thats because they turn off achievements if you have mods enabled and most people play stellaris like they play the sims and have a bunch of nsfw sex mods enabled all the time and only do coomer playthroughs
>and no mods
cosmetic mods like advisors and music won't block you from achieves. but i guess everyone gotta have the waifu civ ship mods which cuck achievs.
every Ganker stellaris thread reminds me of the one post about the guy who set up a game with only a devouring swarm and an all female human empire so he could execute his vore fetish and then he got cucked because the geico geckos were released and killed all the women
You can't win in Stellaris because Stellaris is absolutely fricking boring to hell to even want to finish it/get to the crisis phase 400 - 500 years later. 95% of the time you will be micromanaging, passing time, and simply existing if you are not a fanatic purifier or devouring swarm. I remember watching a guy play this game as an Inward Perfectionist who are xenophobe pacifists and throughout the entire game was only attacked/went to war twice even on the highest Admiral difficulty.
The only highlight of Stellaris is making some crazy empire concept which makes the fun for you by you, be it Angler rock people who live in communes and provide fish for the galaxy, a race of pig people who live in a warrior like civilization with a clan council, and le Imperium.
Even 200 is too long if you don't play on the max galaxy generation size or increase tech costs honestly. "Midgame" being 100 years in is funny, do they expect you to be at repeatables+50 tier in tech by the actual endgame?
Nah, seems fine to me, you get into mid/lategame technologies by the time midgame crisis hit and will be hitting repeatables shorty atfer endgame crisis spawn (if set down to 2275 and 2325, with 2400 being enddate).
Mid sized galaxy since it's the only one which runs reasonably fast. Scaling difficulty (grand admiral) tethered to midgame date.
I am just pissed off cuz I don't win, and I'm not important in the galatic senate and if i play genocidal people manage to put an end to my machine menace.
That's just you being shit then. Purifiers/devourers get such absurd combat bonuses you have to be afk to not be able to start snowballing immediately.
If you can't btfo the khan by the time he shows up as anyone you're also afk. I usually never even have him spawn because I take out the marauders beforehand for being annoying.
run this envoy shit, even after the nerfs to how envoy works its still moronic strong, you can pretty much vassalize all your neighbours, put them all in a federation and watch as they wage war and invite others into your federation, get the militaristic federation thing and they will pretty much keep you supplied with fleets.
Game really should have been more inwardly focused and dealing with internal politics and disent as your empire expands and runs into new ideas that need new resolutions instead of just being Europa Universalis in Spehss
As far as being an actual GAME Endless Space 2 does what Stellaris does without the massive downtime. Plus having factions with actual character goes a long way.
You pick you ship loadouts when you design them and then basic strategy when battle starts to determine how your ships will advance and then the AI does the rest. Its pretty much Stellaris combat but with an added layer of input that gardly matters.
So what is the best way to design ships? Normally in solo play I just let the game auto-design, but in a few online games with others they state that auto-design is terrible. Are there specific weapons or something I should focuse, or what?
it varies between patches but currently missile spam seems the way to go. Anything works for the AI since only the crises specialize their ships to any degree.
There's always some meta. Lasers/Kinetic are better against armor/shields and missiles can just destroy stuff since they bypass shields, but missiles can be interrupted if your enemy is fielding point defense since they have actual travel time. I think Destroyers are still worthless since they don't offer enough stat lift over corvettes? You don't have to care against the AI of course.

The game plays out worse the longer it goes on and that's why most people abandon the game before reaching a win condition. Worse lag, more shit to manage.
less than 6% of the players have done it on steam
No one who enjoys stellaris cares about cheevos or even winning. It's never been the point really.
can't really win when the game runs at a snail's pace past year 100.
star eaters at year 2300 say otherwise.
I have 900 hours and not a single achievement
thats because they turn off achievements if you have mods enabled and most people play stellaris like they play the sims and have a bunch of nsfw sex mods enabled all the time and only do coomer playthroughs
>NFSW mods for stellaris
Wouldn't it just be mostly events without any animation?
No achievements unless you have ironman mode on and no mods

hive mind with the drones origin is absurdly powerful, or at least it was months ago
>lithoid devouring swarm
>not a terravore
wtf? you don't like za meatball?
It's terravore but the UI doesn't update until I am inside the game

>having the crisis take that long to show up
Sounds like a settings issue.
300 years is simply to long when you get repeatable technologies halfway in.
This is why you reduce it to 200.
Even 200 is too long if you don't play on the max galaxy generation size or increase tech costs honestly. "Midgame" being 100 years in is funny, do they expect you to be at repeatables+50 tier in tech by the actual endgame?

The only point to playing Stellaris is the crazy stories that come out of playing Stellaris.
fighting wars against generic empires and genociding their generic pops isn't very crazy after the dozenth time
I am just pissed off cuz I don't win, and I'm not important in the galatic senate and if i play genocidal people manage to put an end to my machine menace.

More like the game cheating. if khan goes after you you lose your fleet
If you can't btfo the khan by the time he shows up as anyone you're also afk. I usually never even have him spawn because I take out the marauders beforehand for being annoying.
i literally cant play anything that isnt devouring swarm
how do i git gud
laboratories, laboratories and a sprinkle of laboratories
try a xenophile envoy build, its just moron to make everyone your vassal and curbstomp them by denouncing idiots.
No, when I play peaceful Im never important in the galatic senate.

No, this hysterical robot as a new run now
well, i suppose the tomb world habitability is a nice perk.
for who robots already have perfect habitability everywhere
good point iam moronic.
>game gets laggier the longer it goes
>the contingency is trying to stop this
kino?
contigency is thematically the best crisis, iam kinda bummed out that they focus so much on shroud Black folk.
>game gets laggier the longer it goes
Lag? What's that?
Game really should have been more inwardly focused and dealing with internal politics and disent as your empire expands and runs into new ideas that need new resolutions instead of just being Europa Universalis in Spehss

i supported ES before it was released, got a massive floppy wiener when space combat turned out to be a card game.
does ES fixes that or is still card game?

past run i lost a good planet in first war
this soured me on aliens and i just want a win to stop playing
btw, fully xenophobic now.
Galactic paragons was the final straw for me. Haven't played much since.
>picks Become the Crisis
Nothing personnel homie
I wonder if you can become the crisis as a pacifist. I know you can't be to take the perk but what happens if you shift ethic to pacifist afterward?
God I love Authoritarianism.
>Are you winning son?
HNGHHHHHH MOD? SOURCE?
Stellaris Sexy Xenos and some other mods, but it's an old screenshot.
>SSX

Cool, thanks
