>murders a father and brutally kills his defenceless child >child grows up to exact revenge >umm actually you have to forgive them, because they've forgiven themselves, see? they're living productive and great lives doing major things, owning massive companies and organisations, with out a care in the world, they've completely forgotten about you, so just forgive them okay? see how they call you immature and disregard your trauma and hatred during boss fights? that means they earned your forgiveness!!! forgive them! sure they all got off scot free and they're all moving forward in their lives doing major things, while still owning thugs and engaging in illegal activities, showing that they clearly don't give a shit about their actions, you still must be a real man and forgive them! if you don't you get a very bad ending with red light and sad rain and we tell you you're unworthy and basically shit all over you, forgive them! be a pacifist!! even though you clearly used a blade to chop and kill their hooligans and basic enemies, even though we give you clear execution style finishers on basic thugs, you must not harm the actual perpetrators!! revenge is never the answer!!
Killing the player at the start when he was just a kid was too much honestly. They could've made it so his death was caused by some sort of collateral damage.
there is a clear difference between getting revenge and exacting justice, if they showed any of the enemies actually feeling genuine remorse or not enriching their own lives with the talismans THEY STOLE from YOU, without any recompense, then I would agree, but no.
>trying to be grey
it outright chastises you for getting revenge on all of them, combining this with an ominous red lighting and showing your character as clearly distressed despite literally putting his demons to rest. It's not letting the player choose anything
And? You literally killed them, you want the game to pat you on the back? It let you get revenge don't expect it to give you a medal of honour too, they were all reformed or at least no longer together as a criminal group. Getting revenge doesn't help anyone anyway, dad is still fricking dead, and any case of revenge irl always results in the guy rotting in jail for murder. Forgiving the enemy is the first step to forgive yourself, the main character in sifu forgives himself in the good ending, he doesn't in the kill them all ending.

In a lot of Chinese stories, revenge isn't just heroic, it's the filial thing to do. If you don't nut up and absolutely slaughter the guy who fricked with you, you've disgraced your family.
It's just such a basic necessity, that you WILL take a terrible revenge as soon as you get the chance.
>Get fricked as a child >See your enemy prosper and help others >Wait till their charity organizations are peak and self sustainable >Kill them >Let their organisation continue to help people
between this and last of us, is there any game with a revenge driven narrative that doesn't insult the player/boils revenge down to a one dimensional bad choice? Or atleast doesn't contradict itself with sifu killing goons but sparing the main enemies?
Looks like she would bite your dick off
you did spare and forgive her, right?
I will, just got through the botanist in my true ending run.

You forgive your enemies for your own benefit. Holding grudges is harmful.

murderers should be punished, whether its by the hands of vengeance or justice.
Is the game really anti-revenge? I mean, if you spare them, they kill you.
You forgot the part where these people used the power they took to help others and succeed in some extend.
>I beat you into a cripple and rob your house
>I donate all the money I found into charity
>see I'm a good person now, get over it anon ^_^
>one person crippled
>versus five hundred people now capable of living a productive life
I believe the point of the story is trying to be grey and left for the player to choose.

Perfect revenge.
Name 1 proper good thing they've shown to have done
Isn't the first boss a drug dealer? I got to him before I refunded since it didn't run right on my pc
they should've let us take the batman route.
beat them all senseless to the point of trauma and then leave them disfigured and disabled.

Baldur's Gate 1 and 2
All of Ilya 's shit looks exactly the fricked same man.
I'm just surprised it isn't a short haired dick sucking lips basic smiling girl.
This art unironically stands out the most out of everything he's done.
But yea, the guy is a fricking one trick pony.
Kinda reminded me of Kill Bill. Also, by far my favorite level and boss.
>you'll never a murderous waifu
why even live
Why?
