I genuinely never got the incessant whinning about gen 5 haters. Outside of /vp/, there has literally never been a large group of people hating on it, even in the early 2010's. You've always had people complaining about people who don't like the nu pokemon, but I legit never saw someone talk about how bad gen 5 without going out of my way to look for them. Can anyone post any examples of people hating BW/B2W2 that isn't just ragebait from this board? Because I can't find any whatsoever.

From a campaigngay perspective: If a game has HMs, you can never use the team you truly want which is terrible. Gens 1-6 are terrible.

the only hatebases ive seen are those youtuber clickbait vids on gen 2 or anything thats super new like gen 8-9. i feel like gen 5 people are unreasonably insecure about their game nowadays and you see them a lot because they grew older. its just true that a lot of people arent really into those games or werent back then cause it was so different but its like they cant get over that even after like a decade. maybe my view is wrong cause its not based on actual data but man i swear when someone says they dont like a gen or prefer older games it will be gen 5 fans who have the strongest most hateful reaction to that. maybe i just see it that way because theres more of them.
