Menu looks great. Been seeing your project for years, and will say that I've always thought the gameworld art really needs some love. It's very uninteresting. Could at least have visible overworld monsters?
small indie company preasu undastan close to release I'm probably gonna go retouch the oveworld art, add setpieces etc. that or I'll hire a guy to pretty it up
Pretty good, the gay comments probably come from the art-looking feminine. His face is soft, and rounded, his pose is feminine. I'm sure you are aware of that and so on.
pretty good. Very very close to 500 reviews. Hopefully the march sale will get it there. Very hype. Still trying to "earn" them with lots of updates. It's hard when some things are out of your control. You feel me baby?
Here’s a model of a Golem Sentry, one of the enemies exclusive to this new area. They function similarly to the robot scorpions in Dinosaur Planet, as they’ll idly spin around before backflipping into a combat pose and firing their weapons (in the Golems’ case, it’s their fists).
I have a feeling making animations for these guys’ll be pretty fun.
trying to wrap my brain around events in c# and unity. Hopefully tomorrow I'll implement a coin pickup mechanic so I can move on to maybe working on some assets.
I like how the jumping and moving feels. It's nothing fancy, just the inbuilt character controller but done right.
>Been practicing on how to make low poly models with pixel art textures >Computer can't handle anything too high of fidelity so just settled on low end crap >Because of my own autism, been fine tuning every UV on my models >Everything has to be perfectly align and scale before I move on >Mainly followed what other artists were doing, many of them doing models with incredibly tight restrictions on texture sizes >Out of curiosity, download some models from old games like MML, DK64, etc. just to see how they actually did it >Textures just have randomly scattered elements >UV maps are a mess >Roll has a bunch of misc irrelevant junk in her textures that aren't even for her >There's also super low resolution drawings of Roll just squeezed in to whatever open space they had available >Donkey Kong is just one small DK logo graphic, and a set of eyes >The rest is just two blobs of gradient colors ramps where the UV maps are just randomly scattered around it
I've been wasting my time
Been trying out unreal, not a fan. Everything feels like its fighting against you the second you don't want to go off the beaten path. I now understand why all unreal engine games look and feel so samey.
Is learning how to draw by just trying to copy the stuff that I like a legitimate form of learning? Or should I get started with some art basics?
Or should I skip straight into knowing how to do 3d models in blender and skip this frickery?
I can learn an instrument by playing the music that I like and I was wondering if I could do the same with drawing with good results.
Making some 3d art leading up to it
Nice anon, anything you want to share with the class?
a bit too well tbh, I've gotten a lot of feedback that the art is inconsistent. might have to go back and redo some stuff soon
looks like a vagoo
true to its inspiration
woah, that looks nice anon
thanks, glad you guys think so. I only contributed to a very small fraction of it but I agree
Hey man, be proud of what you contributed.
I like it. Keep it up.
I like it. Make a monster called smagma.
say no more senpai

Lookin good mammothkun! I think it really concretizes the monster collecting aspect for people
Gonna finally finish my PvP rotmg clone soon bros
INSHALLAH
thanks dude, yours is looking better than ever. it'd be cool to work with you sometime
Getting the female rival done for my game. Here’s the progress thus far.
any other art to show off im curious
I showed off my player character awhile back. Got a lot of good (and very gay) comments about him.
Pretty good, the gay comments probably come from the art-looking feminine. His face is soft, and rounded, his pose is feminine. I'm sure you are aware of that and so on.
I’m aware, I thought it was hilarious personally.
zesty
>no mouth
Peak woman.
have a nice day covid spamming pedo.

My game is supposed to release this month but my internet has been down for a couple of days
I'm making it so I can run scripts while playing the game. It's going to be a gigantic mess.
*write and run
Gonna try to make a new level tomorrow, out of ideas though. Maybe an ice level. Got 500 plays so far, happy with the progress.
frozen river level?
The Crystal Golem is now in its rightful place.
But not for long…
I think it's going well. Gonna be interesting with level designing a lot.
>can draw
>can animate
>can make 3D models
>can animate 3D models
>Cant into sound design, sfx, and music
If you aren't completely broke this is an easy problem to solve
like, pay someone?
that's not a problem
Make a game about a sexy mime there you go.
That's your only freebee from this idea guy.
You can commission music or ask for stuff here. Most sound effects you can find/manipulate online
How much music done in the style of a electro rock opera can i get for 50 smackers?
one song
got a twitter?
>music
>twitter
i dont know man, im not going to send 50 bucks to an email on Ganker.
thanks. only need a 1 minutue loop.
Depends on who you ask.
play with ai midis, give them to someone to edit/improve. you can probably get more for your money that way. 50$ is maybe one music.
if you need a music guy I might be game, post your project
Every successful indie game has left audio to last
You can think about the music while doing the other things.

Thats alot of reviews what did you make anon?
>Still trying to "earn" them with lots of updates
is it your experience that updates are good for sales?
What price is your game and how many sales? For science purposes

looks cool
I made his spinning animation. Sorry about the Golem looking so blown out, damn color correction messed up the video.

I got the coof so i got no drive to do shit.
Frick the CCP and their bioweapons.
its just the flu bro

those assets were made in comoletely different hardware and software, you cant get a full idea on how things were made with those.
Been trying out unreal, not a fan. Everything feels like its fighting against you the second you don't want to go off the beaten path. I now understand why all unreal engine games look and feel so samey.
I'm still making weapons
redoing my vulkan backend for the hundredth time
might actually get to the game dev part soon :^)
Been working on a VR BMX game for a while.
Just got networked physics to look smooth between all players at high frame rates (tested up to 120ish)

Yeah but it's obviously lacking. Definitely study fundamental shit but mix that with drawing and copying shit you like.
thank you! I'll be searching for some basics
drawabox is good for motorskill shit and some fundies but also go look through /ic/'s sticky.
adding bloat
How do you people deal with crippling ADHD? It's physically impossible for me to sit down on just one idea now
Working on Golem Sentry AI still.
