Friendly reminder that FFXIV is a CONSOLE GAME first and foremost. It is impossible to equate it in quality to WoW, a traditional PC game, because it fundamentally cannot be a mechanically complex and challenging game due to prioritising console shitters.
There isnt much in WoW that cannot be replicated on console.
there were obvious limitations when it came to maps but thats about it.
FF14 is just sterile and lame in a game design sense. literally nothing stopping the devs from adding some cool flavor shit like mind control, water walking or warlock portals. They are even going into the opposite direction and keep deleting situational tools like crowd control stuff.
FF11 was a console game with even greater limitations but you could do way more interesting shit in that game.
It's not the fault of any console, it's the fault of the devs for making a game hamstrung by console limitations. FFXIV doesn't have PvE or PvP that can measure up to WoW because everything has to be designed around a 8 button controller rotation. There is no mechanically complex class in FFXIV compared to rogue or mage.

Friendly reminder that FFXIV is a CONSOLE GAME first and foremost. It is impossible to equate it in quality to WoW, a traditional PC game, because it fundamentally cannot be a mechanically complex and challenging game due to prioritising console shitters.
There isnt much in WoW that cannot be replicated on console.
there were obvious limitations when it came to maps but thats about it.
FF14 is just sterile and lame in a game design sense. literally nothing stopping the devs from adding some cool flavor shit like mind control, water walking or warlock portals. They are even going into the opposite direction and keep deleting situational tools like crowd control stuff.
FF11 was a console game with even greater limitations but you could do way more interesting shit in that game.

It's not the fault of any console, it's the fault of the devs for making a game hamstrung by console limitations. FFXIV doesn't have PvE or PvP that can measure up to WoW because everything has to be designed around a 8 button controller rotation. There is no mechanically complex class in FFXIV compared to rogue or mage.
