Genuinely sad, I really liked the combat/builds. As much as it devolves into utsumi and invincible. Would have loved to have fought other bosses. Imagine fighting Golbez or any other foe. A shame

Decrease the production value. FF for some time strived to be at the cutting edge of graphics. The Luminous engine being it's downfall in trying to get that in development. It would be a miracle if it ever reaches the cutting edge so don't force it. Make more mainline single player releases on a smaller budget. FF really slowed down since 10 and considering modern releases it will probably stay that way. however if they had 2 teams on 4-6 year development cycles we could see more games. Get some new talent that respects the FF legacy and isn't afraid to show it. I think 16 was a step in the right direction after the mediocrity of 15 and 13. Also the sony exclusivity probably hurts more than helps. I think the right mix of new and old talent and a more stable dev cycle could bring a renaissance I doubt it will happen. 14 makes more money for them than anything else.

Strictly speaking in terms of business, what they need to do is do like Capcom and find a formula that works and run it into the ground with an entry every other year, including nostalgia-bait remakes. FF7 Remake is pretty close to a winning formula and it is a nostalgia-bait remake, so they just need to iron out the issues with that and they should be good. Remaking 8, 9, or 10 would be a good idea instead of trying to put all their eggs into the basket of FF7 Remake like they seem to be.

But of all the FFs, SQEX needs to stop leaning so hard on the FF7 IP with mobile games, a hundred tie in games and side-stories, movies, FF7 this and that.... 16 iterations, and SQEX only focuses on 7? Stupid, stop it....
IF any iteration that should get the FF7 treatment, it's FF6. That game could use a sequel, or a prequel, or 3D remake (like FF4)... or just a top down modernized remake like FF7... Elaborate more on Shadow's backstory (and relation to Relm), Cyan's catfishing, Terra and Leo shipping...
Make FF11 free-to-play. The game is so frickin' old now, the mechanics are too antiquated these days, even EQ is free to play too, I mean, what is the point in asking for a sub at this point? Last I checked they aren't making any content for it anymore, so why not just open 'er up to the masses who don't want to pay a sub for a 20 year old dead game? Load it up with MTX, I don't give a frick; I just want a nostalgia trip.
Final Fantasy Tactics could use a PC port through Steam.
A sequel to "Stranger to Paradise", as long as they fix all the grindy shit and improve on the game mechanics better. I like the concept of the alternative/prequel/expanded universe. The hints that all FF's could be canonically linked is something worth exploring.
make Final Fantasy Versus 16 and double down on the cuhrayzee combat. make it actually hard as well.
