/v/ermin shit on final fantasy 15 and forspoken, then turn around and praise final fantasy 16 even though it continued what both of those games were trying to do >why? Because it was made by a MMO guy and all of them started with the shitty mmo.
The titan fight is the most God of War thing since God of War 3 and was the best moment in any game, all year, IMHO.
shame the rest of the game (outside of Bahamut obviously) is nowhere close to that level
but anyone who says ff16 sucks clearly did not get to titan as it's a 100% 10/10 experience
yeah, i basically enjoy it as spectacle movie game like god of war 1-3 or asura's wrath, except artistically i find it extremely dull and i dont really give a shit about the characters at all. i'm rushing through the story.
It's time to put this real-time style for Final Fantasy to bed.
I'm not saying bring back sprites or anything but it's been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that turn-based combat with random encounters still sells to the JRPG fan demo with the runaway success of other games like Octopath.
Nah. The demo was legitimately interesting and good.
It's why you even get the sort of legitimate criticisms of the game that we do (outside of obvious shitposters who never touched it). Because a lot of people were tricked by the demo.
The story stays good until Ultima gets introduced, Cid dies, and the second timeskip. Then it falls apart with the eikon bosses being the only thing carrying the game.
by baiting people with a hook in the demo that gets undone 5 minute after the demo ends rendering anything the demo did pointless only after the fact, retroactively making the intro worse than it would have been otherwise
it's a great step in the right direction after a number of shit entries and missteps, it's a solid 8/10 and return to form plus the story isn't total dog shit
Asmongold loved it and praises the hell out of it for whatever reason, but I think that's because he hates turn-based games and loves action slop.
I honestly think the FF14 people sucking up to Asmon and actually giving a shit what that goblin wants actually helped ensure they only put out complete shit. Even put in a little Easter Egg to him in the Criterion Dungeon they added, since those were his idea he brought up to them
It's on playstation
It's really not praised as much as you think it is.
That's what I was thinking.
I can explain any specific praise you've heard. I can also explain criticism if you want.
I've beaten it twice and the DLC.
I don't really see much praise for it, or hate, or discussion of any kind really
What a weird contrarian thread
It's the first game with the Final Fantasy name attached to it that isn't horrible.
Japanese tries to make western movie games and this is the best attempt they have now.
I don’t think Ive seen more spectacle in a boss fight in any other game than this.
God of war 3 intro>
True, but that was like 25 min at top
So was titan and i dont have to buy garlic after killing poseidon
homie, GOW3's intro is like 1 boss of 5 in FF16
Stop making a fool out of yourself
Nope its half game cause titan arc its the most longest and worse part of the game
Exactly what I was thinking with the Poseiden fight, but not quite like Titan or Bahamut
/v/ermin shit on final fantasy 15 and forspoken, then turn around and praise final fantasy 16 even though it continued what both of those games were trying to do
>why? Because it was made by a MMO guy and all of them started with the shitty mmo.
Because you don't play videogames.
>Gankerermin shit on final fantasy 15 and forspoken, then turn around
Its obviously just bait you tryhard tourist
This
People have gotten so brainwashed by yoshida theyll eat anything that comes out of his ass
Asura's Wrath? Sonic Frontiers?
ashuras wrath mogs 16

As others have said, asura mogs the frick out of it
Nobody praises it
it flopped
>praise
Well, I am pretty sure you're not a dev so why should you?
Someone praised it? Source?
This could be one of my favorite jprg if hard mode was from the beginning
>braindead zoomer's favorite game is the one made for braindead zoomers
You dont say?
There is extremely minimal praise for it. Most people agree it's subpar in every single area
What praise

The Demo.
The Demo was an amazing cinematic experience that drew people in.
The actual game is past the demo is... not.
When it's praised, it's largely people praising the demo.
The demo was only praised by paid streamers to garner the zoomer demographic
Nah. The demo was legitimately interesting and good.

clive is such a dogshit nothing character
>the demo was the only good part of the game
How did they get away with it.
by baiting people with a hook in the demo that gets undone 5 minute after the demo ends rendering anything the demo did pointless only after the fact, retroactively making the intro worse than it would have been otherwise
There's been praise?
it is a 8/10 game
it's a great step in the right direction after a number of shit entries and missteps, it's a solid 8/10 and return to form plus the story isn't total dog shit
What praise? All I see is people saying it's shit.
Asmongold loved it and praises the hell out of it for whatever reason, but I think that's because he hates turn-based games and loves action slop.
