Anyone who played KH after the first one is brain damaged and deserves a Nomura/Nojima story. Just like the people who keep buying Final Fantasy games on brand name.

It's causing brain damage due to the depth and intricacies of the writing. This is the deepest video game series ever created.

It is deep. Does that mean it's a masterpiece of writing? Hell no. But man is it deep.

I'm convinced the only people complaining about Nomura and Nojima storytelling are people who don't play all the games and thus are missing critical information or simply people that are genuinely too fricking stupid to understand the simple to understand narrative (as long as you played all the games in order).

KH's plot went full moron starting with BBS
I could forgive all those plot holes that were introduced in KH2, because the series (as is, Sora's story) could be easily wrapped up right there, but instead it continued and jumped the shark several times.
At this point it's just a dumb shounen with Disney filler (because Disney can no longer be relevant to main plotlines) full of bad tropes. And the cast is so goddamn bloated by now (fantastic idea to add 6 new characters per mobile game, Nomura) thanks to "nobody dies in Blea- I mean KH" rule that I can't even care about most of new characters - they become irrelevant by the time new batch get added and go into oblivion.

    >51 and unmarried
    >Obsessed with Harajuku fashion
    >Every game is about a dude and his close male friends crying over eachother
    >Female characters all look the same and have the emotional depth of wallpaper
Nomura is most certainly autistic and/or a closeted gay

I am a Kingdom Hearts lore sage, specializing in the Age of Fairy Tales saga. What don't you get?

Just the Union Cross X. Even after watching all the videos it feels strange still.

Yes, that is not a simple thing to sum up. The whole KHX/UX saga is very dense on information, with many subplots happening simultaneously or relying on the player to make inferences after analysis in order to determine the true events that really happened. Speculation was wild and rampant and because the game was updated simultaneously with other console releases the story would update to reflect the wealth of new information gleaned from those new releases.

So what precisely are you confused about?

He's just a concept artist with some ideas. I dont know why Square leans so heavily on him for storytelling when they could hire REAL writers. I think Nomura was just one of the few left after the merge so he jumped up a few notches and got lucky a bunch of times. The guy has never been that good of a writer ever. Even FF7 was written by others like Kitase, it's barely *his* game.

Nomura has been writing for Square games since FF6. He wrote all of Shadow and Setzer’s dialogue in 6.

Union X's plot feels unreal compared to the rest of Nomura's writing, you want me to believe that Nomura went all out and make actually a great plot and setup for future events in a fricking mobile game?

Is there a video that compiles all of the plot-important cutscenes while skipping the disney filler?
