How would you make a crossover game? When I first heard SMT x FireEmblem was a thing I was extremely hyped but when I saw the game I thought it made sense they went that direction with it. What franchise would work best with Pokémon on a crossover style game?

A pokemon life sim game would work really well. Story of seasons devs are even more inept than gamefreak though so it shouldn't happen even if it would print money
I think with how comfy farm sim games are a Pokémon one would work well with needing to catch and train certain Pokémon. Miltank, any sheep mon for resources
I was thinking that now that breeding mechanics have more or less been eliminated from the mainline games due to quality of life changes that they could make spin offs that focus on them. Because I miss doing shit like chain breeding egg moves, raising a hitmonchan so you can get ice punch on a lopunny was fun.

Also I wouldn't let pokemon get near SMT at all, too different of a tone. The fe x smt crossover was a disaster when all they needed was to make it Devil Survivor 3. The original idea was supposed to be fe x pokemon, which should've happen but it was planned before fe got big again

pokemon and dragon quest would make for a really cute crossover. don't think it could work with the serious tone of SMT.
forgot to mention the obvious, animal crossing is practically tailor made for a pokémon crossover.
Etrian Odyssey is better for a crossover with Pokémon.
