every single boss and enemy is reading your inputs at all times, the entire purpose of their coding is to beat you, to beat you they need to read your inputs and where your position is, do you think these creatures have a mind of their own?
There has got to be some hidden law somewhere that makes it a requirement to have an IQ lower than 85 in order to be a Fromshitter. That's the only way to explain these constant gorilla-Black person moron tier posts that keep appearing.
complaining about reading your inputs is the sub 85 IQ gorilla take. Most of the time the people complaining about that are running away from a boss then act shocked when it starts attacking when they are in range and blame input reading. These people are dumb as shit.
Unironically the best boss in the game
Spent an entire afternoon dying to him, and had fun the whole time. Funnily enough they nerfed the BLEED pop hitstun right after it.
Tried Sunbroing, and boy do hosts struggle to live through that fight.
That's not an argument. Fromdrones immediate attack to anything resembling their fav game gimmick is to seethe about how it failed "do it right". Many of you are clearly obsessed into scoring a certain validation by suffering through this design. It's really fricking weird. What is the most famous catchphrase? "Git gud". It’s simplistic so you can have greater variety in building your character so you become gratified upon overcoming challenges via your tailor made build. That’s the role playing aspect. It allows the player greater agency so when you say dumb shit like lol rollspam you’re missing the point and making a shallow statement that only serves to highlight your own idiocy.

That has nothing to do with role playing. You are using those words incorrectly. >rolllspam

even going as far back as megaman on the NES the point about bosses was to learn the pattern, the weakness, and win, and then feel relieved you dont have to fight your way back because you lost all your lives or weapon energy
beating the levels efficiently and in the correct order has always been the point of these boss rush games
No. Megaman lacks freedom and variety and is slop because of it. At least by playing a role you establish and work towards you have different methods rather than adhering to the same “efficient” playstyle which disregards the players input in favor of its own. Souls games allow you to overcome that by giving control over to the player in order to secure tools that help.
Godfrey/Hoarah loux was better. I was thinking of doing a confessor start and playing a more "realistic" character in the sense that going raw dex/str wouldn't really be feasable for a human to do, so I was going to rely more on what a human could "realistically" do and rely moreso on magical enchantments and spells to win the day. Was going to grab the sword of night and flame and do a sword and board with faith in the right hand and magic in the right, with magic mostly being for buffing my offhand. I hear it's not really good to jack up both faith and int so I was thinking of going 26 int, two points above the minimum needed for the sword so I can get Lorettas greatbow to cut down on an actual bow slot (would use throwing daggers to complement it)
What are some good faith spells? I'm looking into action economy so I'm thinking beastial vitality for long-term healing, burn, O flame for aoe and giantsflame take thee for single target. Oh, and flame grant me strength would buff fire spells as well as the fire portion of the SoNaF, right? What's the softcap for faith again? 60? Heard about this from a friend and thought he was exaggerating
Getting there and hearing Mohg swap from his bedroom voice to his 'I'm a monster >:3' when he turns to you actually made me laugh
Mohg is my favorite boss because he does everything right.
He has a cool aesthetic with blood powers, he has (imo) the best theme in the game, his moveset is fair, varied, and intuitive to learn, and of course, he has an iconic move in "Nihil".
The only thing you could argue that's bad about him is the chip damage fire he gets in phase 2, but that becomes a non-issue if you roll into him instead of away, which is the way his fight encourages aggression.
Morgott was in an awkward place in the game, most people were vastly overleveled fighting him, so I agree. He could have had less predictable moves as well, or more deviation from his Margit move set.
On another note, I think the final boss, or sequence of bosses, should have varied based on your playthrough.
Why did Godfrey even go full Scott Pilgrim on us? If he just wanted Marika’s favor thnen he could’ve just gone with us into the tree and helped slay the Elden Beast.
I feel he’s a insecure loser who doesn’t believe tarnished can be the Elden Lord. It’s not a good answer but a real answer when you look at all the crabs in a bucket seething on this board.
>or more deviation from his Margit move set.
I think he would have been in everybody's top 5 bosses if you didn't fight Margit multiple times first. It's a shame because his intro and lines are kino and then you just rock up and curbstomp him
Being over leveled is a real problem in Elden Ring, even if you aren't consciously grinding, there's always going to be some boss or area you don't encounter at the "right" time
They needed to double Morgott's HP, he should have been the game's Genichiro
its because you are suppose to fight him with around +5 or +6 somber weapon (12-15 regular) but people were fighting him with +9-10 (20-25 reg). Morgott is an end of midgame boss but you can do endgame content before him if you fully explore. He is a total pain in the ass to fight when you have a weapon that isnt upgraded with endgame stones.
Hot take but i think they should have had a different upgrade system for weapons and kept the difficulty more consistent to prevent shitters and morons from having weapons too low a level (i watched one idiot walk by every smithing stone and fight draconic tree sentinel with a +3 weapon and claim the game was too hard) or fighting bosses like morgott with too high and feeling underwhelmed.
The clone version of the fight is better.
The second phase adds nothing. It just turns the fight into cancerous zoning because of all the flaming red jizz that lingers on the floor that you have to be mindful of when fighting.
I don't care about LOL NIHIL NIHIL NIHIL since the novelty wears off immediately and also adds nothing to the fight.
>It just turns the fight into cancerous zoning because of all the flaming red jizz that lingers on the floor that you have to be mindful of when fighting.
Literally just roll into him.
How so? You're dodging into his spears swings/slams and his left hand slashes no differently than you were doing in his first phase.
So why did you even complain about it if it doesn't change anything?
Because it adds nothing. It is pointless addition that doesn't enrich the fight or radically alter the entire nature of the fight the way (say) Ludwig's second phase does or (say) Nameless King's second phase does.
The only thing the red jizz does is serve as a noob trap because you think that you have to play differently. But then you realize it doesn't mean you have to play differently and you end up playing the same way anyway. "Noob traps" are the worst type of difficulty, because once you know what to do, they cease to have any kind of impact on the experience.
And the triple nihil is going to be forced damage for first-time players who are playing blind and won't know how to deal with it.
It's forced damage for these first timers and just a time waster on subsequent playthroughs when you do know what you're supposed to do.
So again, as I said to the other guy: a pointless noob trap that ceases to add anything to the experience for players who actually play these games more than once. Something that misleads you into thinking you have to fight differently but then once you find out, you just end up fighting the same exact way.
he died a bunch of times and is mad so now says it doesnt do anything interesting for him anyways.
>nooooo he has to be bad!!! that's the only reason why anyone would complain about the bosses!!!!
No (you)s for you.
You're not as smart as you think you are.
>no counter-arguments
I accept your concession. I thank you for not wasting my time by dragging out this "debate" any longer.
Ludwigs second phase, if you think about it, doesn't really change that much of the fight.
You're still dodging attacks no? It's basically the same.
And that cutscene and long sword moves that he does? Complete time wasters on subsequent playthroughs. You know how to dodge the attack, so why do they still take so long to finish?
Unlike Mohg, Ludwig's second phase is all brand new moves, as opposed to Mohg being only like 15-20% new moves, so it's still forgiveable that dodge roll forward is still the solution. Also, Ludwig's time waster isn't forced damage. A blind player can still run behind him. A blind player against Mohg's nihil on the other hand won't know what to do.

Bro, I don't think you're understanding what I'm saying here.
Not everybody dodges into every attack, and there are some bosses where it's perfectly okay to dodge back.
I'm saying that any player that does that will then be punished by dodging away instead of fighting him aggressively.

>Ludwig's second phase is all brand new moves
Brand new in what way? Because they look different?
They're just reskinned. You're still dodging the same way, there's nothing new there. >blind player can still run behind him. A blind player against Mohg's nihil on the other hand won't know what to do.
I guarantee that a Blind player is more likely to have gotten the Mohg-specific crystal tear than to ever run behind a boss when seeing a move.
No blind Souls player ever does that, you try to dodge it first, everytime. Seems like you don't play these games, sir.
Ludwigs second phase, if you think about it, doesn't really change that much of the fight.
You're still dodging attacks no? It's basically the same.
And that cutscene and long sword moves that he does? Complete time wasters on subsequent playthroughs. You know how to dodge the attack, so why do they still take so long to finish?
the second part of the fight is the fight. The first phase is just training wheels to get you used to his gimmick of delayed to borderline feint attack type attacks. If anything he needed more HP, like double the HP. I killed him while 2 handed serpentbone blade before he could do anything in phase 2.
>the only canonically gay character in a fromsoft game is a satanic incestous pedophile rapist with cursed blood

I liked the sewer fight a lot more.
Sex with Marika
Sex with Mohg
hate sex between Lord of Frenzied Flame and Melina
MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD
Memezaki where is the DLC?
They already did.
They needed to double Morgott's HP, he should have been the game's Genichiro
Morgott was in an awkward place in the game, most people were vastly overleveled fighting him, so I agree. He could have had less predictable moves as well, or more deviation from his Margit move set.
On another note, I think the final boss, or sequence of bosses, should have varied based on your playthrough.
Godfrey is the perfect final boss, he was Marika's champion but they didn't count on you
Why did Godfrey even go full Scott Pilgrim on us? If he just wanted Marika’s favor thnen he could’ve just gone with us into the tree and helped slay the Elden Beast.
I feel he’s a insecure loser who doesn’t believe tarnished can be the Elden Lord. It’s not a good answer but a real answer when you look at all the crabs in a bucket seething on this board.
>or more deviation from his Margit move set.
I think he would have been in everybody's top 5 bosses if you didn't fight Margit multiple times first. It's a shame because his intro and lines are kino and then you just rock up and curbstomp him
Being over leveled is a real problem in Elden Ring, even if you aren't consciously grinding, there's always going to be some boss or area you don't encounter at the "right" time
its because you are suppose to fight him with around +5 or +6 somber weapon (12-15 regular) but people were fighting him with +9-10 (20-25 reg).
Which you do as a solution to most of his moves in the first phase anyway. So again, as I said, the second phase adds nothing to the fight.
Well it forces you to be more aggressive by adding that fire stuff, so it does add something to the fight.
How so? You're dodging into his spears swings/slams and his left hand slashes no differently than you were doing in his first phase.
>How so?
By punishing you for dodging away.
So again, as I said to the other guy: a pointless noob trap that ceases to add anything to the experience for players who actually play these games more than once. Something that misleads you into thinking you have to fight differently but then once you find out, you just end up fighting the same exact way.
>nooooo he has to be bad!!! that's the only reason why anyone would complain about the bosses!!!!
No (you)s for you.
>no counter-arguments
I accept your concession. I thank you for not wasting my time by dragging out this "debate" any longer.
>I accept your concession.
Is there anything more pathetic in the current Ganker zeitgeist than this shit lol
You're that kid that makes up bullshit house rules at the first sign of trouble that ever so conveniently work in their favor
Grow the frick up already
>Ludwig's second phase is all brand new moves
Brand new in what way? Because they look different?
They're just reskinned. You're still dodging the same way, there's nothing new there.
>blind player can still run behind him. A blind player against Mohg's nihil on the other hand won't know what to do.
I guarantee that a Blind player is more likely to have gotten the Mohg-specific crystal tear than to ever run behind a boss when seeing a move.
No blind Souls player ever does that, you try to dodge it first, everytime. Seems like you don't play these games, sir.
You're not as smart as you think you are.
So why did you even complain about it if it doesn't change anything?
he died a bunch of times and is mad so now says it doesnt do anything interesting for him anyways.
the second part of the fight is the fight. The first phase is just training wheels to get you used to his gimmick of delayed to borderline feint attack type attacks. If anything he needed more HP, like double the HP. I killed him while 2 handed serpentbone blade before he could do anything in phase 2.
I didnt properly beat him. I used the glich to go through his area so he wasnt activated and just stood there whilst i rekt him
his spear's special attack was so fricking fun in pvp to people who didnt know what it did
going through walls what were they thinking
whoa
hey guys
welcome to eb games
