How's your playthrough going? I just defeated the Dot EXE crew. I most likely could have beaten it by now but I've been searching every inch of the maps for secrets.

Fantastic game, amazing visual, absolutely killer soundtrack.
The only issue is it's way too fricking short. I beat it in about 14 hours and I wasn't even rushing through it.
Same, I beat it in just under 10 hours and I was scouring most areas for spray points and cosmetics
Admittedly I haven't played it in forever but I remember JSRF being a lot longer than this.
JSRF is actually pretty short, that was just more common back then. This is still a bit shorter though, but not by much.
It was probably just me being a fricking idiot kid; I was pretty bad at games back then and I remember playing JSRF for hours and hours and hours but never actually beating it.
Its more like your kid brain makes everything feel bigger and last longer. And you just had fun experiencing being in the game and how fun movement and fricking about feels. You didnt have rhe 'I have to finish this' feel or at least not as bad. But its not impossible to get this feeling from games as an adult.
At least thats how I felt. I wandered Lego Island for hours.
The OG is even shorter, although I dunno if this counts the extra Cube/Combo section that was added for NA or not
I have a save file from 2002 with 100% and 80 hours played. Maybe it's fun to just explore like jsrf
You guys are me. I actually replayed JSRF not too long ago and now I know why I took so long back then. The game has some absolutely brutal rail sections where one frick up sends you plummeting down and it takes another 5-10 minutes of bullshit to get back up. It doesn't help that some of them involve some really janky camera angle instant switching so sometimes you don't even know you have to jump until it's way too late because the end of the rail isn't even visible.
As a kid, I could totally see myself fricking this up over and over again and a map that should only take like 20 minutes to beat would take hours of fricking up.
I don't really remember how far I got in JSRF; the last part of the story that I remember to was Yo-Yo disappearing because he "went after the golden rhinos" or something like that.
>14 hours
>WAY TOO SHORT
Bruh what is wrong with you lol, that's way longer than JSR and basically on par with future.
What do you homies expect?
Closing in on the end, just have the cyber whatever crew and whatever comes afterward. Then I'm.pretty sure I'm gonna 100% it. Just moving around is fun in this game.
This game is ass
>beaner
opinion discarded
ASS
ASS
IMAGINE the foot and handjobs
It's not for homosexuals like you. You shouldn't have even installed it. Go do something else, video games are not for you. Play soccer or something.
I'll probably 100% it just because it's so fun to move around. I desperately wish we had some harder score attack modes or even just online trick lobbies to hang out in and play SKATE or some shit.
That would be a nice addition. I actually really enjoyed JSRFs multiplayer modes as jank as they were.
Just to clear things up, old man has no outfits right?
he does actually, the ui is just bugged and show 0/4, despite him having all four unlocked.
he has a red, green, blue and brown-ish color scheme
If JSR3 actually comes out, will it be better or worse than BRC?
if JSR3 comes out and its a live service game with a battle pass I will forgive BRC for the day 1 dlc
>Day 1 DLC
Wait wat
It a couple of characters from Lethal League that they added as DLC characters. There's no incorporation into the story so you aren't missing out on anything.
You are a cuckold for games if you excuse day 1 dlc perioud. Never accept less than what you are worth friend.
Sega is not SEGA anymore. They are just a publisher. The best case scenario, they do a Streets of Rage 4 with JSR but I can't imagine which dev could pull it off. I'm afraid Team Reptile is the closer thing.
>If JSR3 actually comes out, will it be better or worse than BRC?
People latched onto BRC precisely because they knew JSR3 was already confirmed shit
Wait is that actually announced?
It's all but announced. The Persona 3 remake was leaked in a 30 second internal trailer, and at the end of the video was Beat, Gum, and Combo dancing in fricking Nickelodeon 3d animation.
Looks kinda ass I might buy anyway
It really comes down to who is developing it and what goals if they have in mind. If it is a live service game then that shit is just going to go out and die.
If JSR3 comes out its going to have more in common with fortnite than the old extreme sports games.
>nuSega
I think it is more likely that it will be way worse than BRC than better. Could surprise us though, but with Sega how they are now I don't get it and I'm really hesitant with Sega doing JSR3 nowadays because of their NFT interest.
>NFT Grafitti
I'm out.
>NFT Grafitti
Frick you for putting this idea in my head. They're absolutely gonna do this, aren't they?
NFTs have crashed hard. What they will do is AI Art Grafitti.
NFT AI Art graffiti, you just know the Japanese business suits are scheming it up
Well that's... slightly better but still ass
Imma be honest, I don't like their designs here bros.
The city actually seems okay, looks more like JSR than Future, but Gum and Combo look terrible here. Beat looks ok.
It's really low quality so could be it looks a lot better in HD, but from that picture Gum and Combo look like western fanart to me and Beat looks like he's from Gorillaz, which is actually a bit neat I guess.
I think combo looks ok but yeah gum looks fricking terrible
Not gonna lie, thats a pretty good look for Gum.
it'll look no better than brc but run infinitely worse
i get literally like 200fps or more with my shitty old pc on ultra if i don't lock it
if some aaa company made this I guarantee I'd struggle to get 60
>Sega
only chance it has in being good is if Sega is completely hands off the project.
It's how Streets of
Rage 4 ended up so good.
I think that they can look at what brcf did right and use it + huge budget to make a superior game
in theory yeah. even the scope isn't that huge for modern Sega to achieve
I do not trust modern SEGA with a new Jet Set Radio
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is better than anything they could shit out and I mean that unironically for better or for worse.
I have absolutely no faith in Sega anymore. Our only hope is if they commission Team Reptile and give them a bigger budget since they've actually proven they know the secret sauce.
>they know the secret sauce.
For gameplay and that's about it. Everything else is notably worse than both JSR/F. I would actually be concerned if they gave it to Team Reptile since they played it way too safe with BRC and that might leak over to JSR.
>might
It absolutely would. They need more DMT in their systems or something.
>Ultra realistic characters
This is what everyone has feared. THIS is why old thing good, new thing bad. SOUL vs Soulless. Don't bother asking if it will be better, it fricking won't. Ask if it'll even be a good game at all.
Too broke to buy this at the moment but it looks cool. Maybe during a sale. Times are tough for this old Sega bro
Inb4 sell your plastic
So what's the Birthday Cake of BRC
Hair Dun Nails Dun, no contest
bro i love this song
anyone knows where to find this song?
this is my fav
Nevermind I was wrong its this
Yeah Birthday Cake is also good
I will now play your game
I can't un-see Pizza Tower taunts when listening to this song
It's a very, very specific vibe but this is the epitome of "song at a club that you aren't actively listening to because you are so drunk/high you are more focused on remaining alive while some crusty b***h totally cooked grinds on you but it doesn't matter anyways because it's so bass boosted you can't actually hear anything."
>damn this song fricking sucks
>20 minutes later
>GOT MY HAIR DUN, GOT MY NAILS DUN, GOT MY HAIR DUN
They get it, they really do get it.
It's actually capturing the JSR soul bros, we are so fricking back.
You have brain cancer. Having played this game to completion and letting all the songs play as they come on, I never want to hear it again.
But Birthday Cake was actually fun. This is just fricking awful.
Birthday Cake is fun once it grows on you. I remember my first few listens of birthday cake to be.. not fun until i started to UNDERSTAND.
Hair Dun Nails Dun is the exact same in that sense. I fricking love it now
I dread it to this day and wish I waited for the music mod to remove it.
This is the worst song, fricking hurst my ears. But birthday cake, I love that song, I actually love that band too.
A Beautiful Race of People
ASS
ASS
ASS
ASS
No bro that shit slaps
Agua
there's this song that's like "i wanna know your name" over and over again and that is by far the worst most annoying one in the game
That one and Hair Dun nearly made me refund it the first time I got to Brink Terminal.
Just about to start that section, been playing it handful of hours and trying to get as many spray spots as I can. Having a blast so far; it's so smooth and the movement and tricks are really satisfying.
Any mods yet for Bomb rush?
Someone in the last thread posted a webm of Midna graffiti so probably
a few skins and a reshade on gamebanana
We're all city baby!
What's the difference between movestyles?
I think its just visual but idk the bike feels different to me
What's wrong with condensed milk
it's perfect for this game
Low energy for a game about skating and vandalism.
You need some chill vibes too
I don't want to chill, I'm at Ganker
Not this many. That's the biggest problem with this OST. Too many slower tracks and not enough high energy funky music.
Sometimes you're just cruising around looking for tags, the game isn't high energy all the time
I mean, not every song in JSRF is high energy either. Aisle 10 is super chill.
HELLO ALLISON
I WANNA HOLD YOUR HAND
It works for the hideout
If milk is so good why would you need to condense it
So you get more milk per milk
The type of guy who adds milk powder to milk.
That's me. I do this. I them make bread out of it
>just tacking some random photo of furry OCs
>doesn't even attempt to look like graffiti
yeah, that's cringe
Can I just say that I appreciate Team Reptile's balls in keeping the super floaty jump from the OG games
I feel like you would immediately get recommendations to take that out but it feels right for this game
Holding down right trigger while jumping creates a short hop that maintain momentum. But from what I can tell, if an air trick doesn't actually finish you don't get the points for it. With the air boost trick you only hear the turntable scratch SFX when you complete the trick, and the short hop is too low for that unless you're like jumping off a building.
But yeah, for better and worse, the physics of JSR and Future are part of the games identity and I think veering too far away from that would make the game closer to something else.
I did notice that, which is nice. It fricked me up real bad at first because I was just holding the button down any time I wanted to keep a combo going and was confused about why my jump suddenly sucked
it's really stupid that the tutorial for this only appears right at the end of the game
It's actually not quite floaty enough for me, I love the games but that's one of the few things I noticed. JSR and JSRF have a more physics-based thing going on with the floatiness, where you could get momentum and speed to make it to places that look like you shouldn't be able to, similar to Sonic games and Adventure 1&2 with the spin dash. This game feels more like it's predictable how far I'll be able to manipulate the physics with it being fairly obvious how to get from one platform or rail to the next. It makes the platforming less frustrating and easier but I think something is lost that was present in the physics in JSR
GOT MY HAIR DONE
GOT MY NAILS DONE
RIGHT OUT RIGHT OUT RIGHT OUT OF YOUR MIND
Did we see kid Felix at any point in the storty?
nope
is there any more cut content?
Haven't found anything else yet
I'll take a closer look later
He's in a cutscene right at the end of chapter 1
In the next game, they need to focus on momentum and speed. Everything is so slow and floaty
Back to Melee with you
Going fast and building momentum is fun, gay. It’s why Spider-Man 2’s traversal is so fun
>Everything is so slow and floaty
That's how Jet Set Radio is, yes. It's not a particularly fast game.
use combos and trick boosts
how am I supposed to reach those walls?
also are where the frick are the toilets in mataan cuz I need to get the heat down
From where you stand it seems all you need to do is go forward a bit then turn left, should be a way somewhere in there
idk what you mean, there doesn't seem to be anything at all between the platform and the billboard.
also goddamn the LOD distance is absurdly low. why the frick is there no option to increase it
a bit further forward, I think there should be a rail on the left side if I remember correctly
there's nothing there!
Seems like construction company went bankrupt in your game and they removed the crane, try going in and out the area
Wait a sec you are probably not done with the story, go finish it and then come back there
i swear there is a power line, maybe it only spawns after you beat the game, or progress the Coil questline?
frick that could be the case.
Genuinely embarrassing they couldn't get this to run at 60 on the switch with how simple all the geometry is.
Go into the options and turn on "unleash the beast"
Really? I can run this on my decade old laptop with integrated graphics and it's not 60 but it's fine.
Its locked at 30 unless you turn on Unleash the Beast for some reason
maybe you should stop using that toy and get a deck.
play the game on pc you dumb mutt. too broke to afford the game? thats fine, it has no DRM so you can just pirate it!!!!!
Not gonna buy it until a sale, especially considering the dev's behavior.
Their behavior is so strange
>FEATURING A SOUNDTRACK BY HIDEKI NAGANUMA!!
>only has three tracks
>UH, DONT WORRY GUYS! GAME WONT HAVE DAY 1 DLC!
>Has Day 1 DLC
>and it's only on Steam
>YEAH, I'M REMOVING SOAP SHOES CUZ THEY DUMB!!!
>right when the game is going to come out: "but it's okay you can mod it in I guess. Modding tools? What's that???
It's just so weird. It's not like they were being pressured by some suits as they published the game themselves.
It's also on GOG but you're spot on. Looks like one of the devs, probably that homosexual YinYin, is here too and somebody made him mad:
>Quotes a post insulting the devs
You kinda moronic
???
That post is defending the devs, moron. It's somehow trying to argue that the devs not including an easy-to-add track selection tool to their game was a good decision.
Check the greentext dumbshit
The frick are you on about? I was agreeing with the person I quoted, and added that one of the devs, probably YinYin, is mad as shit right now in this thread.
Check the greentext in that post you think is from the dev. Are your really gonna make me lay this out?
>i-i chose s-some songs for you anon... you d-dont have to listen if you dont want.. you can just turn them off or swap them for your own
Here the moron defending the devs is arguing that adding the option for custom music isn't confident. Since nobody on Ganker defends anybody but themselves, it's easy to assume this is a mad dev defending his moronic decision to not add a very easy to implement custom music feature.
He's clearly mocking the dev you absolute autist.
Wrong, moron. Pay attention. The devs said the complete opposite of what this greentext is claiming: they they chose to be confident in the music they picked and decided not to add a custom music option. In other words they did NOT say "you can just turn them off or swap them for your own." They said "frick off and mod it in yourself if you don't like it."
Thing is, I don't think their behavior was confident, but rather smug and shitty.
Did the stuttering not clue you in? He's paraphrasing the dev and saying that shit does NOT inspire
>CONFIDENCE
like the next greentext. You might have autism.
Thing is the shit you're paraphrasing isn't what they said at all. If you're gonna insult the devs, just screencap their actual words. Does way more damage.
He's repeating the devs words with added stuttering are you really this goddamn stupid
It's not what the devs said it's what the poster crying about custom music thinks would be >CONFIDENCE from the dev.
God damn people are dumb around here.
It's like if you were going to go shoot your shot with a woman. Confidence to pick someone up wouldn't be
>hey I like you but all those other guys over there are probably more charming and handsome so pick them if you want
Honestly I can't even believe a discussion about a game's soundtrack or having a custom soundtrack option is this heated. It's really not a big fricking deal lmao
You're actually moronic
Don't samegay. It's unbecoming and makes you look mad.
Nah you're just moronic and more than one person can tell
Don't ever feel the need to misquote somebody who's already in the wrong.
Now what the frick are you talking about
Seriously, Sega is secondly only to Konami with mishandling IPs
>Now what the frick are you talking about
I decided to pretend you were insulting the devs in the first place for a second, but clearly you got confused since:
>game took long enough to make, you homosexuals are doing the work for free anyway so thanks
Fact is you were never insulting the devs.
It wasn't even my post
Do you stutter post you own words a lot when you want to back them up? Dumbfrick
Depending on the context, absolutely.
No you don't
Depending on context, yes I do.
>UH, DONT WORRY GUYS! GAME WONT HAVE DAY 1 DLC!
Some anon posted in a previous thread that what was actually said was 'no DLC plans for new story/areas'. I still think it's moronic. Agreed on all other points
What is even the point of selling DLC characters for this game? The characters don't even have stats like in JSR/F, they all go the same speed and have the same 3 "tricks". Inb4
>They have unique animations for those 3 tricks!
Yeah ok. Still not paying more for skins bro.
The soundtrack was never explicitly entirely by Naganuma, just featuring him
I Keep getting this error and my pc rashes
what do i do
HELP ME
Step #1, buy the game.
Step #2, Patch it.
Step #3, ???
Step #4, Profit
creepy place
Anyone have a map/ guide of how to traverse this place? I think there's like one tag that I need to get in there but it was inaccessible from where I was.
At the pyramid, super cool area giving me lots of mgs 2 vibes since it feels like big shell. I want big jacket lady she reminds me of fortune. Ghost in the shell and MGS aesthetics are all over this game.
>Villain is in a Tachikoma that is constantly grooving
VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION:
Is Polo playable?
Can you free roam the game like past levels after beating it
The game is always free roam, it never restricts your travel to previous areas
Hell you can go most places before you're supposed to, even
Ok thanks
Am I the only one who thinks the cop lady is kinda hot
Most of the girls in this game have really good designs.
Gotta love a game with a great PLOT
...except for Vinyl
Vinyl would be fine if she had more natural hair colors, her Summer and Winter 'fits are pretty good.
Don't agree, Vynil's cool
literal shit taste, vinyls design is great
Oh, I know, I just ain’t seen Irene get much love. But I’ve been staying out of the threads till i completed the game.
Custom Tags soon right? I want my favorite from JSR back.
>soon
NOW
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3022185440
I'm glad there's a way but this shit ain't acceptable in a 40 dollar game. They didn't even have an in-game graffiti customization/installation option? Bad enough they don't allow custom music since half the OST is a snoozefest.
If anyone has the gamebanana reshade mod can they send screenshots I think it’s the most perfect aesthetic I’ve ever seen
What happened to this guy?
>Could have had this color scheme as a Devil Theory fit
We were fricking ROBBED.
design was mauled to death for current devil theory, i miss that tall ass hat and clean mask, would 100% mod it in when modeling is figured out
gonna give that crew some proper fits in the meantime, just gotta figure out what autumn/winter are gonna be
Playing this game makes me feel alive again
For such short, niche games, the JSR games were fundamental to my taste in music and fashion, and are a big part of why I started skating. This game feels like coming home.
Beat the story, want to try getting the rest of the characters
Solace is the best character by the way
I ended up loving this dude way more than I expected
>me when the Japanese Hyperpop trap comes on
Condensed Milk is actually really good for when you are just chilling at your hideout practicing the movement.
>There are too many women in this place
What did he mean by this
I hope this studio will create one more game with this type of gameplay before moving on.
Pretty sure they explicitly said they're going to make more
I dunno I kinda don't think they could stick the landing. This game is damn near perfect imo I feel like a followup would just frick it up
I hope their next game is a Crazy Taxi successor. There entire schtick is emulating the look and feel of early 2000s Sega.
Honestly when the taxi guy was introduced I thought he and the car were some kind of recall back to Crazy Taxi. Could be a fun game to make a spiritual successor to.
>Team Reptile Space Channel Five successor.
YES
EAZY
for me, it's pic related
I'm trans btw
Source on the graffiti?
it's in the base game
Oh frick that rules
It's basically what I wanted JSR2 to be like all this time so I'm not rushing it and I'm not reading those threads because I don't want any spoilers.
I just hope the game isn't too repetitive, even if so far I wouldn't mind doing the same fun tricks challenge over and over. Also hope the level design gets crazier soon
I've only played a few hours, but really enjoying it. They really captured what it felt like to play the originals. I hope the maps get more interesting, though.
I thought that for about 5 hours, realized shit was off, downloaded cxbx and have been enjoying myself ever since.
somebody should slide me the xbox filter mod
it's on gamebanana
>first mod posted is troon shit
They literally can't help themselves.
Just shit all over everything, why don't you all?
I wonder if the team working on the next JSR are happy about BRCF sucking up all the attention or if they see it as free advertising for their game.
Just what is Bel wearing? Some sort of jumpsuit?
It's out.
https://thunderstore.io/c/bomb-rush-cyberfunk/p/Glomzubuk/TrackRemix/
Thank fricking God. I can replace the entire fricking soundtrack.
The soundtrack is ready bros
You should've done this yourselves you fricking swiss homosexuals.
Aren't they Dutch
Who gives a shit?
>turn off phone music
>play own music in background
It was out pre-release, you absolute Black person.
>getitng mad that somebody released what should've been a basic feature a few days after release because these german gays wouldn't do it themselves, their only explanation being some bullshit about "confidence in the product" or some gay insecure shit
Protip, devs, since I know you're here. You would've shown confidence in your selection by just letting people put their own tracks in the fricking game. Would've shown that you were bold enough for your music to speak for itself and stand out in a player-imposed crowd.
game took long enough to make, you homosexuals are doing the work for free anyway so thanks
>i-i chose s-some songs for you anon... you d-dont have to listen if you dont want.. you can just turn them off or swap them for your own
>CONFIDENCE
>game took long enough to make
What's 30 minutes more to make a complete game, homosexual? It's not the customer's job to do your jobs for you.
Its really funny when a game is this good and the shitposters have to cling on to dumb non issues like this to find something to b***h about
It's not that good. You made a good effort, but it just wasn't quite enough. If only you listened to a few requests back in 2020 you'd have one less thing for people to b***h about.
Keep trying shitpost anon its really funny
Go to bed, YinYin. Everybody thinks you're a homosexual, including the fans of the game. You are by far Team Reptile's weakest link and I hope to God you aren't an actual developer and just some janny they didn't actually pay money to.
Take meds
Make a better game.
It is very good isn't it
It's satisfying to get some good vidya for a change
The dev is correct, I actually did that shit on Unity and it was a pain in the ass. Had to use some random ass dll file that just fricking works, I think I got lucky though, took me only a week.
They're a dev team who were asked to implement a basic feature in their game three years ago that just got modded in by one guy in two days. There's just no excuse since they were planning to make money on the game.
Um actually, you posted the image where he made the excuse that works very well. He is correct in that people will find a way, these are the kind of things where people who already know how to do it do it fast, and if you don't know how, it takes time away from actually important features.
The excuse boils down to "We don't have to do this because the modders will do it for us."
That's a bad fricking thing to see in a professional dev team. That's Todd Howard hackery shit that you never want to see this early on.
Or alternatively you can ask someone who knows how to do it to do it for your $40 game instead of being lazy as frick.
Or not, it's not really an important feature and it was never promised.
See above. Sometimes you just gotta slap your shit together or you will be there forever.
>See above.
I saw above. Above doesn't fly in this case. This feature was far too simple not to implement, especially when they learned early in development that people wanted it.
And considering this mid-tier soundtrack you bet your ass it was important.
They could've gotten somebody who knew how to do it and add them to the team then. Stick his name in the credits. If they're clever enough they wouldn't even need to pay them.
>They could've gotten somebody who knew how to do it and add them to the team then
Yeah but that takes time away from making the game, additional management and shit.
The soundtrack is fricking good, but I don't understand why you are so mad, the game now has that feature because somebody modded it in? As predicted?
Because I don't like a dev team that's this comfortable with other people doing their jobs. It's a bad sign and tells me this team is gonna flounder hard in the long run.
I'm not angry. I'm disappointed. These guys need to step it up.
>It's a bad sign and tells me this team is gonna flounder hard in the long run.
This is their 4th game.
Then they should definitely know better and I have even less respect for them.
im sure they feel very bad about themselves now
meanwhile literally nobody gives as much of a shit about this as you
Oh they will. Just give it time at this point. They don't have what it takes to go pro as devs.
yeah im sure theyll be on their deathbeds like
>man we should have put a custom soundtrack feature that 11 people would use in our game
The moment a dev starts tasting the sweet nectar of mods adding features for free is the moment that their follow ups are gonna have fewer and fewer features down the line. Relying on modders is a bad frickin mistake no matter who it is.
What a weird fricking post.
But here is the thing, it wasn't their job, they never took that job. They didn't need to do it just because you asked.
gay and moronic comment
>Then you can drop them in the zone you want to see them in, or in the Global folder to have them everywhere.
Black folk will never understand that this is exactly why I wasn't gonna ghetto-mod that shit with winamp.
Finally, no more slow chilledcow homosexualry.
Now to replace the ass track with something more appropriate:
https://vocaroo.com/19jzyIPCqtFG
breddy gud
>Then you can drop them in the zone you want to see them in, or in the Global folder to have them everywhere.
So wait, how would I know how to name the zone folders?
>dev was 100% right about people modding in easy custom grafitti and tracks while they got to focus on other shit
Kind of impressed.
That doesn't make the devs look good. They could've taken the couple of days do do it themselves back in 2020.
>being honest doesn't look good
too true
>being honest
Being lazy. They knew what to do, how to do it, knew that people wanted it, made a lame as shit excuse why they didn't do it, and then said "leave it to the modders."
Not a good look for a start up dev. They should've taken the couple of days, if that, to just implement it and secure more good will with their base.
It's bad enough they didn't implement custom graffiti. That's fricking insanely stupid by itself.
it's unity, of course it would be easy to mod
I'm normally pretty good at modding, but I can't figure this out.
You guys have this?
Yep.
Figured it out. I put my plugins in the root directory's plugins folder. Put it in the BepInEx plugins folder.
>default skin
anon where's your Gum skin?
So I make a Songs folder here and place the tracks?
Nope. Load the game and a ModdingFolder should be made in the root directory. You can then put tracks in areas you want to hear them in, or the Global folder for tracks you'd listen to anywhere.
I'd also suggest this playlist for those seamless transitions between tracks.
Now we're in business.
Got it to work
Yeah
Shit isn't working for me either. Followed all the instructions, downloaded all the stuff they depended on, renamed the tracks, stuck it in the folders it told me to, absolutely no change.
GOD I FRICKING HAT EPYRIMAID ISLAND WORST AREA IN THE FRICKING GAME FOR FRICKS SAKE WHERE THE FRICK DO I GO RARAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Step 1: Get to the pipe
Step 2: Do not change route in the pipe
Upstairs doesn't unlock until you challenge all the dudes
Would Gum get jealous over Bel's tit size if they ever met?
Absolutely
Nope, but she'd probably call Bel banana-breasts anyway.
Based and correct.
is she boofing spray?
I feel like she'd be hyped about it. Like she'd meet Bel and immediately go "Holy SHIT girl those are some FAT FRICKING breasts" but in like a supportive way
BEST GIRL
BEST SONG
Struggling to find the last outfits and songs, but im enjoying the ride
It's a lot shorter than i expected and that bummed me out, considering the price.
>They didn't include an equivalent to the best mix in Jet Set Radio.
>only good one is improvise
It's for the best.
Any suggestion?
hmm, just finished reading the thread and it sounds like the game didn't do very well huh? maybe next time it won't be as 'shitted' and 'flopped' as you are all saying
So are Rise and Shine sisters?
>Director said in an interview that he doesn't want people who play the game to get excited for the next game but to get excited about dance and skating
Based but I'm sorry man I am 35 years old and my knees are fricked from doing that shit in the 2000s
How do i meet the flesh heads in millenium square? I cant get any damn elevation.
There are rails on the cieling above the walkway handrail. Easy to miss.
gotcha, thank you
The areas are MUCH too open/empty/spacious. I want smaller denser areas with well-designed routes. The assets and visuals look nice but moving throughout the environment isn't as satisfying as JSRF.

>missing one skateboard
back into the game I go
Two things that I am kinda bummed about. Theres no DJ Professor K style greek chorus. And theres no Onishima equivalent.
you can really feel the lack of Professor K
It's supposed to be the cop chick but like most of the characters she isn't wacky enough to fill the void. Hayashi was great because he was a crazy-ass cop who wasn't anything like Onishima but still entertaining.
HOW DO I GET RID OF THESE NASTY ROACHES?
I definitely miss K, but I also feel like anything they put in would feel like a poor imitation
>Gum is an exhibitionist.
are there any comprehensive guides yet?
i'm missing a skin of each play style

This game has been on idle with goth bel pop locking for 6 hours wtf are you doing
I REALLY FRICKING HATE THE POLICE IN THIS GAME
1. leave the area
2. find a shitter
3. die
all reset heat
also advocate trying to tag as much stuff in an area before starting the main quest line since thats when cops start showing up
>leave the area
it does not, at least not every time.

I can't say thin unhinged shit anywhere else so you all have to deal with this
Bel isn't actually fat but she has "hot fat girl" energy. Sometimes the shading on her cheeks makes her face look fat.
Like I'm generally into sticcs but she has the vibes of a very specific kind of chubby girl who has confidence in her personality and style (and huge breasts) thay I actually dig. Like not the kind who's bawdting it up and you can tell they're doing it for attention but a kind with a calm, collected confidence
where the frick are the skatedeck names in the files
i'm trying to modify them
wish there was an easier way to fast travel out of the back half of mataan
like after beating the game should be able to menu fast travel or some shite
They could easily add a postboy shortcut here.

I was looking at the original announcement. where was this homie in the game?
Im guessing it was an old devil theory design that was scrapped
old devil theory
speaking of which, anyone know how to get transparency to work? I wanna get rid of those stupid fricking shrek ears
originally we raced them in the mall
also we originally met rise in maatan
That's Vinyl. Or am I missing something
Vinyl sorry. I got them mixed up
boost meter is different too, and I'm guessing top right numbers are supposed to be rep?
Did they take crew races out of the game? Why? That should have been in there wtf.
I really, really don't understand why they got rid of the original UI. It looks way better than the current one.
>need like 1 more tag to 100% mataan

k cool, time to recruit some post-game characters and check out the backrooms
what am i meant to do vs dj b***h homie on pyramid island? i come close, he runs like a homosexual. shit is fricking annoying
I ate shit against him a bunch but it was easy when I figured it out
A. Don't approach straight on
B. Boost trick his ass
apparently you're supposed to kick either his records back at him or just random objects at him. like what the frick? nothing said about this mechanic earlier in the game, and now it's a requirement for a boss fight. moronic homosexualed ass developers
ITS FRICKING LAME
Tripling down on the moronic combat that ruined the flow of JSR was an almond activating choice. As if people would be mad that they removed the worst part of those games and replaced it with fun shit like... Set pieces that were connected by rail and shit to other fun to do shit. Crazy frickin idea I know.
do air tricks when he’s throwing discs at you, they reflect back and stun him so you can get his ass
took me like 10-15 mins of chasing before I figured it out and almost took him out by accident lmao
>shitpost from perspective of dev

>devs expecting me to pay twice the standard indie game fare when they can't even add graffiti or music installation to a game about music and graffiti
No way gay. You guys knew what to do.
I finaly found rise winter outfit in the garbage where it belong but i still don't have a clue to get oldhead.
I tagged everything double checked hidden zones but to no avail. I need to finish pyramid, mall and mataan combo challenges, get the last skate, 2 skateboards and 2 bikes and i'm done.
i dont even have all the costumes, haven't unlocked any of the post-game characters but i just got this guy.
it might just be tag all zones + unlock all non-post-game characters?
It's just tag all zones, but some of the tag spots require progress towards characters.
I got everyone except futurism girl and devil bro

Kino
How many indie games that are "insert dead retro franchise but with the serial numbers filed off here" have to bomb before people realize those original retro franchises died for a reason?
JSR died because Sega is moronic, not because there wasn't a fanbase. They're the OGs of fricking up their own IP due to some moronic Japanese guy's moronic financial outlooks.
Begone doomposter
I don't play Black person games
Good so you should throw your Playstation in the trash then since it's a Black person console
Just beat the game a few minutes ago. I liked it and still plan on putting in a few more hours. The soundtrack was solid (still could've used some rock/punk), the gameplay was fun and engaging but could've used grindable stairs and poles that could be swing off of, the tricks were pretty cool but the game could've used way more as well as a trick selector, finally, the story was mediocre. I'd give it an 8.5/10
Oh, and the final area (Mantann) pissed me off. I gave the devs the benefit of the doubt and thought that grindable ledges and benches had simply slipped their minds. Lo and behold, I find grindable ledges and benches in the last fricking area of the game. Is there a reason why they didn't put way more in the game? They certainly would've made some of those barren areas have more flow.
yea final boss is an abomination of 3d platforming
game really ends on a sour note
I bought the GOG version, what in the shit?
What the frick even is that? b***h, it's GOG, just double click the fricking exe.
He's trying to use a mod but it seems that the mod requires Steam. Weird.
Install your mods manually. Don't rely on mod managers. Most of them try to virtue signal by "stopping piracy" which often stops legit copies too.
autumn it is
All of these fricking rock, but the orange + white works too well for me to change up. Autumn's blonde and yellow is great though too.
Definitley one of the coolest characters of the cast too I think. The weird propulsion disk that looks like it's running of Dyson tech is neat, the glasses are vintange, and his VA is hamming it up pretty hard ,
Is there a way to remove the cuffs from your character? I saw you can break the chains easily but after finishing that map area I spent like 20 mins of the game with huge cuffs on the arms and neck without any way to take them off

This game is pretty simple to texture mod. It'll happen eventually, or you could give it a crack yourself.
OVERLOOOOOAD
TOO MUCH INFORMATION I CAN'T HANDLE IT
Sounds like jsrf without the soul. Threads are pretty hollow
dropped it at the pyramid when I realized that it was never going to get more challenging/interesting than the tutorial.
Considering all the stuff mentioned in-game about Cyberheads and the way body grafting/memory retention works for them, I'm frankly surprised we didn't get more cyberhead characters to play as outside of Red technically and DOT EXE, and that they kinda just lose relevance later on after the police sniper gets knocked the frick out
Someone should combine this game with Wipeout. I don't know how, but they should.
I SAW A VIDEO OF SOMEONE PLAYING AS SWITCH FROM LETHAL LEAGUE. PLEASE TELL ME THEY ACTUALLY PUT LETHAL LEAGUE CHARACTERS IN AND IT WASN'T JUST A MOD.
5 bucks
Worth it. It even has his sfx from Lethal league. I'm a console only player so this wait is gonna be hell now.
I love Switch so much.
its $5 not a mod
There's only 2 lethal league characters, and they are day 1 DLC.
I like the regular characters just as much.

Okay anons
I have these tracks currently

Am i missing anything?
I know i still have to get reds winter fit and grab two inlines and two skates
Thats numbers 2/3 and 4/5 on the select screen respectively
Im almost done 100% this, help an anon out pls
so, I'm not trying to be a hater, cause I'm very happy with the very fact that such thing has come to fruition and that people received it quite warmly, however, you can feel the incredible quality gap between what sega has spit out with the original jsr and its sequel - from the game's design to gameplay. cyberfunk is just too easy, a little too bland in design, and the music, although you can hear that it was made by a collective of talented people, as a collection, it consists of mostly very average tracks. i hope that the success of this game will spawn a better sequel, inspire other young (and old, why not) cats to create spiritual sequels to jsrf, or other projects with such sovlfvl aspirations. in the end, I pay my respects.
I agree with you 100%. This game seems alright at first glance but you're right on all counts.
>the incredible quality gap between what sega has spit out with the original jsr and its sequel
what's sad is it is soooooo fricking close but bogged down my a litany of amateurish mistakes in things like general QOL and map design. the foundation is excellent and the aesthetics, barring some character designs, are absolutely perfect. it just needs more polish and talented hands (especially in the writing if it's going to be such a heavier focus, what the absolute frick)
Basically my thoughts, I still like BRC and I bought but a sequel could be a lot better if they ironed out all the flaws, and not be afraid to make a hard game
>you can feel the incredible quality gap between what sega has spit out with the original jsr and its sequel
JSR is janky as absolute frick, and while Future's level design is god-tier, it's core gameplay and graffiti elements are absolutely brain dead. BRC's gameplay is definitely a big step up from Future, it's map design just isn't as crazy, which is only a really big deal when there aren't any leaderboards or challenges at all. I think people are really quick to forgive the flaws and annoyances of the older games just because it's been nearly two decades since they came out.
There's definitely a gap in quality, but it feels entirely monetary. Like yeah, the two games backed by SEGA feel like they have a higher production value because they do.
>BRC's gameplay is definitely a big step up from Future
Too bad this does nothing but make completing game faster. There's no multiplayer, no time attacks, no difficulty in the crew challenges, so on and so forth. The sole aspect they have over JSR/F and they squander it since there's frick all to do once you've 100%'d the game.
it's a very cool mix of thps:u and jsrf, and I don't think anyone will deny that, but in my opinion , when it comes to gameplay, it's unfortunately too bland. the game's first building block, which definitely makes the title into something fresh, draws heavily from thps/thps:u, but the problem is that the things that it draws from are the core foundations of mechanics, where the complexity, the depth of thps just isn't there: there are no interesting tricks, combinations, chains that you can come up with, and therefore you can't naturally or (at all) give yourself any sorta challenge if you'd like to, unlike in thps, where this is just a natural consequence of how the game flows and what it lets you to do.
I tried to play the game a bit like crazy cab and thps, i.e. I tried to come up with my own exploits of mechanics, style of play, and throughout all of this, keep up with the intended flow the game would you like to play you with (which is somehow fast, i guess?) but over time this approach became a bit tedious, as again, the tools this game gives you are very barebones and it doesn't really react to your attempts of getting better - it always fells very tutorial, practice mode like.
as for design, of course, I agree, because I understand the dynamics of how these things are produced, but in the end, objectively, the product comes out and its development process closes, and we as consumers are left with something closed and sealed, and there's no way around that - one way or the other. that's why i hope for this one to make enough money so that it'll be able to create an environment for a richer sequel.
i rly wish them the best, lol.
>cyberfunk is just too easy, a little too bland in design
That's not entirely a bad thing.
That makes it easy to replay. Plus there's already mods, and the gameplay is extremely fricking fluid.
Sure, $40 is a lot, but I enjoyed the frick out of it. I'm gonna be replaying this a couple times a year at least. It's just fricking awesome.
>That's not entirely a bad thing.
>That makes it easy to replay.
Holy shit what the frick? Of course it's a bad thing. A harder game that's exceptionally good is even easier to replay.
JSR is about gameplay that you can master, not difficulty.
I mastered BRC in the course of about an hour. Clearly this isn't about mastery either. It's just a casual rail sliding sim at this point. Hidden object games are more challenging than this.
No, I mean you come back every few years and replay. JSR and JSRF age like wine because of that, even if your first playthrough is clunky as frick.
People won't even know this game exists in a few years.
It will be talked in every single JSR thread forever, anon.
Spamming isn't talking. JSR threads will go back to barely existing and BRCgays will be told to frick off.
It'll go down in history as a cheap ripoff that debuted overpriced.
Why do mad? We all pirated it anyway, I loved it.
>He says, posting in a thread about a game that doesn't exist
I hate it just like the original game
The very very first tutorial with the chick

I really
Don't

It
What do I press when?
Boost while grindjng by hitting the boost button
Wallrides only apply on specific surfaces
But the very first tutorial is the wall ride
What's the boost button
Playing with Xbox controller
you can look at and change all the keyboard and controller bindings in the fricking start menu, what kind of zoomer shit is asking this question?
It amazes me that people complain that others are saying $40 is too much. JSR is $8, JSRF was free for the majority of people that played it. This game is like 15 hours to 100% and while it's a great game, half of that time is just doing collectathon cleanup. There's also a lot of easy tweaks that the devs could have done to improve the game but there's no word about that, the most obvious being able to do a cypher in the hideout. Yeah, it's a niche that's finally been filled and while the gameplay is fantastic, it does literally everything else worse than the games it's aping. There's also not much purpose in a skill ceiling since none of the content is challenging in the slightest, even the postgame. Will I be mad if this genre of game doesn't get another entry? Probably not at this point, so I feel no remorse pirating it.
>JSRF was free for the majority of people that played it
Wut
In North America, the original Xbox at release came with a disc that had JSRF and a GT racing game.
Oh, that bundle. Lucky bastards then. I had a hard time to find a freaking copy of Future back in the day
there was a version of the xbox that came packaged with some forza game and JSRF
>JSR is $8, JSRF was free for the majority of people that played it.
I don't think the game should have been more that $25-$30, but by that logic no spiritual succesor is ever going to match up to free. I even got JSR for like $2 in a SEGA bundle.
Not everyone got JSRF for free, it's just a significant portion of the playerbase. $40 is a pretty huge ask for what it is. $25-30 would have been much more reasonable.
>$40 is too much.
$40 is too much.
spoop
HOW DO I FRICK THEM
here's your $40 dlc, bro
They said they wouldn't be doing any content DLC so we'll see if that holds true or if they're going to make a sequel. The groundwork for BRC is sorta shaky since the gameplay is superb but the story is too serious for its own good and despite having walking police tanks, Faux being a serpent mecha, people having their heads replaced with robot heads, they still feel the need to make it grounded and that ruins the level design as a result.
Do I give a frick if people would want to live in those areas? No. Do I care if it's cool to skate in? Yes. That's all that matters.
yea i probably won't live to see the result of either
oh well, see you all next flavor of the month
Adding to this, I like to imagine the idea of people living in laughably impractical skating rinks disguised as town prefectures. It's fun.
the postgame score challenges should've been the main missions
Reached Futurism. How much is left?
Game is pretty cool but wow the bosses such just like in JSRF.
mattaan is the final area
Nice
Yeah I figured. I was holding off on getting more characters since I figured the post-game would be a bit barren.
You're at the final gang. Final boss also adds one more zone to Mataan that's pretty nice. All that's really left for post game is collecting everything, hitting every tag, and recruiting rivals sadly.
Mataan/Futurism is the last area and crew battle in the game before the final boss which is right after you beat them. Then it's post-game shit.
They took a lot from Future, be the style and part of certain areas are kinda of copy paste. Even the hideout looks similar
The bosses, heck with them. I didnt liked them much in Future either
Ok homosexuals I know the blue haired bel costume color is somewhere, where the frick is it?
where is the second gas wall in mataan?
Faux may have been a b***h-ass piss baby but damn if he hasn't got better fashion sense than Felix.
Felix looks a lot better with the August palette, or whichever is the green and yellow one. But I agree he looks goofy as shit, especially with the beanie. Shame you can't swap the mask back on.
>discord troony modding drama already
the game just came out jesus
As an old Sega bro it really seems like there's more Dreamcast and jsr fans today than 20 years ago. I don't want to gatekeep. I wish Sega still made consoles and great games but it's an observation.
You shouldn't be using music replacement mods on your first play through anyways, even if you don't feel strongly about the track selection, it is still part of the intended experience.
They should've picked better songs then. I ain't slogging through this relax and study shit.
ASS
ASS
ASS
ASS
b***h IS MAD
Why would I be mad? I'm in the process of replacing this awful shit with good music right now for my first playthrough. Nothing wrong with that.
If this makes the devs upset I don't give a shit.
Post your list of music
Why?
Because I want to know what you're listening to
Well thanks bro. Glad you're interested.
Not him but my own soundtrack will include tracks by joywave and Robert delong. I actually used the og custom soundtracks for jsrf 20 years ago after hearing birthday cake 100 times. Such a sweet feature
I think the OST is fricking great.
I just hate the nails song.
Millenium Mall is trivial when you unlock the elevator that takes you to the 3rd floor.
2nd half of the game is way worse than the first half
its more like first third and last third are ass
i loved versum hill, millenium square, and brink terminal. everything after wasn't as fun to me. was probably the addition of the police. mataan was fun too in parts
I really didn't find any of the levels bad or anything, but I definitely thought Pyramid Mall was the coolest level in the game, and I think Mataan's final zone brings it up a notch. Brink Terminal is kino though. I know people riff on it for just being Shibuya but I think they really only have the bus station in common. The secret spot is also really cool.
And yeah the police go fricking hard in this game. I know they want you to juke from one bathroom to another but they spawn in so fricking fast.
And the mobile tanks just keep coming. I thought it'd be one and done which make it fun to kill one and go about your business but know, it's literally non-stop assault.
>Brink Terminal is kino though.
Oh frick don't tell me it's good. This shouldn't be anywhere close to the good one.
I had a lot of trouble doing Eclipse's 5 million point challenge so learning the ins and outs of it left a good final impression on me. Make of that what you will. But I also think the pier and sewer section add a lot of personality to the zone too so.
Oh God this is where all the personality got dumped? This is all it's got?
yeah the games kinda disappointing now that i've finished it. i was holding out for something and that something just never happened
>so learning the ins and outs
You mean,
>hold manual anytime you're not on a rail or wallriding
>lean into every rail angle
>spam boost tricks
It's amazing that people had difficulty with Eclipse's when the area they start you on has like x20 multiplier right there and then you go down to the bus terminal and have another dozen rails to lean into for multipliers.
>Pyramid Mall
the pyramid on the water or millenium mall?
Oh I mean the Pyramid Island yeah.
>and the bridge area is needlessly long.
Yeah, that spot sticks out like a sore thumb. I don't have a problem with the game's general design philosophy, but the bridge grind there and there third floor bridge of the Mall both feel really fricking long with nothing hanging nearby to style on.
And I didn't even think about the the transition killing your combo, that does suck cause it just ends up being two smaller, less interesting maps unless you start from the top. As far as I'm aware there's no other way to access the orange pipe.
it has fun stuff on the higher altitudes like the billboards but the actual pathways are empty as frick
also the righthand side would really benefit from having a connection across the abyss
Brink Terminal is basically just Shibuya Terminal but expanded but tbh that's not exactly a bad thing
>Pyramid Island and Mataan worse than Versum Hills and Millenium Mall
Millennium Mall is by far the worst level I've played yet. Just beat that level.
nta but I'm really conflicted about Mataan. it has amazing segments but is plagued by some really shitty transitions and the bridge area is needlessly long.
Pyramid Island would be perfect if you could maintain combo through the slide hole transition
Eh. Pyramid Island and Mataan are far better zones then what came before. Mataan was honestly great all around for me between the mix tape for that level and the level itself.
Mataan is fricking baller, millennium square is the only map I would say is objectively worse than the others. Its got like one fun line and then a bunch of boring open space. Not even a cool hidden area like Versum hills snake room.
Gotta stay in touch with my roots, know what I'm saying?
Is there some way I'm missing to keep the game running in the background on PC? Clicking on a second monitor or tabbing out causes it to freeze until I tab back in.
personally i really like the new soundtrack
i rode the wheels off of jsr/f's soundtracks already so some new music in the same tone is more than welcome
homies be like yo wheres that ROB ZOMBIE in my cyberFUNK game??????
homies be like Why isn't this game called Bomb Rush CyberBeatsToRelaxStudyTo???????
yea? b***h? put rob zombie in it you frickin b***h
I probably should have played the original JSR before this and JSRF because I can already tell it's going to be impossible to accept the jank.
JSRF isn't too jank but JSR is definitely got that jank aspect to the controls and camera
I'VE GOT TO SAY MAN I FEEL LIKE MICHAEL JACKSON
Playlist recommendation:
Is there anything in the OOB area in Versum Hill aside from the tomb? Why can't Felix take the fricking mask back? It looks better than his actual face.
>Is there anything in the OOB area in Versum Hill aside from the tomb?
no
it's kinda cool to look around though, makes me wish the other levels had stuff like that
It's time for us as a society to accept that the original Jet Set Radio has superior aesthetics and a far better OST than Future and that Future is an ugly gray game with like 4 good songs with downgrades for every single character design
>ugly gray game
>4 good songs
Frick off with this dumb gay shit, moron. Nobody gives a shit about you jerking off to e-girl versions of grown women.
Future is better. Ganker usually argues that jsr is better because they never played future. They are different games though.
They're both good games
JSR is more challenging and all around more satisfying to play but lacks content and feels more like a proof of concept than a full game
JSRF has more content and feels more like a full game but is so easy most of the time that it's less engaging as a gameplay experience
Aesthetically they're both great in their own ways
>but is so easy most of the time that it's less engaging as a gameplay experience
So what does that make BRC since there's literally 0 difficulty whatsoever
>more satisfying to play
I disagree there. Difficulty doesn't make a game more satisfying. It's not even a difficult game either.
Always liked the cell shading, the style and ost of og more. But Future's gameplay and its flow, and the level design were better.
And i am not saying the arcade gameplay of JSR is bad, it is good. But its crazy how fast Future is and when you get good it feels amazing going around the areas nonstop doing tricks
the auto-save problem deleted hours of playthrough, I'm not sure when I'm gonna pick it up again.
Bel bros...?
Incredibly fricking based. POV version when?
But seriously, good work if you're the creator from a few threads ago. Shit looks great.
thank you, i am 🙂 took me long enough to finish it, maybe too long theres not a lot of posts about bel anymore
the anim uses perspective tricks so a pov would take a bit
Best of luck either way, I hope you find the time/inspiration to do more with the game's girls.
10/10
Higher effort than the game itself. Well done.
The price put me off. $30 OK but $40 with $10 dlc? I bought lethal league just to support them even though it's not a game I'd normally play. The devs seem like gays too
Futurism...
Why is there no gyaru color for Futurism?
Wish we got to see more inter-gang tussles tbh...maybe even do casual rematch fights with various characters and gangs for fun.
does the melee combat ever not suck
I love this game when its not physically fighting enemies
I'm convinced that people who like the OST for BRC never played either JSR or JSRF
Okay.
False and moronic.
Finally got the JSR and JSRF full-transition gamrip medleys installed.
Now I can finally play this game.
What about Sonic Rush ost? Those were pretty much the JSR that never happened
It's those smooth transitions I was after but I do like this, good taste.
>Back 2 Back
Based taste, that song is fricking superb.
Imagine seething this hard over a fun game because its not like the same games over 20 years ago
It's a good game, it's just not a $40 good game.
Even if it was $20 with a %10 discount on GMG you gays would still think its expensive, don't fricking think I haven't seen Ganker b***h about low prices like its a bad thing
$20 would be a steal, I'd get it for that much. Instead I pirated it.
If it was 20 dollars I would have bought it the second it released.
I don't think they would have. If this was 20 bucks that would've been considered reasonable.
Hell, a new boomershooter with over 30 enemy types and decent gameplay came out for 5.
what game?
It's a couple months old.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2443360/Zortch/
You made that, didn't you.
No.
And Ganker b***hes about games like Hedon or Selaco being "paid mods" because they're made in gzdoom too. Game should have been $30 at the most but it was always going to be unfairly compared to two games that most people paid next to nothing for.
I don't b***h about Hedon being a paid mod because it's under 40 dollars.
I'd never buy a GZdoom game for more than 30 tops.
Same with unity games.
>team makes a game with the strict goal of it being a 1:1 ripoff of the same games over 20 years ago
>doesn't achieve this goal
>charges 40 dollars anyway
I'd have paid 30, provided their easter egg bullshit characters were unlockable and free, but with that pricetag I'm paying 0.
Maybe my hundreds of hours in Titanfall spoiled me, maybe my experience with Pro Skater and JSR ruined the difficulty curve, but the movement system feels somewhat bland rather quickly. I don't know why that is. I think I just want to go faster and have a tighter degree of control over my character's position at any given time.
Honestly, I think I'd like the game more if I could switch between what movestyle I was using (board, skates, bike) in one combo and then make them more statistically distinct instead of just being mildly different reskins. The game is generally good, but the extremely limited number of tricks (3 normals + 1 boost) per state (manual, airborne, grinding) just makes things repetitive. When I've got more room to switch between my board and freerunning, I actually kind of enjoy it, switching back and forth and mixing in tricks. Booster pads and long wallslide segments are best for this.
>the movestyle has barely any differences
>the characters have literally 0 differences
What a moronic choice. Half of the cast isn't worth unlocking because they look ugly as sin.
I like Red's enthusiasm as he boards, the way he's always popping off in my combo makes him very fun to me.
Bel's cute voice is also very enjoyable. The way she squeals is just adorable.
I mean gameplay, not visuals/audio.
oh I agree with you otherwise, that's just the only reason to use other characters, really.
I bet hideki is the reason the gaem is 40 bucks, even if it's like 3 tracks.
I can't imagine that licensing next to me was cheap
How do I get these tags?

Part of unlocking Mesh, you'll find 'em.
