It has been developed during a time when women, trannies and Black folk didn't infect the industry yet.
So you're saying the industry became Gotham City.
No, it became the asylum.
sure
that's for the shitty vita game.
The behind the scenes for this game is really great. Everyone here was just concerned about making a good fricking game.
2008 was a different era.
>using my ps3 to ripp songs off a bunch of CDs, mak my own custom Playlists, and listen to them while playing Batman/infamous
PS3 era was undoubtedly kino.. we were just too blind to see it.
>PS3 era was undoubtedly kino
kek
I was there. It wasn't. It had as much shitting on it as we have today.
>I was there
Then you're just dumb I guess? Ps3 was the last "leap" for consoles. Ps4/5 just feel like progression of a product, but the difference between 3 and 2 was even greater than 2 and 1
NTA, but even during that generation we had oldheads make valid points about why gen 7 sucked. You’re a zoomer.
>nothing but white dudes
YIKES!
Never played this game but I kinda want to now after watching a bit of this. Yeah, yeah, I’m late and all but I’ll give it a shot. Is the PS4 version a good port/remaster?
no, it's a disaster. don't you have a semi decent PC?
It’s not unplayable but the remaster fricks up the aesthetics.
It's a really old game, you could play it on an actual toaster.
Were there any games with a similar combat system before Arkham?
It infurates me that people compare these game as if Spider-man can hold up to any of the Arkham games in any way
Also the combat is not the same at all really, Arkham games are all about counters and timing, Spider-Man is about dodging and juggling, both are button mashers, but Arkham games at least have more depth
>arkham games
>any depth whatsoever
You don't know what you are talking about.
When compared to Spider-Man? Yes, there is definitely more depth there
>Gankertard once again fails to understand relative quality
Sometimes I wonder what the point of posting here is.
Activision unironically had a better shot at competiting with Arkham than Sony. Hiring the actual creator of 2099 to write their games and comic nerds to keep track of the lore, making sure they didn't just shit all over the characters with their own made up bullshit.
Sadly Activision refused to give their devs enough money and time.
AssCreed games did it before Arkham but it was passable at best back then.
Prince of Persia Sands of Time
>Love for the source material
>Classic level design with modern sensibilities
>They wanted to make a good game.
>They had some people who worked on previous Batman stuff.
>They had some people who worked on previous Batman stuff
Comic related right? Previous Batman games were Gameboy titles and a PS1 game.
It’s written by the guy who wrote The Animated Series, Paul Dini.
I would have liked to have seen all the cool shit they did but I grew tired of the combat before long. Giving the player a toolkit of melee combat abilities is good. Requiring that certain ones be used for certain enemies is good, and enforcing that requirement by punishing the use of the wrong ones CAN be good if the controls are reliable. But throwing an ass-ton of enemies at the player with a mix of attack restrictions and punishing the player for using the "wrong attack" because they were magnetized to an enemy that they did not intend, and arguably toward which their stick was not pointed, is just fricking aids. That shit happens CONSTANTLY and it breaks your combo. I got fricking sick of it and uninstalled.
It was at its best when it was leaning more to horror, whenever the goofy joker steroids thing came into play the game got worse. Of course by the second game the metroidvania horror thing it had going was completely gone and replaced by an open world.
Still letdown when Wii port canceled
I genuinely can't decide if Asylum is better or City is better.
The linear experience comes out on top.
