a mint.
Non-negotiable limitations strike me to be >shouldn't lose any features >will not be pure-docked or pure-portable >will be more powerful
Ultimately I think they'd be best served by refining what's already there. Keep doing removable controllers with two latch-on rails on the side of the system, and make sure they're more comfortable than joycons were, the AA pack grip is a nice design. Keep doing a tablet that can be placed in a dock, nobody has any problem with that design without inventing imaginary consoles that only do one or the other (Switch Lite has limitations in this regard, not very comparable to a portable-only Switch). Keep on with the 720p screen and 1080p docked output because the pixel density and rendering resolutions they have for a screen of that size is perfectly fine, and sets very reasonable performance goals and battery-life expectations.
Return the "fun" UI elements of previous consoles, actually use the theme system you set up that only really goes used by pirates, and do more with joycons, like having an official d-pad left joycon that works wirelessly. That's really all I've got. I don't want any huge sweeping additions or radical changes to the Switch and how it worked.
Keep the same concept, but give it Thunderbolt 3/4 and make the dock a dedicated external GPU so that when it's in dock mode, it'll actually get a power boost.
>DLSS for 4K support >slight power upgrade
That’s it. Keeping dev costs low is clearly a benefit for the system, and I’d really capitalize on that. Optionally, themes would be fun.
Make it four times thicker so it can fit fully fledged high power components in it.
Ship it with a new "Wii-Switch Fit" with weight lifting regimens where it's just you lifting the 5 kilogram Switch 2.
Some hardware adjustments and upgrades are at service, the controller and the processing power being given an important focus.
The thing about the processor, how much can you get that to last on a limited form factor?, My old switch can only do a little over 2 hours of ToTK while in plane mode and headphones.
I'm expecting a stupid dumb name attached to it that makes people think it's an add-on to the current system and it either fails spectularly or launches the brand to newer heights
They scrap Switch 2 and create Gamecube 2 which is miles ahead of the PS5 in performance, no more gimmicks, just raw power so that developers can make the best games possible
I want a better home menu. Maybe a feature where L and R buttons are scroll wheels. HD rumble is fine but it needs a better development kit. Also controller speakers that play sound effects.
No switching just a home console.
just more computational power and a nvme ssd

absolute retard those chips pull 20W
Why do zoomers want everything to be wireless? Don't you bros know about latency?
latency shmatency I'm playing bing bing wahoo not a fighting game

Super Switch.
The Switch was Nintendo's best console since the SNES, just continue the concept without adding any new retarded gimmicks
Switch get Ipad
They should sell it with a belt that has a laptop battery in it. Then you can be all cyberpunk with a wire attaching the belt to the switch.
All it needs is more power. It's already the perfect gimmick they could do.

Switch Streetpass and home menu skins

Ramp up the fan curve. My hands get bitchin warm.
Tendies come up with the ugliest, stupidest switch 2 mockups ever. This thing looks hideous and cumbersome, and folding screens are dogshit
make some games that arent just fucking wii u ports and DLC
Portability is pretty gay but I’ll admit it sells a lot because of it. Just do the same concept and make it more powerful

just relesse games on PC, no one needs this plastic console crap

better graphics
better sticks
proper d-pad
analogue triggers
a stylus
1080p is not acceptable in 2023
It makes no sense that games look better in the weaker handheld mode, because the resolution on TV is so low.

Gamecube tanked as a format m8. "I want them to kill themselves to satisfy my need for a Nintendo Playstation graphics-box"
Anon, if the Series X and PS5 are so powerful, leaps ahead the Switch, where are the amazing games? See where I'm going with this?
>where are the amazing games?
>List games
>Waahh Wahhh It doesn't counts!! Because I said so!!
See where I'm going with this?
You have to list games before anyone can say they don't count. Where are they, Gamesfield?
Better specs.
how many people even take the switch out of the dock I would just ditch the handheld aspect
Pretty frequently.
I like playing it in bed.
I use it handheld about 30-40% of the time
