>gimping yourself with weak weapons >purposefully missing out on cool features >refusing to interact with others in co-op
you didn't truly experience the game
Quite objectively if you used such spells/abilities/summons that let you defeat the boss without engaging with the mechanics, then I think it could be valid to say that "you didnt really beat it". I have never really copied someone's build for the endgame, but I have looked at general ideas of other people's builds, but I just feel my own character has been laughably weak at all the haligtree and farum azula levels, so it took me couple of tries to even beat Malenia with the Tiche summon, I think I had to engage with her mechanics and it was not a complete cakewalk.
Engaging with the boss' mechanics, chud. Personally I dont care if you choose to use comet spell to completely skip a boss without actually fighting against him, but objectively that could be considered that you did not fight against him, you just deleted him.
Elden Ring is an open-world fantasy adventure and is only as challenging as you make it. That's why there's multiple builds and tools (such as summons), instead of locking the player to a wretch with nothing but a club and a smile.
All the "omg so hardcore gaymer" shit is just a meme. The only "git gud" soulsborne game is Sekiro, which gives you very little to work with except for the base controls.
Besides, we all know "easy mode" is a gateway drug. They'll get curious and make a pure STR build with their newfound confidence at some point.
I didn't and still don't have a high enough vitality level to summon mimic tear. I'm level 77, and I was rocking 13 vitality till the twin gargoyles (now it's 19)

I used the Mimic Tear on any boss that was reused. I ain't fighting 4 lava lizards "honestly". I fought one that way and it was reason enough for me to treat the rest of them like trash.
My only two regrets are that I didn't use it sooner for duplicate bosses and that I used it on the God skin duo as I didn't think of that fight as a new encounter but just more reused trash.
>Used the game’s mechanics
Congrats. Tryhard third world morons will tell you otherwise.
You’d only need to beat the boss once and they’re piss easy the next playthroughs.
Recently I played pure faith build because I thought the late game incantations look cool as frick and I gotta say that shit is absolutely busted and it's a completely different game compared to playing melee.
Malenia, the "strongest" boss of the game was a cake walk with spamming Burn O Flame which will keep her permanently knocked down until you kill her in 3-4 casts.
Meanwhile, Ancient Dragon Lightning trivializes all big enemies.
It's good but playing with it is practically a melee build and requires some skill.
BOF and ADL are cheats. Also, before you get ADL Frozen Lightning does similar thing.
>vaguely remember fighting through a camp of those fire spellcasters in a late game area >it was right next to some ruins >climb up to a balcony overlooking the camp and summon Latenna >engage the enemies at melee range while she snipes them from afar
Good job bro
b... but I didn't expect such a positive reply. I thought people would get angry. I don't know what to do with my day now.
>I thought people would get angry
No way, it takes a lot of effort to beat a game, you did good.
You sure did, king.
Prove it
>gimping yourself with weak weapons
>purposefully missing out on cool features
>refusing to interact with others in co-op
you didn't truly experience the game
Congratulations.

>without engaging with the mechanics
he's engaging with the mechanics of summoning, you should engage with the mechanics of dilating

Not my problem that the game has shit balancing and AI - dev issue.
input reading and animation canceling are shit mschanics I don't want to interact with
>I beat the game
what game
No you didn't, you just lost the game. And so did I and everyone in this thread thanks to you butthole
what was the point in playing the game if you took the easy route? Literally just a waste of time

If you used mimic ash then you beat the game twice.
yes i do summon my mimic whenever i can
>Mimic exists
>Tons of options available
>"You didn't beat the game"
Zhazamtroons are pathetic
on no, a shazamtroony will say you didn't beat the game, somehow
We're proud of you, anon!
>search for the optimal path
>search how to beat all puzzles
Yes, i have beaten the game
that's pretty cool mimic but why the frick did you bring op with you
I didn't and still don't have a high enough vitality level to summon mimic tear. I'm level 77, and I was rocking 13 vitality till the twin gargoyles (now it's 19)
what's your build?
It was strength/faith using Black Flame, but then when i found thr Godslaying sword I pumped up Dex along with strength and Faith

that's pasta I haven't seen in a while
have a nice day
The only people who didn't beat the game are the seamless co-op homosexuals.
They beat the game before even playing co-op.
Allergic to fun?
Don't care still beat the game, and there's literally nothing you can do to stop me from claiming I did it solo 🙂
>beat the game without summons or coop.the first time
>now enjoying taking it easy with my unkillable skelebros
Congratulations brother
>play the game as melee chad
>mimic feels OP as frick
>replay as a castercuck
>mimic is shit that dies instantly
at last I see

Cry about it.
if you believed you beat the game you wouldnt be here trying to convince yourself of that
YDBTG
>open game
>use mechanics in that game to reach and kill the final boss
I beat the game
Beating it in easy mode is not beating it
Seeing the credits means I beat it
In easy mode
>game has hidden buffs that you can use
>IDDQD
>IDKFA
>IDCLIP
>Ganker: NOOOOO YOU DIDNT BEAT THE GAME
>Used the game’s mechanics

Catch Flame is extremely strong too. It's not flashy or exciting, but it's effective
It's good but playing with it is practically a melee build and requires some skill.

Neither did I.
