>Turn into a wolf >Wolf form has tons of extra powers right off the bat and is super useful >You're supposed to hate it
Get the ability to switch between the two >"That wolf form could actually be usefull" >this far into the game you're so tired of using the wolf abilities and human form has so many better items that it actually IS a punishment to have to use it now. >All these poeple who have seen tons of crazy monsters and terrible things can't take two textboxes to say "Oh you can transform into a wolf, Hope that helps you find your friend" >Instead midna will constantly interupt you and disable half your controls because because some npc on the Other side of the map is technically within eyeshot of you transforming at any given moment.
That Dreamcast game that has the Sonic voice cast and it's about an island resting on the meteor that killed the dinosaurs. I remember there's a moment where the MC goes through OP's exact arc.
Wasn't this Sonic Unleashed? Just replace human with hedgehog. The monster form was useful, but the main point of the game was to get rid of it while stopping Eggman
If you presented the perfected stone mask from jojo which lets them transcend into anything they want 99% of people would absolutely accept, why the frick would you ever want to be a weak human if there are no downsides?
>perfected stone mask
Are you talking about part 2? The mask only had that effect because it was used on Kars, who was already beyond human and needed the red stone for the mask to take effect on pillar men. It wouldn't work like that on ordinary people.
I never understood why the chimera in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood set off to get their original bodies back. They could literally change forms at will with no downside. It was basically a superpower
did you completely miss the part with Al where they harped on the whole "new body BAD" thing over and over again? sure, being a hunk of metal and being a cool chimera is different, but "real body GOOD" was push super hard with the soul rejection shit and everything
Al at least had the excuse of not being able to feel or eat and potentially getting killed if too much water gets into the suit and smears the blood seal keeping his soul in the armor. The chimera shit made no sense.
Not monster but when people have sick-ass powers with literally no drawbacks and they treat it like a curse that makes them a freak its always fricking stupid. X-men is especially guilty of this, like dude just dont show it to people do shit while nobody is watching lmao
its always the funniest shit when people say X-Men is about queer and disabled people except like, mutants can turn your house into paste with eye lasers, minorities don't do that shit
>This character can voluntarily fart blue gas >And humans hate them for.....LE NO REASON!!!!!! >Wow they should like NOT do that maybe??
Cutting, incisive commentary, says a lot about our society
Except mutants power is stuff like controlling the weather, having eye lasers, perfectly morphing into another person, reading minds, conjuring fire or ice, and loads of other more destructive stuff than just fating.
>X-men is especially guilty of this,
They do the exact opposite though. Like yeah who have people like Magneto, Storm, or Wolverine who lucked out but then there's people whose mutation is just having a long neck, a guy who got turned into a featherless chicken. All of who are just told to accept that their "powers" are a blessing and part of who they are and that there's nothing to cure.
This is the first AVGN video I watched in 5 years and is was a disappointment. Why return to Hyde again just to see the two different levels in the JAP version?
I think part of it's because he doesn't really have a childhood connection to any of the games he reviews anymore. So if he has an excuse to go back to something he actually played as a kid, then I guess he'll take it.
>Why return to Hyde again just to see the two different levels in the JAP version?
So we'd stop sending him fricking emails about it.
Because we're buttholes.
>character gets mind controlled >very obviously have something wrong with them, acting unresponsive or not like themselves even slightly >they do bad thing >how could they do such a thing?
Or even worse >HOW COULD I DO SUCH A THING
Maybe try Tales of Berseria.
Protagonist gets turned into a cool monster, uses monster powers to go on a lengthy revenge quest. Tells anyone who tries to calm her down to piss off.
She doesn't physically turn into a cool monster. She still appears human throughout the whole game. She only has an arm that can transform in to a monster like appendage at will but still remains looking like a human arm a majority of the time.
Name one game
Area 51
Twilight Princess
Twilight was so much worse
>Turn into a wolf
>Wolf form has tons of extra powers right off the bat and is super useful

Frick I hate the wolf form in that game.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
That Dreamcast game that has the Sonic voice cast and it's about an island resting on the meteor that killed the dinosaurs. I remember there's a moment where the MC goes through OP's exact arc.
The game is blue stinger
Wasn't this Sonic Unleashed? Just replace human with hedgehog. The monster form was useful, but the main point of the game was to get rid of it while stopping Eggman
that would be infinitely more interesting than any sonic game story
too bad it's not a real game
Planescape: Torment
le avgn face
What were they THINKING?
99% of people wouldn't want to ve anything other than a human, mentally ill furgay

using the mask turns you into a vampire
maybe it has a different effect if it has the red stone of aja but Dio got Mask'd and that's what happened to him
I REJECT MY HUMANITY, Ganker!
I would be a vampire without hesitation.

Something something identity and agency but I agree it was rad as frick

A majority of humanity hating your existence is a major drawback.
>This character can voluntarily fart blue gas
>And humans hate them for.....LE NO REASON!!!!!!

>a guy who got turned into a featherless chicken
So he's still just a man.
AVGN was never funny. A bunch of grotesque humour (DUDE BUGS BUNNY SHIT FILLED butthole LMAO!) and surface level criticism of the actual game.
This guy inspired the genre of online critics, but that's about the only commendable thing. I'm glad interest in It is dying.
>inspiring online critics
>commendable
pick one
You never watched it
u weren't alive back then
you cannot critique something that you weren't even alive in the right time period to judge it properly
yes you can lol you moronic millennial, you dumb fricks judge boomers even though you frickers weren't alive for there time
wrong
behold, the man with no taste
