What was he thinking about in that moment?

Fallout 4 should've been the moment he realized that his patchwork design philosophy when one designer is creates all the content including quests for an area and they are just stitched together isn't up to par anymore.

If they had starfield would have been amazing since F76 is one of the best bethesda and fallout games.

        >make F76 which has the best map and exploring in the entire series
        >then proceeds to make a game with the worst maps and exploring in any of their games

For best RPG, which it lost. It wasn't nominated for GOTY

award categories are so pointless, why would the GOTY not also win best of it's own genre

Because they would be even more pointless that way.

By all means shit on Emil for having the literary capabilities of a caveman. But Starfield's biggest issue is ditching the hand-crafted open world people want out of Bethesda games for the never-ending maze of procedural generation and loading screens.

Starfield’s biggest issue is that it’s a game about nothing made for no one

      Anonymous

I agree that that is Starfield's biggest problem.
However, even if Starfield had say 5 handcrafted planets loaded with detail, the actual world design/lore is very uninspired. It feels like what someone would've made if they were forced to make a sci-fi setting and didn't have much in terms of inspiration prior to that decision.
The game was always going to be a sub 5/10 game.

Why are incels so obsessed with shitting on this guy? You don't have to personally like Starfield to know its an objectively good game.

Imo, they've lost their way. Freedom and player agency is what really made Bethesda games different from everything else on the market and every game since Skyrim has been slowly removing player choice. I dropped Starfield the second I realized every single npc and shopkeeper is marked as essential.

      >Freedom and player agency is what really made Bethesda games different from everything else
No it fricking wasn't you delusional cuck. Oblivion and Skyrim had zero sense of agency or player choice. Morrowind already had the bare minimum but everything after it had none at all.

At least in Oblivion I could wait until night, break into the blacksmith's shop, kill the shopkeeper and then knick all his stuff. All without the game telling me this is an option. Compared to similar RPGs at the time like Fable, this was revolutionary.

Clearly he doesn't want to be there. What was he doing there, he already knew he was not wining shit, literally no one would have noticed if he wasn't among the crowd because no one gives a shit about Indiafield anymore.

Punished Todd lowest hour. How would he ever recover?
I'm afraid, all hope is gone lads. Not only Starfield shat on the little trust the coomsomers in general had for BGS, but also shat on any hype there could be for TES6. All that it took was Fallout76 and Starfield.

Arguably the decline started with Fallout 4,but even that game was better received in general by everyone.

I think that's good for TES VI. They made Morrowind, arguably the best TES game, when they were close to bankruptcy. Todd will focus his energy to make TES VI a masterpiece in order to save his status as a legendary developer.

imagine being considered gaming royalty. a visionary creator, heralded as one of industries biggest names.

you make a game ten years in the making, hugely anticipated, and you don't get nominated for a single fricking award. you show up to the Game awards anyway, only to be humiliated by your contemporaries as they've all surpassed you and your shitty bug riddled games at this point.

todd is a fricking fraud, and we all saw why Thursday.
