The Series S is cheap and Game Pass is perceived as a good value. That's all it takes for people to support some of the worst DRM the industry has ever seen. It's funny that all the backwards compatibility can easily be killed on Microsoft's end if they want to push people to a newer console instead or if they want to stop support for any reason whatsoever, it's seriously fricked up how awful the always online DRM is on the Series consoles and it's even worse because there will most likely be no way to end up hacking it.
