A lot of walking sims don't need to be video games. They don't use gameplay to enhance the story. I played the Artful Escape, which desperately wants to be a movie. Simon says bits aren't even thematically relevant. Compare that to Naissanccee or certain segments from MGS. Or the Beginners Guide if those are still too "gamey" for you.
