Every game has been worse than the last for over a decade now.
They were pretty good, I think people pretend otherwise due to contrarianism over the dexcut, but I can't even tell what pokemon are missing without looking it up. I mean, you played it for at least 20-30 hours, right? Did you seriously play something you hate for that long? I doubt it.

Like, normally the complains overshadow everything else and you have to wait years to get a decent amount of people defending a game, but SV, with its characters, open word, use of the legendaries, mysteries and multiples stories have universaly praised.
The only recurrent complain about the game is the performance, which does suck. The rest? Better than SwSh in nearly every single sense.
I don't care about the performance at all, I just wish we had dicky dress-up simulator again like in swsh, but I don't think either are even remotely bad games. I have too much self awareness to pretend a game i played for dozens of hours wasn't enjoyed.

Galar is not my favorite region and SwSh is not my favorite game. But I will defend Galar and SwSh because they get too much hate, because of the Dex Cut.

It being open world already put it leagues of ahead of SWSH. Is it refined? No but gen 8 felt like a 3DS game at best

Open World sucks ass for Pokemon. It's yet another reason why Galar is better than Paldea (I do like Kitakami tho)
The way better stories makes up for a lot of its faults and lets face it, SS is held up almost entirely by its DLC, not its base game.
