I just worry they'll tone down Ghetsis and I love that psychopath the way he is.

They made him worse for USUM so I doubt they'll tone him down.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that. That's hopeful at least.

The issue was that Lusamine was popular, so they dialed the frick back on her. Ghetsis isn't that kind of popular, so he should be allowed to run rampant in evil.

according to gf they literally arent. Lusamine gets retconned in both USUM and the anime.

I don't get it. What do you like about him? Or gen 5's story in general? Any... moments that stand out, or something?

While people like to point at the Munna scene as bad (Which it is, from the lens of adults), the game at least makes an attempt at nuance in the villain team.
By the end, if you're reading the dialogue of the Plasma Grunts in N's Castle, there are some that genuinely thought they were doing a good thing.
Ghetsis is presented as a charismatic person that can talk people around like that.
It's absolutely baby's first RPG story and all, but within the mainline games before it, there's not much contest for a good story.
Gen 7 does something similar with it being mostly just the boss that's "evil" rather than the entire team, while obfuscating that with Team Skull existing.
Gen 8 and 9 more or less move away from having an evil team, of much evil at all.

I like Ghetsis because he's unapologetically evil and owns it. Nearly every antagonist in this series is either a tragic, misunderstood victim or a idealist that wants to make things "better." Or both. Him and Giovanni are the only antagonists that are just evil. But while USUM and Masters tries to retcon Giovanni as the ultimate "according to keikaku" mastermind villain, when he was originally a straightforward mobster at best, Ghetsis was already a deprived psychopath manipulator and it's fun to see his antics.

This. I like that he is so comically evil and psychotic in my little game about cute fighting monsters. Also, his relationship with N is so insane and abusive that it rolls around to hilarious again. Can you imagine growing up around this guy and his stupid robes? What was daily dinner like Ghetsis being Ghetsis and N being an oblivious sperg? It just amuses the hell out of me.

They already did a side story in the gacha where N thinks he can be fixed. He cant

Which really goes to show that when oeople say B3W3, they mean B2W2 with a coat of paint.

Guess it's a generational thing. I'm looking forward to BW remakes, to see the utter meltdown autistic adult humans are going to throw when it's an ILCA-tier, non-sequel retread of their childhood in 3D.
Unless you're actually as old as Methusela, don't try and speak for people older than you. We're not your mother, thus don't have a vested interest in keeping mummy's little starshine happy.

Yeah, I don't get the people who think that they're going to make a sequel to 11 year old games.

Inironically, changing how they named the rehash is to blame. If they'd gone ahead and call it grey, we wouldn't have those autistic wastes thinking it was somehow different to Platinum, Emerald and Crystal. Alas, they did and even outright stating it was just a rehash in the video explaining how they were killing rehashes in favour of DLC didn't impact those shitheads' thick skulls.

If we get a 1:1 remake of BW/BW2 I would actually be extremely happy. I never wanted a sequel to a 11 year old game (the very idea is moronic) that will no doubt be a water down and stripped of all side-content the original games had. A unova Legends game would be the dream as well, since I actually enjoyed PLA alot. The Idea of BW3 is one of the dumbest things people could ask for.

I want both. A remake compilation of the first two games and a very short sequel that reads almost like a side-story/tech demo for the next Pokemon game a la Kingdom Haerts 0.2 Birth by Sleep A Fragmentary Passage.

Just kidding. I want it to be a bit more of a fricking game than that.
