I wonder if they ever do an alternate form for Arceus if it'll take influence from the beta placeholder sprite. Could be cool. Totally inane comparison but it makes me think of Galactus in the Fantastic Four films where instead of him just being a giant guy in purple it's more of a giant cosmological formation that vaguely resembles a humanoid being.
it looks like palkia stuck on the body of a horse, armless and with a muzzle.
Basically palkia punished by arceus, and so does dialga.
Its not exactly ugly, but its anything but what palkia shouldve ever been. Arceus is a monster
That's honestly why I like it. Looks Grecian which fits with the aesthetic of Spear Pillar.
I think a lot of people had huge kneejerk reactions over it. We got datamines of the new pokemon that didn't have the full texturing/lighting and they looked like shit. Palkia and Dialga look worlds better in their official artwork than they do in PLA.
Origin Dialga might look a bit better in art but I think it's still really awkward looking in a way that doesn't really seem inspired by anything, just like they took base Dialga and went 'frick his shit up lol'.
that would be an arceus in its most crippled form
It doesnt even look like it has a soul
I couldnt care less about the placeholder designs having a place in the game, but I am really curious about their story. Before seeing eternatus's placeholder, i wouldnt have guessed it was a fishbones. They made a 3d model of a placeholder lol. It definitely looks like way more than just a placeholder to do things fast. Knowing also how indirect and subliminal gamefreak is

I don't personally care all too much, I just don't like the argument their origin forms attempt to be more like arceus, while origin giritina doesn't have much likeness to him besides a slight gold accent similarity, and has a tail...
I can be more controversial and say i would have preferred more of an origin form kyogre/groudon look, we kinda got it anyways with explorers of darkness/time/sky.
same. shame we didn't get origin arceus
Because that's impossible. Play gen 4 before demanding impossible things from gen 4 characters
you idiot, i played every gen 4 game. Mew can still make an Origin Arceus
Lmao. Now replay them with a working brain. Full arceus would mean the multiverse stops existing, as well as almost everything in it
i have an IQ over 140 and i just 100%'d both platinum and heartgold and did the sinjoh ruins event.
Mew can still make an Origin Arceus, idiot
Mew can only evolve into something similar to arceus like stantler
wrong. go play gen 3 zoomer, it's all explained at faraway island
whats explained? mew didnt exist before arceus
mew dex number - 151
arceus dex number - 493
Wow, you didn't even play gen 1 huh zoomie? Go play Pokemon Red and read the Cinnabar Mansion memos
Why even post moronic bait like this?
It's not even funny. The least you could do is be funny.
>mew didnt exist before arceus
Red and Green released in 1995
Diamon and Pearl released in 2006
Are you brown by any chance?

needs arms

it looks better than the OG Palkia, but it would look even better with arms.
My only issue is the hindlegs. Especially the stupid high heel hoofs.
