I didn't like it. It's like they designed this game in a way that requires you to dedicate your life by spending huge amount of hours in it in order understand basic things like the story and how to do side quests.
Let me tell you: It's not worthy. Books have much better stories and there are other games with better quests.
Beside the nice visuals and cool combat there's not much into it.
Time is something that you waste and you can't get it back. So value it and go do something more fun than waste your time with a pretentious game. Otherwise, a few years into the future you will look back to it and feel sad by your decision of wasting time into such shit hyped game.
>cool combat
I didn't find the input delays very cool.
I beat it twice and dont give a shit about the story. And i even didnt know it had sidequest. Thank you Myadzaky. 99,9% of games would be better without story and sidequests
This was clearly a money laundering operation for the holding company of from. That game never swallowed 150m in development. They just pocketed company funds into their own pockets. From announced 6 new ips. Kek.
>understand basic things like the story and how to do side quests.
Reading item description of the relevant quest items literally tell you what to do and fuction like a quest log.
Most of them are very obvious shit.
>find woman with a missing arm
>find prostetic arm
>gee, I wonder what this means
>Oh look a cool castle, I wonder what is the story
Enters the Eldenbeta to chat
> Hi normie, to undertand the story of this castle you need to read every item description, grind for new itens to get more description, and look around trying to match the scenario with the description in order to understand it
Yeah dude I will sure spend hours of my life to studying all those shit things to discover the story of a castle in a videogame
Aparently, these types of quests with obvious key items are way too much somehow.
Maybe stick to games with constant quest 24/7 markers and item fetch lists plus an npc on the radio telling you what you're suposed to be doing.
Why are FromDrones so insecure?
Yeah I'm so glad item descriptions helped me on where to find Patches' 10 different locations that he teleports off to for no reason or explanation whatsoever
ok
you assume people are playing it because it's hyped or the story, false. im playing it because it's fun
>Beside the nice visuals and cool combat there's not much into it.
So besides it being a 10/10 action game with fantastic build variety, 10 level design and 10/10 bosses, it's kind of meh.
Elden Ring is a 5/10 at best. Marketing shills worked overtime for this one and a few low IQ Gankerirgins took the bait.
Buy an ad shill
Very obvious upset tendie.
>filtered by margit
LOL. Sorry you wasted your only 60 dollars of the month on a game you aren't fit to play!
>Implying I bought elden shit
Nope pirated and uninstalled after an hour. The game is garbage, fromdrone
Lmao, he didn't even get to Stormveil.
Literally 1% into the game and he got demolished and quit like a b***h.
Holy shit this is great. I bet you quit after dying to tree sentinel a couple times right?
imagine being filtered by the knight, holy shit
>game is fun but story bad
story gays must perish
you're wasting your time expending energy complaining about a game that wastes your time on Ganker. by your logic you could argue that every game is a waste of time, but you being here at all outs you as someone who likes games and enjoys having their time wasted by them
I've spent a lot of my life believing that it's wrong to be arrogant about your intelligence and assume things about others but absolute fricking morons like you are really starting to change my mind
How the frick is any of this game hard to understand if you can read a fricking "book?" Name 10 you read last year you fricking neanderthal.
Look it up then? Soulsborne games are designed to be played multiplayer - with the in-game notes and summons helping you out, or other players invading you to hinder your progress - and a very large part of that includes gathering info, and sharing it with other players who may not know it. Like when you were a kid and you and your friends all had the same single player game and you exchanged tips on where to find good weapons and strategies against bosses. By design, it's not expecting you to figure everything out by yourself, but to tackle the challenges with other players. It's part of the experience, being on Ganker when the game launched and everyone was sharing tips on NPC storylines, boss weaknesses, "I did this and that happened", "Holy shit guys that location" etc and where to find weapons was great.
>reddit spacing
Anyways obviously a video game story would pale in comparison to that of a novel, that's only natural. What sets Elden Ring apart is how it tells its story, that's the whole appeal. Video games shouldn't try to be films or novels and Elden Ring certainly doesn't.
Didn't play ER, I stopped playing from software game with DS3.
I got locked out of Siegward, Patches and fricking Greirat because of one step went wrong, I guess. That's probably half of NPCs in the game, two of them being merchants lmao
You can't get locked out of Patches unless you kill him.
And for Greirat if he dies early you just can't buy Lighting Urns, everything else you can find as random drops.
And you never lose them as mearcheants even if you kill them because you can use their ashes and can buy everything they sell from the hag.
Patches never appeared at the Cathedral or Firelink, and Siegward wasn't in the well. I stopped playing after Irithyll, so I don't know how it would've continued.
Patches always appears at Firelink after killing Deacons.
Well he should've, but didn't
>latergame areas require over 75IQ.
How so? They didn't seem like that to me when I played them.
fromsoft games don't require more than 80 iq
they just take good memory, and reflexes
I bet your favorite games are assassins creed
So you stopped before even getting to the half way point?
Probablty for the best, latergame areas require over 75IQ.
I played more than 200 hours of this shit game till I realized that I was forcing myself to enjoy it.
The game is basically quantity over substance.
The game is shit. I had more fun playing keroblaster recently than this shit game.
I really enjoyed how they managed to mesh input delay, input dropping, and input queueing together
Game of the generation, it's not a surprise why there's like 10+ upcomming high profile souls clones on steam.
>they're still seething 1.5 years later
cope obsessed fromdrone
you are the ones still making threads for a game you never played
and then you wonder why you are universally hated outside of your little discord clique
it's some snoi. these fricking people always start console wars.
what are you talking about? every tendie has a pc ya boner.
wrong, a tendie that uses a PC to play games isn't a tendie at all, but an idort
idorts are respectable people, tendies are not
you know you can play Nintendo games for free on pc, right? fricking homosexual
of course i do, i've done so
so you are also a tendie
no, i'm not a mindless corporate slave
that's on you buddy. at least you admit to shilling.
frick are you even babbling about?
I need to fix my glasses. I can't read shit
oh I thought you said you "were" a mindless corporate slave. my bad. elden ring is still a pretty good fricking game.
it's a normal size game. the cool thing about it is the replay-ability and different weapons and play styles. elden ring is almost as ez as dark souls 2.
>Beside the nice visuals and cool combat there's not much into it.
So, besides a good videogame?
Cool bait, homosexual. Now go read a book.
You may not like it, but this is what peak level design looks like.
I hate you
if you squint you can almost see the sub 20 fps
dark souls is a good game. I still hate that fricking place
it's correct. these games take primal instinct. it's sad the people complaining about them are fricking butt hurt cucks who never actually beat the games.
>cool combat
yeah... definitely not why i dropped the game
Games fulfill the void real life has anon may be right it's a good game just not a good game (For You)
OP is a homosexual
It was ok, I got bored 40 hours in. They shouldn't have bothered with an open world that is so empty and lifeless, but most open world games do that so it's not egregious.
>shazamtrannies STILL crying over a year after release
GOTY: The Return!!!
