I absolutely adore Pokemon Soul Silver on the Nintendo DS. The game is amazing for many reasons, including its rich story and excellent gameplay mechanics. It's such a joy to play and I have a lot of fond memories of it!

heartgold is better
/vp/ will argue about literally anything
No we won't
Squabbles over which version is better despite the miniscule differences between them has always been at the heart of the fanbase.
Genuinely go frick yourself. Heartgold is fricking trash and you know it. Soulsilver is way better and you're a moron if you think otherwise.
They literally send you to the islands and told you to figure out which cave is the right one yourself
Meanwhile Heartgold just sends you to Ecruteak.
GF kinda hates 2nd versions in general but this was nuts
>They literally send you to the islands and told you to figure out which cave is the right one yourself
Pokemon dungeons are not hard they are baby's first dungeon.
Ho-Oh being linked to the kimono girls and being found at the top of a sacred tower like it was foreshadowed makes infinitely more sense in the narrative than the kimono girls booking it to the bottom of the whirl islands and sticking bells on some rocks to look “good enough” to summon Lugia.
One of these was built up to, the other is just there because they needed two games
They're the same game, arguing for the sake of it
Yeah, but one one of them has SOUL in the name
The other one has heart tho
SOVL Silver
>game corner removed
>replaced with soulless mini "game"
Into the bin it goes
>he played the burger version
>game that requires actually logic and strategy where you can rake up coins in no time at all if you're not a moronic 40 IQ frick up
>hurr durr push button slot reels go brrrrrrr
its was my first mainline game, i love hgss
Why was silver always the popular version? Even the metal is worth less
Colder color bias.
Gen 1: Blue > Red
Gen 2: Silver > Gold (repeats for remake)
Gen 3: Ruby and Sapphire basically tied, for once
Gen 4: Diamond > Pearl
Gen 5: White > Black, and then Black 2 > White 2 for the sequel when blue was added to Black 2, and red to White 2, funnily enough
Gen 6: X > Y
Gen 7: Moon > Sun
Gen 8: Sword > Shield
Idk about 9 it's too new, but you can look up sales numbers and it all matches up.
