the open world was very well crafted and it was fun to explore it, there were lots of weapons with cool reload animations but the balancing was way off. kind of wish ubi would tone it down with the female enemies though.

Every Far Cry game after 3 is just DLC for 3. If you disagree with this you are blind, deaf, and dumb. It's fine to enjoy them, but there hasn't been a new Far Cry in over a decade.

Not if you uninstalled 4 quickly. It's quite literally the exact same game. I think the one new thing 4 had was the grappling hook which they inevitably shoved into each game after it. It's all just camps, outposts, and bases - all with shitty AI. Someone might try to convince you that 3 has a great villain and he's so interesting and blah blah blah but guess what? That dude dies and gets replaced halfway through.

I don't know if this is a mean but Far Cry 3 is legitimately good and two is a close second. Far Cry 3 stands on the writing alone
Only one character is well developed, and they managed to ruin everything in the middle of the game.
Hoit is a shitty villain but the game is still outstanding in regards to world building, gameplay, writing, music ect
