And by doing so, you're going to make it so Sephiroth will win with her not doing what she is supposed to do in the lifestream after she dies. You didn't think he helped them change the past for no reason, right? She has to die and this time you're going to have to put things right by going back and actively chooing to cut her down.
Saving Aerith ruins emotional weight of the whole story. The fact they had the confidence to commit to this in 1997 is part of what made the game so memorable.
There is no weight anymore, since we know it happened. 1997 was a masterpiece, but Remake already went too off rails to pull it off by doing the same thing
if the script for remake wasn't literally "changing fate" then yea. But we already saw Aerith's death hinted at numerous times in remake. I wouldn't be surprised if Cloud actually hallucinates her entire death at some point
True. They'll probably kill Tifa which will have no impact on the narrative compared to Aerith whose death was specifically chosen due to her heritage and her role as the innocent
They won't kill Tifa too many fanboys mad, even though Sephy would be smart to do it

They won't kill anyone. Sephiroth will summon Meteor, the lack of Aerith's sacrifice will prevent Holy from being summoned, but it will be discovered that Aerith's mother was Lucretia, and Sephiroth is also a Cetra. Zack will catch up to the group during the final confrontation, and the Jenova cells in Sephiroth's body will latch onto Zack's memories of Sephiroth, turning him back into the cool guy he was before Nibelheim, and Sephiroth will sacrifice himself to summon Holy and get the planet to push Meteor back using the Lifestream, so that Zack and Aerith can live happily ever after.

And where is Cloud and everyone during all this? If Aerith is able to be with Zack, then does Cloud wind up forever alone? He's not going to get between Barrett and Tifa since white girls are all snowbunnies. Yuffie is too young and foreign and autistic. Vincent is dead and gay, Cid is just Gay, and I don't think Cloud is a furry so Red XIII and Cait Sith are out.

You've got to be a fricking idiot. Like mega fricking Black person moron. We knew Zack was going to die in Crisis Core, and it was still impactful. How you fricking homosexuals even manage to breathe?
Isn't it interesting to contemplate the fact that highly paid Japanese people have probably spent hours trying to decide whether or not to kill off this fictional woman.
lol Tifa is a ride or die girl she wanted Cloud's dick even when he was a scrawny screwup even when Prime Zack was in front of her. Aerith had Zack and then moves on to Cloud.

After I finished Chapter 5 in Remake, I understood why Cloud was so hung up on her. She was very endearing. Tifa is a dime, but Aerith was emotionally soothing.

The thing is also that Aerith breaks Cloud's barriers. Him and Tifa are always tense around each other and both dont really know how interact. Aerith is more proactive since their first encounter, probably why saving her is the first decision Cloud takes that isnt based on his merc persona.

We don't know this for sure. The only Cloud she really got to interact with was "puppet" Cloud. Also their relationship wasn't strong enough to stop Cloud from beating the shit out of her after he gave Sephnova the Black Materia.

People need to realize how even if early FF7 Cloud isnt his actual persona, it still is part of him. People act like he was never an actual character until the lifestream scene, which is not the case.

Emo Cloud was always the real Cloud. He was emo before he met Aerith and he is still emo after she dies. I see no difference
The only thing that breaks him is the fact that he never became a 1st class SOLDIER and that all achievement in his whole life was a lie. I was hoping the remake would make Cloud more proud of that title to make the scene actually feel the impact, from what I saw in the first game he doesn't really give a shit that much about being SOLDIER so I'm not sure if the plot twist still works the same as the original
5 months ago
Anonymous
I think remake's point is how even Cloud realizes that SOLDIER was never that incredible as he expected. He knows that because he went to the same missions with Zack and Sephiroth. But yeah it is funny how people strangely act like Cloud was never real until he remembers his past.
It is almost the same bullshit Sephiroth tries to pull off.

That trailer created so much shitshow it is insane.
Cloud went from womanizer, to an butthole
Then aerith went from "confused", but she isnt as naive and knows what she's doing based on what she says in the first game. So people are confused if they say she's manipulative or just confused about her feelings. But they cant also admit she has feelings towards Cloud, or Cloud towards her. They are walking on eggs.

she can sustain herself indefinitely within the lifestream, not even sephiroth can do that. her dying isn't really a big deal.. everyone will die eventually and return to the planet to be reincarnated as cabbages, but she will probably remain there because vincent would be all alone. they will meet up in various flower fields with high wifi signal for picnics.
Yes. She will learn to control it from within. She has all the time in the world. Since the party was gracious enough to dispose of Sephiroth, the only means of destroying the Cetra is forever gone. Now nothing can stop her.
It’s gonna be Cloud getting killed, isn’t it. That way the coma Cloud in Zack’s timeline will probably gain that Cloud’s memories when he winds up in the Lifestream.
No, this theory of memory switch has no basis on reality. Zack and biggs went to the other timeline since they got to be transported at the point of some sort of singularity of fate destruction

off-topic but I hate Rinoa so much it's fricking unreal
I still maintain the stance that there were 3 different Sephiroths in Remake.
The first one for like 95% of the game was the Sephiroth from the Remake timeline who has SOME "leaked knowledge" of what already transpired in other timelines before, just like Aerith. Last time he appeared in Remake was when black-hooded dude jumped off from Shinra HQ's roof.
The second one is the Sephiroth you see at the end of the Highway and then again at the Edge of Creation. No idea who he is. Maybe Sephiroth from a doomed timeline where either mutual annihilation occurred or Sephiroth "won" but the result was so disastrous for him that that timeline's Sephiroth actually ended up having a heel-face after it was all over. There's not enough information about him yet.
As for the third Sephiroth, the "boss fight Sephiroth", he wasn't really Sephiroth at all, but instead just some kind of whisper-made caricature that was created because Sephiroth was considered as the strongest sentient being in history even by the planet itself so it created a "whisper-sephiroth" that spouted random Sephiroth quotes from the compilation during battle as a last ditch effort after being cornered by Cloud's team, yet was ultimately defeated.
Didnt like it at first but later i understood that the battle is supposed to be a more fierce battle of human sephiroth, it's aggressive and quick, not majestic like safer.
So far everything I haven't liked about remake has turned out to be something I did like once I looked at the lore and how it makes sense and thought about it more. So far all the decisions have been correct even if it doesn't seem that way at first.
Its completely impossible for someone to dislike something and later realize it wasnt as i was expecting, leading to me actually liking it.
Me being afraid that REmake 2 was gonna be too action to be a remake, but the realizing it was actually great at survival horror? Nah that never happened. Im actually still really angry and stubborn at it.
Depends on what jenova's role will even be in this trilogy. I hope she gets more, Jenova as a parasitic being that copies life was always very interesting.
While it makes sense narrative-wise. Jenova itself isnt that interesting as a last boss. If we fight someone/something in the context we expect, it needs to be more than just an alien. Something that evokes a feeling of "holy shit"
That's what I expect. It's a bit more exciting than ending with Motorball as it would have for part 1, but I still think just like that they will change it to either Sephiroth or whoever else plays a bit part in the game's end
I doubt they will make us fight sephiroth again. People talk about a schizo Cloud and i honestly see it happening.

If Genesis ever appears he would be a guide, he kinda redeems himself at the end of crisis core. I dont think they would ever bring him back to be a main villain.

Zack makes a huge deal out of giving Aerith something while Cloud needs to be reminded he even has a flower and simply grunts while handing it over. Whoever wrote that is either delirious or being coy about something else.
>”you dont understand clerithgay, cloud is zack when he is with aerith and his real self is only shown around tifa!” >cloud gives flower to tifa in manner similar to zack, and doesnt even initiate to give away the flower until tifa mentions it >”see, cloud loves tifa”

Tifa fans are still trying to cope after the lastest aerith trailer, I see
Early FFVII/FFVIIR Cloud is mentally a 15-year-old boy who after a very traumatic experience got turned into an experimental subjects that included alien cells that would turn most people into vegetables and so it did for him, too.
The only reason he was capable of being a somewhat functioning being was because the combination of Zack's final words and meeting Tifa again both together happened to coincide with core traits of the concept of "Reunion", but instead of reuniting with Jenova it was about becoming a cool successful merc in Midgar while also showing off to Tifa how he succeeded and became a SOLDIER, thus Cloud's band-aid cope personality was made.
In that state I don't think he was really mentally capable of genuine romance and love.
That being said, it's quite a Final Fantasy thing ever since FF1 to have the player be somehow inserted into the narrative, sometimes subtly, sometimes openly.
In FFVII the player is arguably either the planet or some friendly good-willed being from space. Since Cloud can be influenced by Jenova due to the Jenova cells, then the sheer amount of mako injections that Cloud had also received (and bathed in, including the lifestream itself) which were constantly brought up yet supposedly had zero importance and was suppoedly just a red herring and it was actually all just Jenova cells that turned eyes blue and made Cloud strong? Would seem rather pointless, narratively speaking, so it's more likely that it's actually the planet or some kind of other (unlike Jenova actually good-willed) higher power that came from space and synergizes with the planet well, which explains the otherwise seemingly pointless intro sequence of space/the night sky which then jumps to the PERSPECTIVE of the broken mako pipe as if we the player were the mako spilling out looking at Aerith.
>so it's more likely that it's actually the planet or some kind of other (unlike Jenova actually good-willed) higher power that came from space and synergizes with the planet well, which explains the otherwise seemingly pointless intro sequence of space/the night sky which then jumps to the PERSPECTIVE of the broken mako pipe as if we the player were the mako spilling out looking at Aerith.
So the player is Lavos and FFVII is actually a prequel to Chrono Trigger
"More so than" does not mean "without," anon... In fact, in the context of that kind of scene, that connotation indicates something deeper than a feeling of simple romance. It's deeper than JUST a romantic moment. They aren't mutually exclusive. Cloud can feel vindicated in finally being there for Tifa AND have feelings for her romantically at the same time. That excerpt just means that, in that moment, he was more focused on the former than the latter. It was more powerful. After all, being the kind of guy Tifa can rely on all stems from the fact that he had a crush on her. So it all always goes back to that in the end.
I really hope square enix create a new girl for cloud to date at the end of the trilogy so clerith and clotigays shut the frick up already and just make them seethe like a lot of Evagays when rebuild ended
the only people who refuse that aerith is the canon love interest have probably never fallen in love themselves which is understandable. but when you see the dynamic that cloud and aerith have, as soon as they meet, you could immediately tell its love at first sight the way that shit is written. maybe not so much in the OG but remake makes it so blatantly obvious that cloud is head over heels for this woman
Well even if they favor cloud aerith a bit more it will still be vague enough to not be the only canon. There is no way we are getting some 100% confirmation.
>og established aerith as the lover by default in the game >by having her die not even halfway through and then having Cloud "hang out" with Tifa all night before the final dungeon
Cloud's choices are actually made by the Player. Literally. Cloud really is mostly just a puppet with two sides (Player and Sephiroth/Jenova) wrestling for control while Cloud is caught in the middle. So it's the Player who influences Clouds words and relationships with others.
yea they are streaming it in Japan before rebirth releases. Almost like it's a... PREQUEL. Very sly Square, they say that everything links up to AC, but in complete inverse in what fans think
I find hilarious how everything about Rebirth is being seen in both ways, people have no fricking idea of what this game will be until it happens. I also go in the "it is a sequel", but you know how everyone will only be sure after the second game.
Probably nothing changed, runtime and everything is the same as it was. I think they'll just have Rebirth recontextualize how AC fits into the timeline(s) of FF7. They're definitely not doing screenings of it before releases without reason lol.
They won’t kill her in nuFF7. No publisher has the balls any more to kill of a waifu and thereby risk limiting aforementioned waifu’s marketing potential.
So, what do you think about this here
https://twitter.com/ShinraArch/status/1737865523218513952
I would like it a lot if the death of Zack in the remake version uses the OG version, so that the whole "send off" we see happening in CC is more like something Cloud imagined.
I'd kind of like it. The original death was more cold, sudden and real in that way. I think that was more in tone with other serious moments like Dyne and Aerith in the original game. This whole epic large hollywood showdown with 100k soldiers never felt the same to me.
I find the whole way nomura talks about that scene puzzling, he is cryptic but he never says things he doesnt intend to. Even he knows how that scene can be weird and changes a lot based on interpretation
It might just be that person's translation, but the Japanese version sounds like a line that could have come out of the original game, whereas the English version sounds appropriate to the characters and writing we've seen with the remake. I wonder if we're going to actually see versions of characters from both timelines in this.
I like that remake uses so much of those big piles of brown rock and mud. They were in so much of the slums I was worried the world map would mean leaving them behind. But they're in all the rebirth footage I see. Would be cool if they were grey instead of brown in part 3
This concept art made me wonder, is there a mod that makes all chapters in the slums with the lighting of the og or night time?
I didn't really missed the atmosphere of the og
I never understood the argument that Aerith only liked Cloud because he looked like Zack, everything they had in common was super basic and their personalities were completely different.
Aerith says that herself. She surely believed he was weird because he had the same body language. But she says how they are so fricking different that she never got confused about their identities.
There are few characters as different as Zack and Cloud.
I find interesting how in the og game this hints about Zack and Cloud talking in similar ways, but this is something clearly abandoned because not even that is something that was kept. Seems like they went the route of both of them only sharing body mannerisms and being SOLDIER.
>written by Benny Matsuyama
Not canon. Dude admitted he was just bullshitting it himself >But Squareenix approved
Only mean it's an official book, the doujin however is still not canon. It directly contradicted later works that made by Squareenix
Bentstudiostuff was ordered to write FF X-2 ultimania and a doujin by Square too. Once again, Benny was not part of dev team and didn't even know SquareEnix going to revive Tidus so he directly contradict the game.
Does the movie ever explain what is this thread thing that tied to Cloud's left arm? Apparently, everyone in the main party has it too except for Vincent or maybe I just can't see it because he wears a cape
No but Nomura confirmed it was meant to become a crossover with Dragon Ball that ended up not happening. It symbolizes their loyalty to the Red Ribbon army.
I used to say they were dead and gone but now that they aren't I think it makes sense that they aren't and it's good even and anyone who thought they were gone or wanted them gone is an idiot.
Ff7 remake is just the evangelion rebuilds but for ff7. Every good thing about it is either lazily recreated for the sake of pandering, or "subverted." It even has the whole time loop bullshit that drags the original into it's moronic canon. Either her death is a fake out/hallucination and cloud saves her, or she comes back anyway.
Doomers keep saying Genesis will be in remake, but he won't. And I'm going to laugh at them when they're proven wrong.
However, if he does show up I'll be interested to see how they include him and will be switching my position to "they did a great job with him / genesis was always good" etc. Anyone else doing the same?
I unironically agree, Genesis talked in riddles yet his actions made more sense than Zack's.
Been replaying remake after ff16. It's amazing how much more SOVL remake has. I like it more now retroactively after suffering through 16.Why can't squeenix be this consistent with all their games?
I don't like you criticizing XVI but I will let you away with it just this once because you're doing it to say Remake is good. And that's what's important.

no she's the most op character. especially if you max everyone out. if you hit every slot on her limit break, maxed out, and full stats. she hits Harder than both Cid, and knights of the round
That works neither way. No matter how you look at it one is significantly stronger than the other. If compared normally Celes can normal attack sixteen times per turn. And in special cases Tifa can counter with a Mime-Limit Break eight times per enemy turn while Celes can Vanish-Doom you. And in the lore sense Tifa is a regular human actually an android,if we take X-2.5 ito account while Celes is a Magicite enhanced superhuman.
she is supposed to be generic semi-tomboy gf with kind hearted personality. Which is actually a better personality than: Disney princess that doesnt fit with the tone of the game so it was a wise decision to have the edgy villian to kill her b***h ass (Aerith)
I know because she shows more personality in Dissidia than in FF7.
I played almost all the games including dissidia
Tifa is a bland character but much less bland than Aerith. Aerith is a dumb b***h stuck in a cyberpunk story about doing industrial sabotage and shit. Shes literally peak moron tone deaf character design.
>part 2 has two separate campaigns one for cloud and one for nu-zack >she lives in cloud's universe >she dies in zack's universe >zack joins cloud at the end of part 2 >nu-zack and aerith have a happy ending in part 3

Pretty likely with the way Rebirth is being designed, they are making both parts alongside each other. Its taken almost 4 years for Remake to Rebirth, so maybe 3 till the next one? No generation jump here either.
>they are making both parts alongside each other
Are they? I havent been keeping up with Rebirths updates lately. >Its taken almost 4 years for Remake to Rebirth, so maybe 3 till the next one?
I sure fricking hope that after Rebirth, Rebirths DLC, part 3, and part 3 DLC Square doesnt DARE to do the same with 6, the whole remaking it into parts, I mean, there are words that say that people in Square are saying that a 6 remake would be "very ambitious", I just hope they use 7R battle system and they use 6s discarded content.
https://www.ign.com/articles/vincent-valentine-will-be-an-accompanying-character-in-final-fantasy-7-rebirth
If fricking Vincent isn't playable, surely Cid won't be either.
https://www.gamesradar.com/final-fantasy-7-rebirth-dlc-isnt-planned-right-now-says-tetsuya-nomura/
No DLC planned right now, which probably means they want to speed up getting a third part out instead.

spent 4 hours in the downed Shinra airship grinding sources. turns out I 255 for everything
Oh, I didnt know that.
Do we know were Rebirth will end? Will it end in the Forgotten City like in disc 2?
The likely thing is that R3 is coming out next year, but I wouldn't be surprised if they announce it then immediately follow up with an AC game and/or DoC remake that becomes the canon ending of the compilation. I would expect the IX remake finally getting announced somewhere before that, and then either XVII or a SoP-adjacent remake of 2 (Dawn of Souls) or 3 (Warriors of Darkness) from whatever remains of CBU3's action game dev team collaborating with team ninja
Then by 2026-2027 you'll get X3 instead of a VI or VIII remake
>XVII
I think its a bit too early to be thinking of that, Id expect that in like, 2029 at minimum. >IX remake
I even forgot that was suppoused to be a thing. >AC game and/or DoC remake
Id be more willing to bet for a DoC remake than an AC one tbdesu. >3 (Warriors of Darkness)
That would be fantastic. >X3
The sun will cool off before that happens, IDK what brand of copium youre on, but I want some.
>Do we know were Rebirth will end? Will it end in the Forgotten City like in disc 2?
We don't know, but my sincere belief is that it will end shortly after the Aerith death scene goes sideways and Cloud dies instead, setting up a third game where Zack is the party lead with unlikely ally Gackt.

I mean, if they are truly developing Redemption alongside Rebirt that means the third part wont have as much content as 1 or 2, wich would match with the third disc.
Also, who the hell is Gackt? I see that name popping off from time to time, but Im not that much into DoC deep lore, I only know Weiss and a bit of Deep Ground.

Im gay and have no stake in this but Aerith >> Tifa >>>>>> Yuffie.
Im 100% convinced that the only reason anyone likes Yuffie is because shes young looking.
Dont think it matters with enough Hero Drinks. Will matter even less for Rebirth Im sure, Im gonna rock Barret, Red, and Cait Sith no matter what tier they are.
Ackshaully you can just put Barret in your team at the save point before the stairs and obtain it that way. You don't have to use Barret the entirety of that part.
She is the most fun character in Remake, although she was added later via DLC. I haven't really paid any attention to character specific changes, but Tifa was the second most fun where the only thing I didn't like was spending ATBs to self-buff to get her Triangle move to have all the options to cycle down from.
the gay has spoken if you dont have his taste in reverse you are not heterosexual you hold the same taste for women as a homosexual.
Therfore his order (in reverse) is the way to go.
How much would the game be improved if Barret was a military mommy woman instead. And removing Aerith from the game entirely ofc, she should be killed again imo.
At the end of Remake Sephiroth time shenanigans led to the creation of a parallel timeline where Zack survived and carried a still drooling moron Cloud back to Midgar
yeah thats what i mean.
so if they can undo his death, that opens all sorts of peak moronic kino that could be on the table for remake2.
do we want this though?
We're already going to go off the rails, we're going to meet up with a former teammate of Sephiroth who once cared for him and now hates him and hunts him after a falling out. We might as well go full moron as long as they can wank key moments enough to tug some emotion out of us
Genesis showing up has more precedence even without all the moronic timeline bullshit, he's literally just sleeping in a cave all the way through DoC in the regular timeline
lol why do people take ever crisis seriously, it's just a fun gacha game (well fun for those who like this kind of stuff, I never got the appeal). Cloud tifa got some matching outfits too.
Although I wonder if they decide to do more crossovers who will get the skins
Tidus Yuna I would imagine would be cloud aerith
They can make Squall rinoa Cloud tifa
It's more than a little fun. It's a lot of things people who complained about FF16 should like. The turn-based combat, the elemental weaknesses, buffing/debuffing, the difficulty, different builds, lots of customization, lots of party members, plenty of resource management, weapon and materia upgrading and lots of grinding.
As someone with more than 100 days in it, actually playing and engaging with EC is genuinely great fun. I also have a hard time recommending it because of how often it interrupts itself or gets in it's own way. Pause here to go grind the same stage 50 times on auto to get the resources you need, before we finish this story you gotta fight frogs to pad the stage count, shit like that. The build variety is actually pretty wild though, I give it big props for that. Even cheese shit has a bit of a place with Very Hard dungeons having multiple encounters vulnerable to shit like fishing for stuns or silence

It has a great PC port. Do download it to your phone as well though because the PC version doesn't let you watch ads for in game currency and phone does.
The truth is that a lot of people lived for 26 years without considering that yeah ff7 plays with a love triangle concept. And the games having fun with it make them go insane. So every bit of news start an insane discourse.
10 is already perfect. Why the frick would they remake it?

I dont think so, after seeing how SE's marketing is being for Rebirth, it looks well planned. The fact they have even screenings of AC going on in Japan 2 weeks before Rebirth show that.
The release date was always "Winter". That it can change a lot if we refer to japan.

>marketing is being for Rebirth, it looks well planned
Not sure if showing 7R trailer right after FF16's second trailer was good marketing. usually, they want to keep silence until the latest title is released before moving on to promote the next. It's weird because they know 7R is the game people actually looking forward to unless they originally planned to release both games in the same year
It is not a digital effect, it is more like a dna simbolism. More like something that simbolizes the legacy of Sephiroth that lives through memories. How he's connected to Cloud.
And Remake reusing that tells you enough.
>More like something that simbolizes the legacy of Sephiroth that lives through memories. How he's connected to Cloud. >And Remake reusing that tells you enough.
Yep. Remake is making it clear that they plan on going in a completely different direction to fight against the legacy of the og 7s story. Remember what nanaki and tifa say when they get glimpses of AC? >A glimpse of tomorrow should we fail here today >This cannot be our future
Puristgays have no one but themselves to blame of they are holding out hope for a 1:1 remake of the original
Why did she even die in the OG? Was Sephiroth really that obsessed with Cloud? I really liked him more when he was just crazy and wanted to fly the planet around the galaxy, but I'll never get his OCD regarding Cloud.
>Why did she even die in the OG?
Two fold plot device. Her death was connected to the theme of "loss" and she was able to summon Holy which was supposed to be one of the only things that would prevent Meteor from doing what Sephiroth wanted it to do, so she had to go but it was too late.
Gaia is an entity that inhabits The Planet, not The Planet itself. Eventually when The Planet dies Gaia will find another planet to assimilate. What if Gaia were to approach a new planet and begin to assimilate its life into Gaia's lifestream, while spreading natural mako that burns flesh and causes hallucinations and nightmares that can lead to a comatose state and even, ironically, death?
It's a major plot point of Dirge of Cerberus, which ties in to some theories about the nature of the planet present in VII, mostly monologued by Bugenhagen.
From what i remember Dirge's point is more how the lifestream, that inhabits the planet, can leave to other worlds as a defense mechanism. But i never saw it as them being separate things from the start.

Yeah there's no singular entity confirmed, but between Bugenhagen and The Cetra's purported ability to speak to The Planet, its gifting of Materia, and the creation of Weapons, it's reasonable to assume there is a sentient entity. This is only reaffirmed in the Remake continuity with the Whispers.
All I'm trying to do with this question
What's the difference between Gaia (The Planet) and Jenova?
is essentially determine the nature of either theoretical entity. How would Gaia or even just The Lifestream collective in general act if they landed on an inhabited planet? How would the theoretical inhabitants react to Omega falling from the sky and unleashing unrefined mako everywhere?
I imagine it would be interpreted similar to how the Cetra claim Jenova was.
Anonymous
The thing is how Jenova is the inverse of what something like the Lifestream is. Because Jenova itself cant create life, just corrupt and copy it until it degrades everything. Even if in a extreme scenario the lifestream could go to other planets through omega or whatever, the whole way it works and acts is different than a parasite like Jenova. We dont have a single scenario of jenova being capable of creating life, just corrupting it.
Even the remnants were born from parts or Sephiroth, they arent new beings.

Anonymous
Is there a scenario of Gaia and/or The Lifestream actually creating life? The Planet itself is a biome for life, sure, and to that extent there seems to be a symbiotic relationship, except for the whole mako poisoning and Weapons fiasco. So The Lifestream eventually consumes the ambiguous spirit energy of all life along with their memories, then when The Planet dies, it goes off to... find more life to consume? It sounds the same as what Jenova does. The only real difference being that Jenova is likely less powerful and is more of a predator, while the Lifestream is more dedicated to cultivating what it will inevitably consume. The overarching point being that The Lifestream could easily be interpreted by a third party as Jenova was interpreted by the Cetra.
It's why I used the Crystalline Entity from Star Trek as an example. For context; the afforementioned entity flew around space and ate life by the planetload, and a survivor from one of its "attacks" spent the entire episode trying to convince Captain Picard to destroy it instead of attempting to study and communicate with it.
Did the Crystalline Entity deserve to die?

>Is there a scenario of Gaia and/or The Lifestream actually creating life?
That's actually what WEAPON is
>Gast >Ifalna, can you comment on the thing called 'Weapon'?
>Ifalna >Yes, Professor. >The one the Professor mistook for a Cetra... was named Jenova. That is the 'crisis from the sky'. >The Planet knew it had to destroy the 'crisis from the sky'... >You see, as long as Jenova exists, the Planet will never be able to fully heal itself.
>Gast >Back then, Weapon was a weapon the Planet produced of it's own will?
>Ifalna >Yes, but... There is no record of Weapon ever being used. >A small number of the surviving Cetra defeated Jenova, and confined it. >The Planet produced Weapon... But it was no longer necessary to use it.
>Gast >So, Weapon no longer exists on this Planet?
>Ifalna >Weapon cannot vanish. ...it remains asleep somewhere on the Planet. >Even though Jenova is confined, it could come back to life at some time... >The Planet has not fully healed itself yet. It is still, watching Jenova.
I have some lingering suspicion that Jenova is gonna be linked to Ultima in some way. This cosmic horror from beyond the stars that goes to magic rich planets and fricks with it's inhabitants to drive them mad
FFVII Remake IS your DoC Remake. It's also a Crisis Core remake (Crisis Core Reunion is a remaster). They're literally rolling all of the Compilation of FFVII into Remake.
It's not a question of taking it seriously or not, it's just discussing video games.
It's not my fault FFVII is just a clusterfrick of unfinished story concepts left ambiguous all just to pretend there's more content than there really is. FFVII could have been six hours long if it just focused on one concept instead of having twenty different vignettes that get patched later by EU content, including an overpriced sequel trilogy.
at this point I don't really care what they do with her, I'll enjoy the shitshow. story was already ruined with time janies, parallel universe plotlines and nomura's obsession with kingdom hearts.
Leave Sephiroth to me
Give up.
No
cucked
heh
Those eyes look really bad
You can't anon, that's the point
we beat the time ghosts and changed fate by saving Zack, Jessie, Biggs, and Wedge. We beat the time ghosts and change fate by saving Aerith
>There is no weight anymore, since we know it happened
moron. You can tell the same thing twice
if the script for remake wasn't literally "changing fate" then yea.
Vincent is dead and gay, Cid is just Gay, and I don't think Cloud is a furry so Red XIII and Cait Sith are out.
he was joking anon
I already claimed Cait SIth anyway.
Why would killing Tifa be “smart?” She has zero power to interfere with his plans.
>There is no weight anymore, since we know it happened.
You've got to be a fricking idiot. Like mega fricking Black person moron. We knew Zack was going to die in Crisis Core, and it was still impactful. How you fricking homosexuals even manage to breathe?
It could be impactful if they didn't hint at it 50 times already and just remade the game normally
>Saving Aerith ruins emotional weight of the whole story.
There's no surprise there anymore. If you go full time jannies, you might as well save Aerith to see what happens next.
That's why we'll save her, and lose Cloud instead
Isn't it interesting to contemplate the fact that highly paid Japanese people have probably spent hours trying to decide whether or not to kill off this fictional woman.
>Cloud saves aerith
>Its exactly what sephiroth wants
Good, sephy deserves to win, he suffered enough
frick off Naoki Hamaguchi we don't need your headcannon shit
Those feathers are from Genesis's wing screencap this post
what does genesis want from aerith
her geneseed
Use her to summon Minerva maybe? Some leaks mentioned him fusing with her to become red armor WoL, but it's too insane to be plausible.
she dies and wakes up in Zack's timeline. Lifestream is just the multiverse how fricking mad will you be?
So completely get rid of the impact of her death.. I know square is dumb, but they aren't that dumb
Bro, we've already jumped the shark by taking away the impact of Zack's death.
barret
It's okay anon Robert Pattinson mailed square and told them to keep her alive
What the frick are you talking about schizo
So Pattinson is an aerisgay, go figure
Based but also cringe, Tifa is better
tifa for sex, aerith for marriage
lol Tifa is a ride or die girl she wanted Cloud's dick even when he was a scrawny screwup even when Prime Zack was in front of her. Aerith had Zack and then moves on to Cloud.
Aerith literally only dates Cloud for the parts of Zack he emulates and doesn't get to know the real him at all, the relationship (Romantically) is superficial
no, that's silly
>No
????? Ok anon i guess if you say so, can't argue with that
She went on a date with him to get to know the real him, not because he is zack. She tells you that on the date
their date is going to be so angsty, she knows she will die
After I finished Chapter 5 in Remake, I understood why Cloud was so hung up on her. She was very endearing. Tifa is a dime, but Aerith was emotionally soothing.
The thing is also that Aerith breaks Cloud's barriers. Him and Tifa are always tense around each other and both dont really know how interact. Aerith is more proactive since their first encounter, probably why saving her is the first decision Cloud takes that isnt based on his merc persona.
This Aerith also has some future memories so she wants to cherish her moments with him, as she says it herself. She wont waste time.
>Aerith breaks Cloud's barriers
Because most of the time people who say that have an "allegiance".
Yeah i've noticed that, it is the mental gymnastics that happen all the time.
Any scene with Aerith cant be real, you need to understand.
That's why nojima gets fricking threatened when they put romance scenes in the trailer, these people blind themselves, never try to understand the story, then get mad when it doesnt follow their headcanon.
>Cloud is being coerced into certain actions
>But any kind of positive interaction with Aeris is his true self without question despite his normal demeanor being withdrawn and solitary
Ironic considering there were accusations of mental gymnastics going around
>But any kind of positive interaction with Aeris is his true self without question
Where did you take this from anything i said? The fact that's what you took from my post is insteresting. You had to larp a greentext from nothing to have any argument.
It is a new modus operandi
You create a whole sentence that has nothing to do with what was previously said then you answer it yourself.
>Where did you take this from anything i said
Just showing the flip side of the coin of the statement in
. If you thought that was directed at you then do you perhaps have a point of view that applies?
That trailer created so much shitshow it is insane.
Cloud went from womanizer, to an butthole
Then aerith went from "confused", but she isnt as naive and knows what she's doing based on what she says in the first game. So people are confused if they say she's manipulative or just confused about her feelings. But they cant also admit she has feelings towards Cloud, or Cloud towards her. They are walking on eggs.
From what i'm seeing they stopped trying to explain it and are just not talking at all about it anymore. There is no way out.
>Emo Cloud was always the real Cloud. He was emo before he met Aerith and he is still emo after she dies. I see no difference
Which is why you can't trust any of the positive interactions between them.
>I'm not sure if the plot twist still works the same as the original
They've already bailed on that being a huge revelation thanks to Hojo realizing who Cloud is.
>Which is why you can't trust any of the positive interactions between them.
Do you really believe in that or do you want that to be true?
I'm not the guy who pointed out Emo Cloud being his true self
That's not the answer to my question, but the fact you dodged it tells how it is probably the second option.
What I think doesn't matter, it's what anyone can prove that does
At that point Cloud would probably attack anyone because he was at the peak of his schizo behavior. And i bet it will happen in Rebirth.
I'd argue he may have been worse when he was begging Hojo for a number and during that time he apologized to Tifa for not being who he was supposed to be.
People are really ignoring how Tifa herself talks how she's afraid of him, he keeps trying to kill random people, be it reno, black robbed guy or johnny.
The difference is how at some point Sephiroth diverges that killing intent and points it to Aerith.
In that fricking trailer we see him seeing Sephiroth inside of a random hospital idk
I bet he will cause a shitshow because he will point his weapon to civilians.
>Tifa herself talks how she's afraid of him, he keeps trying to kill random people
Remake is an alternate universe/timeline
She only likes Cloud because he reminds her of her old boyfriend. Tifa has liked him from the very start and was the one to restore the real Cloud.
no, that's silly. you're being insecure around weird perceptions of loyalty! it's ok though, i get it. gotta look forward not back narratives can hurt because not everyone gets someone.
og established aerith as the lover by default in the game
cc morons who never even played the og and only played worse fan fic trash afterwards are coping to this day
>og established aerith as the lover by default in the game
>by having her die not even halfway through and then having Cloud "hang out" with Tifa all night before the final dungeon
cloud would not have grieved as hard if it had been ANYONE else that died, even tifa. youre out of your mind if you think otherwise
>Aeris dies
Cloud gives some limp-wristed monologue while her killer gloats right next to him
>Tifa almost dies
>Cloud grabs a sword and impales the strongest man on the planet almost immediately
Are you going to ignore that his village and mother also just got burned down?
he mentions his mom and Tifa individually before his town, it's clear Tifa is as important to him as the woman who raised him
>aerith on date to cloud: "I want to...... meet you"
> low affection highwind scene: cloud says if he keeps on trying one day the planet will give him an answer
>last scene of the game
>cloud seeing a vision of aerith
>"an answer from the planet, the promised land, I think I can meet her there"
pretty beautiful if you played the game right
>last scene of the game
>cloud seeing a vision of aerith
or it's just there to let the player know she was responsible for the Lifestream responding
>I think I can meet her there
So when does he seek out the Promised Land?
duality of man
literally what part of cloud resembles zack in any way except for the eyes, sword, and larping as a soldier? fricking nothing.
Zack probably liked to crossdress too
his spiky hair? Sure it's a different style, but it's still spiky.
Tifa is a real one no doubt, I just prefer Aerith personality and looks
And this is why i think they will keep things open. 7 was never something like FF8 or FF10 where there is just one real romance perspective and that's it.
And no, scenes with rikku or quistis arent really comparable to what we see with Tifa and Aerith.
Every time I think this dude is perfect I remember he has a British accent. Everyone has at least one gaping flaw
wonder what he thinks of the remake
>Tifa vs Aerith is just the 90s version of Team Edward vs Team Jacob
it all makes sense now
Yes, but you can't save Tifa, who will die in the remake, just reminding you this will happen, Aerith lives, Tifa dies, this is your future
>le zack survives in the this timeline but now aerith is in a le COMA
fricking hacks lmao

You share his prosopagnosia
No, you just have a condition.
she can sustain herself indefinitely within the lifestream, not even sephiroth can do that. her dying isn't really a big deal.. everyone will die eventually and return to the planet to be reincarnated as cabbages, but she will probably remain there because vincent would be all alone. they will meet up in various flower fields with high wifi signal for picnics.
Yes. She will learn to control it from within. She has all the time in the world. Since the party was gracious enough to dispose of Sephiroth, the only means of destroying the Cetra is forever gone. Now nothing can stop her.
>they will meet up in various flower fields with high wifi signal for picnics.
>we're linking remake to AC
this really can mean a shit ton of things at this point
I think it is really obvious how rebirth will go full sequel territory
They are doing screenings of AC in Japan 2 weeks before Rebirth's release.
It’s gonna be Cloud getting killed, isn’t it. That way the coma Cloud in Zack’s timeline will probably gain that Cloud’s memories when he winds up in the Lifestream.
No, this theory of memory switch has no basis on reality. Zack and biggs went to the other timeline since they got to be transported at the point of some sort of singularity of fate destruction
her death is a fixed point
only in the original timeline
Tifagays…..
she has like 3 different moments of "bumping into" Cloud in Remake
unfortunate that they have zero chemistry
that's just the begginnig of the novel, if you read it fully you will see cloud isn't happy and they don't work out
>Cloud gets sick with space AIDS and becomes a delirious shut-in
it's the plot device required for Advent Children to happen
when he gets cured at the end of it he goes back to enjoying his life with his family
#t=393
Barret lives with them too, and cloud and tifa are still only called childhood friends in DoC
>Barret lives with them too
He was gone during AC and the most of the novellas before that. And why would Barret hanging out with his friends exclude Cloud and Tifa being together?
>cloud and tifa are still only called childhood friends in DoC
This is so the Clerithgays don't kill themselves/start firebombing S-E headquarters. It's obvious what's going on but they won't ever outright state it because of that.
show them kiss
I said kiss
If we go by Clerith logic them having their faces this close means something is happening, unless you agree that's moronic because the context is just them bumping into each other like in
I just want FF7 to stop pussying out of showing intimacy and really commit to this love triangle thing to the fullest
I'm not in charge of displays of intimacy in the FF7 IP, go tell Nojima to change it however you want it.
Fine, I will give him a call.
>inb4 the choices you make in the 3rd game will determine whether cloud ends up with tifa or aerith
this is the only way to make both parties happy although they wont do it. not to mention it'd be fricked if you romance aerith and cuck zack if the timelines really do merge.
Aerith is said to be "the girl engraved in clouds heart forever" in DoC, I don't think they needed to say that if they wanted the other side to be canon :P.
>"the girl engraved in clouds heart forever"
because of his guilt over her death
if she is supposed to be his lover then why is she in the lifestream hanging out with Zack while Cloud goes on picnics with Tifa and their kids instead of meeting her in the Promised Land?
none of that is happening
prove it
lol I thought he got rid of the guilt in AC?
That's like saying he's over Sephiroth after settling things at the end of FF7. The connection will always be there.
If the argument is he loves Aeris then the only way you're going to convince me is to show me where he declares his feelings the way he does towards Tifa in his subconscious and in
so they said Cloud carries Aerith in his heart, because of the guilt over her death even thought the whole point of AC (according to clotis) was Cloud getting rid of guilt over aerith? HIhi the denial is interesting. Okay, lets see what happens
Either make your argument for Cloud loving Aerith more than Tifa or continue being a hypocrite.
off-topic but I hate Rinoa so much it's fricking unreal
why
This. As much as I love Tifa, she just doesnt feel the right half for Cloud like Aerith is.
Minerva and Genesis are the only true heroes of the setting. Everyone else is a villain or their stooge.
DONT DENY ME
EMBRACE ME
I fricking love this version of the song, cant even imagine what they will do with Birth of a God.
For me, it's jenova absolute
Hopefully we get a real fight this time and not the disservice filler fight of the og
I'd assume one of them is still current Sephiroth controlling Jenova's body from the crater.
Yes that's the first one who we see for most of the game.
You sound mentally ill.
Sephiroth doesnt frick
he rapes
So safe to say the Jenova fights gets split in each parts? First one Midgar, second one boat, third one in the third game?
Depends on what jenova's role will even be in this trilogy. I hope she gets more, Jenova as a parasitic being that copies life was always very interesting.
there should be one at the very end of this part
You really think they'll keep Jenova as the final boss of Rebirth?
would be weird if they just ignore her fight from the original
While it makes sense narrative-wise. Jenova itself isnt that interesting as a last boss. If we fight someone/something in the context we expect, it needs to be more than just an alien. Something that evokes a feeling of "holy shit"
It could be a remake scenario where we fight her but then there is also something else after it.
I kind of hope so because on some level I worry it's Genesis
Genesis would be ludokino
If Genesis ever appears he would be a guide, he kinda redeems himself at the end of crisis core. I dont think they would ever bring him back to be a main villain.
But i would like to at least fight him in a battle simulator or something like that in this trilogy.
It's 4 parts
1 part in midgar is called jenova BEAT/PULSE
2 part is jenova birth
Then life
Then death
Original game tried to teach us a lesson
Dont let her sacrifice be in vain, anon. It’s time to log off
>waifuwar
I have a perfect vid for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hb3zSlp-qD4
Reminder that the Tifa hug scene is officially considered non romantic per the ff7r ultimanias. Read the red text and below carefully Tifagays
>non romantic
still more affection than Cloud's ever shown towards Aerith
Can't have hetero relationships in games or media anymore lest the children will screech muh diversity
How will the tifagays try and spin this in their favor?
Zack makes a huge deal out of giving Aerith something while Cloud needs to be reminded he even has a flower and simply grunts while handing it over. Whoever wrote that is either delirious or being coy about something else.
#t=943
>”you dont understand clerithgay, cloud is zack when he is with aerith and his real self is only shown around tifa!”
>cloud gives flower to tifa in manner similar to zack, and doesnt even initiate to give away the flower until tifa mentions it
>”see, cloud loves tifa”
So the player is Lavos and FFVII is actually a prequel to Chrono Trigger
if i take any of that serious (big if because who actually wrote that)
cloud really is a autisimo teen if not even psychotic
Yuffie wins, flawless victory
They could simply make Yuffie into a proper option.
replaying crisis core right now
I forgot how insufferable she is, her death is a good thing
CC butchered her personality
Looks like you just forgot it's a shit game as a whole
CC butchered aerith, but to be fair shes younger and more naive
Remake brought her back in all her Glory
The Aerith Tifa thing, why is it that there are two firm sides that clash to this day? Is it because Cloud never made a choice while they were alive?
OOooooOoOhhh
Not if I can stop you.
the only people who refuse that aerith is the canon love interest have probably never fallen in love themselves which is understandable. but when you see the dynamic that cloud and aerith have, as soon as they meet, you could immediately tell its love at first sight the way that shit is written. maybe not so much in the OG but remake makes it so blatantly obvious that cloud is head over heels for this woman
Well even if they favor cloud aerith a bit more it will still be vague enough to not be the only canon. There is no way we are getting some 100% confirmation.
>aerith is the canon love interest
see
What are people even arguing about in here anyway.
Idk just random shit. I wish this game was out sooner
Best Girl.
Every argument regarding FFVII has always actually boiled down to a fight over Best Girl.
Cloud's choices are actually made by the Player. Literally. Cloud really is mostly just a puppet with two sides (Player and Sephiroth/Jenova) wrestling for control while Cloud is caught in the middle. So it's the Player who influences Clouds words and relationships with others.
The name of that is rpg, brother.
bros
yea they are streaming it in Japan before rebirth releases.
I guess the big question is whether or not " (2024)" is part of the official title or not.
Definitely OG version. Besides I don't even know if we will see it in remake
Interesting
this definitely lowers the whole 'Aerith will just respawn in anothet timeline" chance
It might just be that person's translation, but the Japanese version sounds like a line that could have come out of the original game, whereas the English version sounds appropriate to the characters and writing we've seen with the remake. I wonder if we're going to actually see versions of characters from both timelines in this.
no, stop. aerith isn't goth
>What if aerith grew up without parents
i-isn't that what happened?
Cute.
best girl
This really is peak FF character visuals, no need to go further.
Dear anon, where is this one from?
lol it's from the game, her face is like that for one frame. Well at least in her garnet outfit mod
lol
I really thought it was weird because i didnt believe she makes that face.
>I’ll never have this
you want to make out with your mom??
Yeah
zamn
nice
>unnatural dead eyes
>unnatural skin texture
Do you really like ff7r prostitutes unironically?
Yes
>sometimes i don't even know who i am
WE ARE GETTING SCHIZO CLOUD KINO
At this point i dont doubt if we get a scene like this in this trilogy. Cloud wearing his AC outfit in this concept art.
Would be kino if we got this. Will be kino even if we don't but this would be kino.
AC's gear is so fricking cool.
hmm, that looks different than ac outfit. tattered cloak, shiny shoulder armor, buster sword looks different with some kind of wing looking design.
Could be a middle ground costume for the third game. Similar to his advent children costume but isnt really it.
If it looks as cool as this, i'm in.
If it doesn't, are you still in?
Dimitri looking motherfricker.
He looks like a character that would be in FF4. Nice.
>mask
What? Cloud isn't a Democrat! Why are they injecting politics into Final Fantasy?
I hope they made part 3 with that gloomy gothic atmosphere like in AC to contrast with part 2
Everything is so oversaturated nowadays I hate modern gaming so much
I like that remake uses so much of those big piles of brown rock and mud.
Totally the home of a girl who lived a hard life in the slums.
I never understood the argument that Aerith only liked Cloud because he looked like Zack, everything they had in common was super basic and their personalities were completely different.
Aerith says that herself. She surely believed he was weird because he had the same body language. But she says how they are so fricking different that she never got confused about their identities.
There are few characters as different as Zack and Cloud.
well shipper theories are usually pretty dumb anon
I find interesting how in the og game this hints about Zack and Cloud talking in similar ways, but this is something clearly abandoned because not even that is something that was kept. Seems like they went the route of both of them only sharing body mannerisms and being SOLDIER.
>written by Benny Matsuyama
Not canon. Dude admitted he was just bullshitting it himself
>But Squareenix approved
Only mean it's an official book, the doujin however is still not canon. It directly contradicted later works that made by Squareenix
Bentstudiostuff was ordered to write FF X-2 ultimania and a doujin by Square too. Once again, Benny was not part of dev team and didn't even know SquareEnix going to revive Tidus so he directly contradict the game.

cope, it's official guidebook. Utlimanias also aren't written by Nojima and are still canon
Does the movie ever explain what is this thread thing that tied to Cloud's left arm? Apparently, everyone in the main party has it too except for Vincent or maybe I just can't see it because he wears a cape
israeli kaballah
No but Nomura confirmed it was meant to become a crossover with Dragon Ball that ended up not happening. It symbolizes their loyalty to the Red Ribbon army.
In memory of Aerith.
a momento of aerith
...it's a Ribbon. Like, the accessory you get in the game that prevents a bunch of status ailments.
Then why did Cloud get mako aids?
Because he's gay.
presumably geostigma is caused by something the Ribbon cannot prevent
imagine just sitting on her face and resting your balls over her eyes
Aerith is for Zaxk's wiener
>time nannies again
I used to say they were dead and gone but now that they aren't I think it makes sense that they aren't and it's good even and anyone who thought they were gone or wanted them gone is an idiot.
I saw this post and knew Jimbo was monitoring the thread
Ask me what I thought of the Rebirth trailer again
No thanks
Why do you think nobody else talks about jimbo but you?
sephiroth controlls them now
fug it
op is gay. admit it.
her name is Aeris
His name is Sephiros
>those are actually Genesis' feathers
The gift of the goddess.
don't count on it, nig
They need to invite this mf to make a new song for Remake.
Dirge remake will happen so you will get it.
the best part of crisis core was genisis
I unironically agree, Genesis talked in riddles yet his actions made more sense than Zack's.
it sucks squenix didn't bring him back
Ff7 remake is just the evangelion rebuilds but for ff7. Every good thing about it is either lazily recreated for the sake of pandering, or "subverted." It even has the whole time loop bullshit that drags the original into it's moronic canon. Either her death is a fake out/hallucination and cloud saves her, or she comes back anyway.
>Ff7 remake is just the evangelion rebuilds but for ff7
Thanks, we had no idea
Genesis should kill cloud and become the protagonist
genisis is actually stronger, and more interesting than sephiroth.
no lies detected
Based. Nothing shall forestall his return.
Different teams. Different development philosophy
I will unironically be doing this. I'm already doing it now the whispers are confirmed back.
Genesis is the only good part of CC
Tifa's too much of a boring normie.
This is mean, Tifa deserves kindness.
If I wanted to interact with normies, I'd go outside.
no she's the most op character. especially if you max everyone out. if you hit every slot on her limit break, maxed out, and full stats. she hits Harder than both Cid, and knights of the round
Who cares about that? She's boring.
you're boring
tifa is literally the strongest character in the game
die
Peak cute girls here. Tifa booba pressing into Cloud's arm.
Tifa is on par with celes when it comes to end game strength
How does that even work.
disk 3 mideal
you need yuffie and her ultimate weapon with instant kill/ morph ability
give her death blow, 4x, and mimic
That works neither way. No matter how you look at it one is significantly stronger than the other. If compared normally Celes can normal attack sixteen times per turn. And in special cases Tifa can counter with a Mime-Limit Break eight times per enemy turn while Celes can Vanish-Doom you. And in the lore sense Tifa is a regular human actually an android,if we take X-2.5 ito account while Celes is a Magicite enhanced superhuman.
>"Tifa has a boring personality!"
>"No, she doesn't! She's strong! Strength is personality!"
>Literally the only character that actually interacts with cloud in a meaningful way
They should have killed him off instead and made her the mc
Tifa was the blueprint they built upon with Rinoa, then Garnet, then Yuna being the pinnacle
That's clearly aerith, are you baiting or moronic
Rinoa is nothing like Tifa, did you play ff8 at all.
sorry kid. you're officially moronic
Rinoa Squall is just Cloud Aerith happy ending
you spelled Aeris wrong.
did you even collect magazines?
>Tifa was the blueprint they built upon with Rinoa, then Garnet, then Yuna being the pinnacle
what
Rinoa is just Aerith, lol
You dont get it, anon. Black hair = Tifa.
If there is one heroine that is more similar to Tifa is Yuna, but Rinoa? lol
The FF fandom baffles me, really.
Saying that Tifa is the blueprint of rinoa is one of the craziest things ever.
tifa is actually the monk npc build for every ff game
It is probably the same time of person who says that every FF heroine is the same.
you're quoting homosexual morons who don't know how to allocate their stats
she is supposed to be generic semi-tomboy gf with kind hearted personality. Which is actually a better personality than: Disney princess that doesnt fit with the tone of the game so it was a wise decision to have the edgy villian to kill her b***h ass (Aerith)
I know because she shows more personality in Dissidia than in FF7.
trans cloud really with the worst take of all time
stfu homosexual
Had to be said.
>Xitter screencap
You have to go back
You read tvtropes dont you
I played almost all the games including dissidia
Tifa is a bland character but much less bland than Aerith. Aerith is a dumb b***h stuck in a cyberpunk story about doing industrial sabotage and shit. Shes literally peak moron tone deaf character design.
after playing this game a billion times, I wish I could save dyne, and put him on my team
Tifa is a maxed our "master". if you've played final fantasy games before then you'll know she is a monk
Would be kind of based if they kill her again or give the option to save her or Jessie and make the final remake a massive game based on who you save.
Jairus please
>part 2 has two separate campaigns one for cloud and one for nu-zack
>she lives in cloud's universe
>she dies in zack's universe
>zack joins cloud at the end of part 2
>nu-zack and aerith have a happy ending in part 3
titty monk master
How long until the FF7R is completed at last? I want my fricking FFVI 3D remake with voice acting so I can finally hear Relm talk outside of a fricking gacha, in english.
And spanish, if posible.
Rebirth won't have DLC, per the Game Informer article. No plans atleast right now. Playable Vincent and Cid will just be third game only.
>Vincent and Cid will just be third game only
They never said that
>sources
are you sure about pumping them up?
https://www.ign.com/articles/vincent-valentine-will-be-an-accompanying-character-in-final-fantasy-7-rebirth
X3 would likely be more nightmarium than copium, that was why I put it in spoilers
I see that name popping off from time to time, but Im not that much into DoC deep lore, I only know Weiss and a bit of Deep Ground.
https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Gackt
Keep up the amazing work
The likely thing is that R3 is coming out next year, but I wouldn't be surprised if they announce it then immediately follow up with an AC game and/or DoC remake that becomes the canon ending of the compilation.
If we get any more remakes, it will be the scale of whatever 9 turns out to be. HD2D, some chibi 3d shit etc.
>Part 3 is FF7: Redemption
Gackinot will be inevitable and inescapable
>vincent will become the main protagonist to stop genesis
my god, the signs were there all along. absolute kino overload incoming
?si=9j4KgBs-sDjgr91w
Tifa is closer to Sabine
Isnt it aeris, why do people call her aerith
It's supposed to be a form of earth but in jap, why would it be aeris
because her name was aeris
aeris is correct
Actually, it's Eris.
aerisu
Cancel out of that screen and see what happens :^)
just tried it, hitting cancel just deletes letters and hitting default just names her Aeris again
I love tifa. she is the only chocobo racer I choose.
she's fully competent
I still get pissed off thinking about this boss. What were they thinking
I dunno, I always use quadramagic or knights of the round.
yuffie > tifa > aerith
aerith is a dumb b***h that cant be traveling around a squad of warriors
>yuffie
hello my morph friend
this is the best I can do. I tifa is actually the best character in ff7
Im gay and have no stake in this but Aerith >> Tifa >>>>>> Yuffie.
Im 100% convinced that the only reason anyone likes Yuffie is because shes young looking.
>Im 100% convinced that the only reason anyone likes Yuffie is because shes young looking.
I do, yes.
yeah thats totally the taste of a homosexual that watches dinsey movies and highschool musical unironically.
shit taste.
If you want the annoying brat you can have her, but Im not the least bit envious of you.
learn how to play the game
I do believe Barrett has the most potential damaging move in the game, does he not?
barret only gets his ultimate weapon if you parachute into midgar after hey steal the canon
Dont think it matters with enough Hero Drinks. Will matter even less for Rebirth Im sure, Im gonna rock Barret, Red, and Cait Sith no matter what tier they are.
it does matter if you want to max out your characters. I agree though. he is the weakest
hojo is a homosexual cum sucking b***h. he's actually pretty EZ to beat
>I'm gay and convinced people only like things because they are, like me, pedophilic
Sounds like I struck a nerve.
I'm not gay, but I agree looks wise.
I do find yuffies personality a lot more fun then tifas tho
go morph yourself, gay
For me it was the grin and spunk. Aerith (10/10) > Tifa (10) > Yuffie (9.7) >>> NuAerith (8.2) > NuYuffie (7.7) >>>>>> NuTifa (0.002)
the gay has spoken if you dont have his taste in reverse you are not heterosexual you hold the same taste for women as a homosexual.
Therfore his order (in reverse) is the way to go.
Tifa is girl next door
Aerith is a more regal beauty, the kind nations fought wars over
How much would the game be improved if Barret was a military mommy woman instead. And removing Aerith from the game entirely ofc, she should be killed again imo.
>rip
final fantasy 7 is fricked. whatever happens to this game is fricking dumb.
true
NO WAY
The plot twist in the forgotten capital in rebirth will be that cloud kills aerith instead of sephiroth
nomurakino
sephiroth saves aerith from cloud
her name is spelled aeris
hang on, where is Zack alive again?
Don't be surprised if Genesis shows up and its all fricking moronic.
Aerith’s outfit utterly mogs Tifa’s here. Is this why Twitter troons were so mad?
Every new skin makes them mad for some reason. You have no idea the polemic that Aerith getting the Garnet skin created.
lol why do people take ever crisis seriously, it's just a fun gacha game (well fun for those who like this kind of stuff, I never got the appeal).
The turn-based combat, the elemental weaknesses, buffing/debuffing, the difficulty, different builds, lots of customization, lots of party members, plenty of resource management, weapon and materia upgrading and lots of grinding.
oh really, since it's mobile I just ignored it
As someone with more than 100 days in it, actually playing and engaging with EC is genuinely great fun.
The rei vs asuka of vidya.
>7 Remake is going well
>9 Remake is happening
>10-3 is around the corner

Sad
sad squall 🙁
it cheered me up
Ben Starr is going to single-handedly get us an FF8 remake. Don’t lose hope anon

10 is already perfect. Why the frick would they remake it?
Money
>remake
I thought it gets a sequel based on that shitty novel.
>He was right about Persona 3 remake in Xbox Showcase
>He was right about 7 Rebirth delay to 2024
Oh no
>7 Rebirth delay to 2024
Rebirth was not delayed, lol
Maybe it was meant to release on november/december 2023 and was internaly delayed till 2024 and that is the date they gave us idk
It's weird because they know 7R is the game people actually looking forward to unless they originally planned to release both games in the same year
I refuse to play an X-3, X-2 was bad enough
amongst other things, it was mainly the trailer focusing on aeriths date
so are they gonna do anything with fricking roche or what
Chocobo race battle
LETS PUSH IT PAST THE RED LINE
*Full throttle on the segway*
no one wants an FF8 remake because the ragnarok music segment is the most cringe thing Japan has ever made
It really sucks that I have to wait an extra year until the game drops on Steam, not using that epic garbage
Oh no no no no oh and advent children are about to all be a dream of the planet or some shit hahahahahhahahah
This is something that's all over the menus of FF7R. The tesselation is part of FF7's identity for a while.
It also appears when Cloud goes to The Edge of Creation at the end of Remake.
Nomuragay was right
The wild ride is never ends
It is not a digital effect, it is more like a dna simbolism. More like something that simbolizes the legacy of Sephiroth that lives through memories. How he's connected to Cloud.
And Remake reusing that tells you enough.
>More like something that simbolizes the legacy of Sephiroth that lives through memories. How he's connected to Cloud.
>And Remake reusing that tells you enough.
Yep. Remake is making it clear that they plan on going in a completely different direction to fight against the legacy of the og 7s story. Remember what nanaki and tifa say when they get glimpses of AC?
>A glimpse of tomorrow should we fail here today
>This cannot be our future
Puristgays have no one but themselves to blame of they are holding out hope for a 1:1 remake of the original
I'm curious about the game because i imagine it could go absolutely unhinged but i'm not 100% sure. Want to see what these dudes will pull off.
What's the difference between Gaia (The Planet) and Jenova?
Gaia is the planet and jenova is the parasite who wants to eat the planet. End.
>Gaia is an entity that inhabits The Planet, not The Planet itself.
Never heard about that, where is that ever said?
All I'm trying to do with this question
is essentially determine the nature of either theoretical entity.
That's actually what WEAPON is
>Gast
>Ifalna, can you comment on the thing called 'Weapon'?
>Ifalna
>Yes, Professor.
>The one the Professor mistook for a Cetra... was named Jenova. That is the 'crisis from the sky'.
>The Planet knew it had to destroy the 'crisis from the sky'...
>You see, as long as Jenova exists, the Planet will never be able to fully heal itself.
>Gast
>Back then, Weapon was a weapon the Planet produced of it's own will?
>Ifalna
>Yes, but... There is no record of Weapon ever being used.
>A small number of the surviving Cetra defeated Jenova, and confined it.
>The Planet produced Weapon... But it was no longer necessary to use it.
>Gast
>So, Weapon no longer exists on this Planet?
>Ifalna
>Weapon cannot vanish. ...it remains asleep somewhere on the Planet.
I just hope they fix his lame emotional except not really "sacrifice" and the wildly inappropriate timing of his return.
The entire temple scenario is going to be wild. Escheresque architecture, dodging donut rocks, the Time-Keeper and those purple guys.

Buying a PS5 for this likely piece of shit because Santa has been good to me this year.
>Taking DoC lore seriously
Are you ok, Anons?
We need a remake of this so fricking bad.
A 1:1 Remake like Crisis Core Reunion
How does DoC remake even work? Even if they revamp the game 70% of the cutscene is still filled with anime cringe like in that webm
>anime cringe
No such thing, you meant to type anime kino
FFVII Remake IS your DoC Remake. It's also a Crisis Core remake (Crisis Core Reunion is a remaster). They're literally rolling all of the Compilation of FFVII into Remake.
It's not a question of taking it seriously or not, it's just discussing video games.
It's not my fault FFVII is just a clusterfrick of unfinished story concepts left ambiguous all just to pretend there's more content than there really is. FFVII could have been six hours long if it just focused on one concept instead of having twenty different vignettes that get patched later by EU content, including an overpriced sequel trilogy.
>pssh nothin personal kid *teleports behind you*

Merry Christmas
>fufufu you thought you actually stood a chance this time around Tifa? I must thank Vincent for loaning me this. It's so much easier than time travel.
Tifa and Aerith should have sex
Tifa and Aerith should be wrestling against each other or as a tag team getting beaten by other ladies
Trust in Nomura
at this point I don't really care what they do with her, I'll enjoy the shitshow. story was already ruined with time janies, parallel universe plotlines and nomura's obsession with kingdom hearts.
Why can't western games have beautiful girls like her?
