is it any good fellas?
i beat the game without a guide or writing anything down. i do not recommend it
>not using a guide
based
>not writing things down
moronic, hamstringing yourself for no reason
if they wanted me to write stuff down they shouldn’t have included a note taking tool in game
I truly believe La Mulana is the most hardcore game ever made. I absolutely needed a guide by the 1/3 point and never even beat the sequel.
Based on this screenshot I assume you've just recently gotten the Key of Eternity? Try searching around Twin Labyrinths and Endless for more stuff. You're missing a bunch of usable items you should have by now. And yeah, not taking notes is pretty bad. You're almost certainly going to struggle in the end stretches of the game.
>isn't playing the original so he can't get gigafricked by a certain Chamber of Birth tablet
;_;
No I got the key a little while ago, got to the bottom of the corridor, did the Eye thingy, and then I think all there was there was a ladder to another zone, don't remember which tho
What's the last progress you've made anywhere? I think you should have the fourth seal by now. Have you tried advancing a bit in Chamber of Birth? As far as I can tell the most important item you're missing right now is the Lamp of Time. You need it in order to solve a puzzle in a certain field which grants you access to an item that's needed to make progress in Chamber of Birth.
I think you might be missing the Ankh israeliteel from the Twin Labyrinths itself. Can you recall which israeliteels you have collected from each area?
Actually, scratch that part about the fourth seal. In order to have that you need a bunch of other stuff first.
well right now im trying to get to the bottom of the endless corridor again to see where it lead. Ive been to the shrine of the mother but did nothing, havent woken up the philosophers, opened one of the treasure of creation lasers, cant sleep wothin the woman because i cant drop down there, havent gotten the man doll which i guess is in the temple of the sun inside the pyramid in a wall i can hit but doesnt break, havent solved the unsolvable puzzle because again the wall above the unreachable block is hittable but unbreakable, oh i have to find the 1 fake statue in the temple of the godess, guess ill do that
Without spoiling directly what you need to do you really need to take a good look around Twin labyrinths. A whole bunch of things you're talking about is linked to doing other stuff first.
I hate that place tho I have to use lotsa weights and those fat ninjas jump all over the place and I only have the backside grial tablet so to reach the left side I have to walk a lot and i don't have the map and Ive explored everything
Have you not cleared the poison?
No I havent found the tablet that presumably dispels the poison, doesn't help that I can't read a lot of tablets, last one I found that improved the translation app said I was at 60%
Lifting the poison has nothing to do with making translation progress. In fact 60% is normal for your current progress.
Also I'll just downright say that in order to clear the poison you need to access Twin Labyrinths in a certain way. I assume you've probably overlooked a path in one of the earlier areas of the game and thus can't make any progress in Twin Labyrinths. Take a good look around the earlier fields you've already cleared.
if you mean the repeating rooms with the little brother shop, been there.
If you mean the poison/die in 15 seconds one room, been there
No, I mean how you access the area in the first place. Without warping to the grail tablet (the one in the room with the red pillar and the one-way door above the tablet) how do you access the rooms that are filled with poison?
I dont remember, also there are no roomS with poison, only one with a few lizards or something and a 15 second limit to get out. As to how I get there, from another zone, can't really remember from which tho.
I figured out your problem then. You need to look around for another entrance to the Twin Labyrinths you haven't found yet. The entrance isn't in the Twin Labyrinths itself. It's in another field. You can already access that entrance with your current equipment. It's probably best to just revisit every area one by one. Even the ones you thought you have pretty much "cleared" already and even dead end rooms you thought don't really lead anywhere. There's a pretty big oversight you have made but I don't want to downright spell it out.
Will do, Ive been thinking I should check every screen and take notes once and for all so might as well
Just one more question. You've beaten 5 bosses so far, right?
2 headed serpent, sakit, minecart lizard, giant fish, tentacles & laser eye. Fought baphomet but couldnt win and now I don't have anhks so yes 5.
Thought so. Wouldn't worry much about Baphomet for now. Technically it's the 7th boss but you can't reach the supposed 6th boss now with your current progress. Not until you first do a whole bunch of other stuff that also involves making progress in Twin Labyrinths and a couple of other areas.
Also I need to kill the boss in the twin labyrinth but I used the only ankh Ive had for a while (from the ruined tower) to fight the ye/tentacles laser guy in the lava zone
Sounds like a strange but hard game.
It is uniquely amazing and making meaningful progress in it is one of the best feelings in any game. Loved the LM2 threads when the game was new and people were sharing their tips and theories. I hope the Maze of Galious remake has similar threads again.
Great i guess. How many hours? Also why not writing it down? Challenge or just plain laziness?
laziness, i did take notes ingame but reached the 20 notes limit (even tho i have the extra space app i think)
The 20 is from the extra space. Normally it's 10. Which definitely isn't enough for most of the game so you pretty much have to take external notes for some stuff.
>I got this far without a guide
Congratulations, anon, im proud of you.
>or writing anything down.
Yeah shut the frick up, tell me about how you were able to understand how and where you had to stand and press the action button in order to open the chest in the Moonlight Temple.
Because I played the game before, but dropped it around chamber of birth I think, and that time I did read some hints, like that one.
