I'm super pissed they overwrote CSGO. Why not do a seperate release for counter strike 2? I dominatated in CSGO and have 2,000 hours yet in CS2 I keep dying. There's something broken about the weapon's damage. I'm getting one shot killed on every corner and I'm losing to people who don't know how to defuse the fricking bomb. I've uninstalled it.
The weapon spray has changed in almost a reverse way, it's genuinely horrible and probably the strangest things they have ever done.
I feel you man, I'm sitting near 2.5k hours and was comfortable at MG2, now I have no idea how the guns work, the sound is confusing and game modes ripped straight out of the game.

Kind of. There's a feature that lets you track the recoil of a gun with the crosshair that you can enable, which makes it way easier to land headshots.

This is the point where a lot of people who's been playing for at least a decade are just leaving CS forever. CS2 is going to be a zoom fest, so maybe. It's worth playing, but it's never going to be anything similar to the 1.6 experience.

Ranks are all over the place, my matches have everything from silver to like DMG, at least based on feel. On top of that, I keep getting matched against tryharding premades. There are already obvious hackers. I really like the new maps and the overall aesthetic, performance is fine too except when I zoom with AWP, that causes a giant stutter that makes it unplayable

There's no death replay enabled by default which makes it harder to know if you died to a wall hacker. Valve did this on purpose to hide their hacker issues.
at this point, I believe valve themselves sell those hacks (yes btw, those are subscription based hacks), otherwise how would there be a day zero hack?

Think it has to do with the subtick system and the accuracy of where enemies are when you click on them.
CSGO is also not perfect, you just kinda cope with 64tick and players minds unconsciously adapt their playstyle and mouse movements to the 64tick system so that they have a better chance of coming out on top in shootouts
But you keep in mind actually this is the same system thats been in place for most of FPS history, cs2 is really interesting

It's a gimped version of the older games with a heavty esports focus and a removal of "casual" features and game modes as well as modding and community servers. If you like valorant you'll probably like cs2 but if you like 1.6/source maybe not so much
The worst change is how they mixed the map groups. I used to autistically only play the first map group with maps like Vertigo and Canals. Now that they've mixed the map groups I can no longer play on Vertigo because everyone keeps voting for Mirage which I have no experience with.

some people genuinely can't tell, they don't understand that what's being done to them is literally impossible for a human to have that reaction time consistently for multiple rounds.

if you have a strong CPU, a 144+ Hz monitor and ping under ~30 to one of the server locations then absolutely, yes.
if you lack any of these things then prepare to be at a serious disadvantage which will suck the fun out of the game as you'll just be wondering if your failure was due to something you had control over or not. it's the kind of game where only winning and losing matters. it's NOT a sandbox game where people get silly and ignore the objective. that's the other thing: if you don't want to play to win, don't play CS.

yep, the final straw for me was playing CS2 and constantly coming across obvious cheaters, literally not even trying to hide it, headshotting all 5 enemies within like 5 seconds. go to their profiles and see years old comments accusing them of cheating and obviously they haven't been banned. i honestly believe they aren't utilizing the anti-cheat in order to maximize their skin profits. it's the only answer that makes sense at this point and why they won't even acknowledge the problem.
