I was put off by the psedo steampunk setting since I'm not a fan of that, but they pulled it off ! Was in love with this game and greatful that the Daud's expansion packs existed
still haven't played II but I'm being told its trash compared to the OG

imo Daud's DLC is on par with the base game and arguably even better in some levels. I've never heard anyone say it's trash.

2 was great in terms of gameplay but story was awful. the dlc for 2 was trash tho
I think two is worse in terms of writing and worldbuilding but the level design and art design are still really good. Gameplay is mostly an improvement too aside from some weird bugs. It also got shit on at launch for poor performance but that isn't really an issue these days. I think it's worth playing if you just want more dishonored levels.

Its a shame D2 kinda took a shit on the coloring of the world. D1 felt alot more vibrant
D2 still had amazing graphics, just different, more grounded and realistic. The character models were much better at least.
