cruelty squad is yucky but EYE pwns. Always love that essence of madness that's just constantly there but never strictly called out, just like some of the subtler malk moments in VTMB. Think my favorite is how if you swap on your EYE cyber vision in the HQ you can very rarely spot people with evil metastreumonic auras who will just instantly disintegrate into black tendril-like lightning and nobody will freak out or notice anything but you.

Trip across the states with each pitstop centering around dealing with different clans and whataever local bullshit they might have for you to get tangled in. Either your recruiting allies or gaining powers for the final confrontation with whomever your chasing or just trying to kill before their agents get to you. How you deal with the schisms you come across your journeys has massive impact on how the later game turns out and how well your prepared.

The Camarilla leave him dry, his fricking sheriff walks out and all his people seek reemployment from local gangs and by the end you can see him as a blood-addict homeless crackhead making the barest effort to hide his vampirism as he lays there at the side of the street.
An antediluvian woke up? You let him run rampart for a bit to let him savor the test, then inject your true faith wiener into him, increasing his generation to something above 2 digits. Then you leave him because your work is already done.
Finally at the end of the game once your True Faith reaches 10, you hatch a scheme to cleanse Caine of the Embrace. As Caine knelt there, sobbing shidding himself and crying in joy you look on with a knowing smile before God throws a fricking thunder bolt at Caine, turning him back into a vampire. The father of vampires turn to you in anger, but you are no longer there. The game ends with Caine now eternally seething at you but could never quite catch you as you go around fricking more vampire's night up.

I'd make a gacha game so I can make some real money to make a better game. 150 million is not a lot of money these days when it comes to game development. That gives you one shot at something high production.
Another CRPG. Instead of wasting time on choosing an engine and doing a bunch of programming I'll just hit up Larian and make my game using BG3 as the baseline, which would mean I could save money for other important things, like getting Chris Avellone to write the greatest script ever created. A lot of money would go into making the game look like a comic book a la The Mask fused with The Crow and finding someone capable of making a hard-hitting OST like VTMB had. The game would be based on the tabletop rpg's system instead of 5e (obviously). I'd probably use Welcome to the Black Parade since that song is kino.
Not sure exactly what the story would be about, but it'd be similar to the original bloodlines in some way.

Neotokyo's OST is nice but it's not quite the same.
Also unironically VTMB's music is terribly generic, it's almost royalty free tier in many ways. It has these clean, fixed instrumentrations and simple melodies, but it just clicked somehow, because it's not quite royalty free music either, there's some talent to it.
As if you told someone talented "make the most generic possible music", it's weird in many ways, but overall VTMB's music is rather simple, just very fitting.

VtMB had a very "time capsuled" OST though, and I think it'd be interesting if TCR dared to go for that sort of thing; some kind of modern dark and melancholic zoomer music (which would probably make Ganker REEE)? That'd be a damn hard route to take though, most of VtMB was literal lightning in a bottle, but it'd be very cool if they managed to pull it off... I'd hope for something along a gothic HLM1/2 OST.

I don't remember anything about Camarilla-wide policies like that? Though generally Thinbloods aren't considered "real" vampires so there's a lot of leeway in handling (or just doing whatever you want to) them. It's probably not unheard of Princes ordering cullings of Thinbloods in their domain.

It's a lot of fun in the abstract, but the way things turn out in these stories is that you get embraced for a reason, and it's rarely a walk in the park. Your sires will expect a lifetime of servitude. Perhaps more. And they're unlikely to be kind. They'll beat you into submission or they'll use Dominate on you. They'll blood bond you. Hell they might just kill you if you don't learn to obey without them having to use all these tricks. You'll exist in a world full of ruthless monsters who can toy with the body and the mind, and not just yours.

Probably Ventrue, they prepare you extensively for unlife even before you get bit, you are essentially seen as a long-term investment, and more to the point, there's a rule among the Ventrue that you never overlook or ignore a fellow in need no matter how important your business is.
From my understanding Tzimisce isn't so bad if you're a revenant, since you're basically already groomed into it for a long time and have family connections to several Kindred and the revenants who remain. Granted, getting chair'd for fricking up is harsher than dominate but c'est la vie.

Fleshcrafting is horrific but it's ultimately just the physical version of being mindraped repeatedly regardless, and Tzimisce do respect hospitality and try to avoid undue open conflict which means that if you mind your Ps and Qs and etiquette you might just make it to become your very own flesh abomination.

Vicissitude is a pretty rare discipline and if you have it there's a 97.4% likelihood of you being Tzimisce.
Fair enough, although independence has its own fair share of problems. It would be so incredibly easy to step on someone's toes accidentally and get savagely beaten or just murdered. As players we know all about the rules of vampire society but as an in-universe fledgling chances are you'll break some rule or offend someone and end up with a stake up your ass.
Ultimately it all depends on how evil your sire is. But as a whole I'd say Ventrue and Toreador. They're the most likely to embrace with care and force you into the least dangerous sorts of jobs. Also, being Dominated or Presence'd is probably less awful than being beaten or straight up blood bonded. That, or some obscure little bloodline of autists who do some arcane thing. If you somehow get embraced as True Brujah or something, it probably can't be that bad.
Also, it tends to get handwaved a lot in most player games by "oh my sire isn't around anymore" or "my sire is hands-off and lets me do what I want" but strictly speaking if you're embraced by a Camarilla you WILL be blood bound to your sire and you WILL be a slave to them potentially forever. Sabbat is a little bit better in terms of freedom but you're still a slave to the pack.
Yep. One of the things I like about VTM is the horror aspect of it, and it mostly comes from the fact that you are on the receiving end of power as often as you are wielding it. You play as a superhuman monster, but it's all a double edge sword.

I really liked it, didn't end up going full Sabbat on my playthrough but you still have to infiltrate their ranks as an antitribu for the barrio hub storyline. The new voice acting is pretty good for the most part and the writers seem to know the lore.
It also reworks the stats & disciplines to be more like the tabletop, which does cause a bug where some disciplines don't appear when scrolling through them using the mouse wheel but you can set them to quick-select buttons instead and they work fine. Other than that, the new hub does crash every now and then so just make sure to save often.

It depends on the clout of the individuals in question. But it seems like something that's unlikely to happen. If a vampire has their eye on someone then the human in question would already be in that vampire's orbit. A ghoul perhaps. They would be kept away from others.

The rulebooks state that kindred only desire blood, all else is passing fancy and illusion. They don't feel romance, at best they fool themselves into thinking that they feel something.

Thanks to disciplines and blood bonds a couple could theoretically use all sorts of tricks to intensify their feelings for one another. Immortality is also great for forging long lasting bonds. Imagine being in love for someone for hundreds of years. "Until death do us part" doesn't apply anymore. But I think on the whole vampires are actually less capable of romantic love than normal humans. For one thing, those aforementioned tricks can be a double edged sword. It's much harder to trust people knowing they can frick with your mind. There's also the matter of the Beast and the hunger for blood. It's not really noticeable in VTMB for gameplay reasons but those things are horrible. You know how they say that addicts will do anything for a fix? Vampires basically have the brains of addicts. And that's before the beast takes over. During a frenzy, there's no reasoning, no love, no nothing except primal fear and rage.
I feel like dating for vampires would be like dating for hardcore criminals and serial killers. You'll probably have some couples who've been together for centuries but generally speaking relationships would be based on fear and domination rather than affection.

There's absolutely no reason they shouldn't, especially with a fellow kindred. You can have all the money and power in the world, the feeling of loving and being loved is irreplaceable.

Nines, while a good guy, is basically just a baron in denial, yeah he'll have your back, but he's also a leader, he's gonna care more anout the Anarch ideal than anything else.

Beckett is honest and not afiliated to any faction, he won't frick you over as there's no reason to do.

First time I played it, I have no clue, and there were so many prompts telling me not to open it, LaCroix getting in the way, some literal Deus Ex Machina to attempt to stop you a the last fricking moment and let you reconsider, you have to, like, make the choice to open it a dozen times to actually get to the ending to open it. Eeeeh, depends. It's the "fighters vs wizards" debate. Werewolves are more powerful in terms if sheer, raw firepower, but vampires are more versatile.
A werewolf will power through a bunch of young vamps, but will struggle with an elder, once the "punch it until it dies" tactic no longer work.
The real showstoppers are the Awakened (mages) and True Fey. You don't want to frick with Tinkerbell, motherfricker.
Even a freshly rolled Werewolf is a combat machine. They can instantly change into a towering killing machine that deals a ton of aggravated damage and soaks most damage like it's nothing. Werewolves are incredibly aggressive and can slip into and out of various planes of existence. On top of that you have the various powers they can use, artifacts they can create and rituals they can perform. Some people will say werewolves are weak since their end-game reality-breaking powers may not be as powerful an antediluvian vampire or an archmage. If you're talking about the average supernatural, though, werewolves are going to be among the most powerful.
It sucks that we will never get a game where we can play other types of supernatural creatures in this setting. There sounds like some cool shit.

You technically can... but how would you go about it? It's basically a vampire space lizard Illuminati secret technique, even to "normal" Tzimmies, so you'd have to find a teacher (there's probably at most ~25 Koldunic sorcerors in the US?), convince them to give you the time and that you're worth the effort, and lastly it wouldn't surprise me that a certain spiritual knack is required to at all handle the craft: Having a bond to the old ways of the Earth or the Wyrm-ish spirits that the few Tzimisces knowing how to deal with?
Anything's possible in the WoD though and with some imagination you could cook up a Tzim version of pic related that have no contact with the rest of their clan but have some sort of "secret/imaginary friend" that whispers secrets in their ears and have enabled the beginnings of elementary Koldunic abilities...

Latter is so strong that it took a fricking satellite laser to take him down, but even that is doubtful, it wasn't probably him but one of his illusions.

Trailer doesn't look great but a lot of the stuff they've said about the game gives me hope, like the writer saying they don't want vampires to just be sockpuppets for their human political views, the art designers saying they're not going for a realistic world but a heightened reality version of seattle (and also having worked on Fable, a series that has a good visual style), the premise of playing an elder which is interesting and chinese room being largely revamped

Animations got more polished.
Sheriff's sword is now available as drop during rooftop fight.
German and french translations are being worked on.

The biggest hurdle facing Bloodlines 2 in my opinion is the absence of that grimy, punkish in your face irreverence that the first game had that made it feel like a late 90's action or crime movie. I feel like this is gonna be a bunch of the tabletop bullshit where the vampires mope around and recite poetry in the dryest fricking way possible.

Some Anon said a lot of the old clans have fallen out of favor with the scene in the last decade(s) and that the ones people are most interested these days are Assamites, Lasombras, Tremeres and other dark/mystic ones. The only "oldschool" clans still staying somewhat strong are supposedly Ventrue and Toreador.
Would make for a somewhat fresh chargen choice if nothing else, rather than just being "reskinned VtMB".
Tremere were always popular, much to White Wolf's annoyance. The had a real hateboner for the Tremere back in the day.

The individual bloodlines are still out there; it's just that the clan has become a union for spoopy ghost/necromancy vampires.

Realistically- gangrel or malkavian since I live in rural side and there are lots of hunters, poachers, hobos, thieves, and drug addicts.
Personality wise I'd end up as either ventrue or lasombra.

I'm just your average tech guy. And not even the nerdy kind either. I work with low code development platforms. I work from home most of the time and don't even make 6 figures. So really my only chances of getting embraced are if some random Brujah, Malk, or Gangrel decides to embrace me. If I got to choose I'd choose Lasombra or Nagaraja because their clan disciplines are incredibly cool (also because I'd love to be able to keep eating as a vamp), but there would be no chance for me to catch the eye of anyone from those clans.

It's actually pretty decent. A bit buggy & prone to crashing in the new map hub, but decent.
Wouldn't recommend it to anyone for a first playthrough though, just the base game is fine.
