this looks like an ai image. >weird clock/watertower >fake looking house >shitty out of place sparkles in the sky >art style of the pigs is different than the main character, and they look like a cross between barnyard commandos and garfield and friends >unrealistically small stream >werther's original candies on the ground
i know nothing about this game but based purely off this cover, im imagining you control the pink haired guy and you are some type of farm hand or animal wrangler working for some wealthy family. platforming and jumping on enemies.
Probably looks like that because it was slapped together by whoever, using whatever assets they had lying around. Part of that background is from the original cover, pic related, only there it is consistent with the clay modeled look. God knows why they couldn't just use that, like in the European release.
If I was on ket I would be 100% convinced the US cover was AI generated even though the timeframe doesn't work out.
>Huge part of the first game is learning to swim >Can't figure out how to make engaging puzzles without water being a hazard again >"Uhhhh, he can't swim again because uhhh, he nearly drowned in the intro and that traumatized him! Yeah, that's it. Nevermind that he was the one who willingly jumped into the water." >Never regain the ability to swim again, have to rely on items this time
Yeah no
Also: >Have a mechanic where you can import your Tomba 1 save to do some additional quests for 100% completion >It's not just simply having a Tomba 1 save, but relies on you having completed specific quests in 1 >One of those quests is one of two quests in all of Tomba 1 that is permanently missable >It's also very easy to accidently and permanently frick it up from normal exploring hours before you are supposed to actually get it
They dropped the ball hard. Why the frick would you even make two of the 130 quests in Tomba 1 missible? And if you did that, by accident or on purpose, why in the everliving FRICK would you make those one of the required quests to have completed to 100% Tomba 2?
The first game was fun from start to finish. The second game had a promising start but fell off HARD about halfway through. It suffered from the same problem a lot of these games have in that the rewards you get for exploring the map thoroughly feel fricking pointless. This was especially true for the secret unlocks, which weren't that fun to use because they added basically nothing to the gameplay.
Also, the English voice acting was fricked-- completely fricked. They left a literal outtake in the final version kek:
0:27 for the moment when it became clear someone wasn't being paid enough to care.
A finnish translation can happen sooner than you think
The folks at Tomba Club Discord are actively hacking both games and a text editor is almost done
They changed the name
The game sucks and Webkinz is better
his arms wide
HIS EYES OPEN
It gets a bit tedious at points and the boss battles are boring.
It's good but it feels like they ran out of ideas around the halfway point. The story is also corny but it at least has more of a plot than Bubsy has.
the pigs are evil
I love this series and would give my left nut for a sequel
Funny funny guy.
This.

You're right, it does look kinda AI generated.

NA cover is better.
cope
ugly
Low effort bait, small time thinker.
asiago cheese bagel
becareful, janny might give you a warning
sequel is better
>plays way slower and floatier
>conversations are slow and plodding because of the VA
Not fricking likely. The only thing it has going for it is more interesting locales to visit. But the first game plays way better.
the only game that i couldnt get to work on the mod chipped ps1 back in the day. i dont know if it had some sort of copy protection or what.
Wanted to replay it out of nostalgia and dropped it before finishing it.
Man I just couldn't keep up with the never ending side quest and the water temple was ass

For some reason they called these games "Tombi" in Europe.
The "a" makes it sound feminine in latin languages
o i c
tomba makes it sound more masculine actually
In my country, names ending with A are pretty much always feminine, like Alexandre (male) -> Alexandra (female) but for I it's mixed Rémi (male).
>I don't know who this Tomba is but she sounds like a girl plus she has long hair on the cover.
"Tomba" means "tomb" (literally a grave) in Italian
the only flaw is that i really need you to stop talking
Actually, the game should be called Tonba. Ton is the Japanese word for pork.
Basically is, トンバー. Japanese word for pork is 豚肉.
Caveboy is not nude and presumably not circumcised.
thank god for that.
I can't. But I can post some sweet screenshots.
Those are the sweet places of my youth.
Thank you
Bad marketing.
I've never heard of it.
Both games are dripping with soul, except for Zippo. Zippo is a complete frickwit and didn't need to be in the game at all.
Ask me how I know you are a zoomer?
It was rushed as hell
it was even translated to some rarer languages such as dansk and svensk. i wish it got a finnish translation too as a finnish person
