ARR was peak FFXIV, and no one can deny that. Everything was better: the annoying characters were less annoying, the community smaller and less pozzed, the sense of adventure was actually real.

This is why there's no tension in this story anymore. Since they won't ever do anything to Scions its about time we parted ways with them and met some other characters so there can be some stakes again.
I would've been okay with Thancred staying dead in Endwalker.

Endwalker honestly made me like Zenos again. A lot of shit was pretty Deus ex machina but he's a decent character with potential, who's restricted by WoL's Yesmen and him being the bad guy and out of the picture for too long
