Thats pretty bad, it was bad enough in my Vlad/Izzie and Kemmler coop campaign with an elf stack showing up to my friends land in Bretonnia nearly every turn.
Mortal Empires already feels like theme park in which everything is too small and too close to each other. IE will be like this as well. Alternative campaigns would be nice. Map modding would be nice. I want The Old World only massive map with proper scale and shape. Detailed Empire with for an example Reikland alone being made out of 3 provinces. Big Bretonnia and Athel Loren. This sort of stuff would be cool. And another big campaigns for Far East and Americas + Atlantis. >inb4 minicampaigns already happened and nobody liked them
Because they lacked variety and weren't good. Welf one didn't even have full Bretonnia iirc
No it's just an old trope to base your fantasy world on Earth
The other super common one is having advanced high tech buried away somewhere like laser guns or even a spaceship, Warhammer sort of falls into that one too with the great old ones.
>No it's just an old trope to base your fantasy world on Earth
Wrong. Tolkien did it with his fantasy world because Middle Earth was originally supposed to be Earth in the past when it was conceived, and Conan did it because it was roughly meant to correspond with actual historical kingdoms and peoples as an excuse to get them all together in a setting.
Warhammer on the other hand did it because Games Workshop are hacks with no talent.
I don't get the problem. You want more empty ocean with nothing in it? There's 2 whole regions there to put factions in and southern lustria is fully expanded. The shit in the middle doesn't look like it's taken a hit at all. As far as I can tell, your only problem is that you want the doughnut to take 10 turns to sail to and don't want them to interact with anything.
I don't understand the huge empty space in the north-east. Not!India sure, they have a non-zero chance to appear as DLC when CA tries to get into India with Toiletless Three Kingdoms and they can just rip assets from that, but what's the point of having all this empty space? Squish Chyna more, move some stuff a bit, fill out the space with more Chaos shit and you might buy space for one or two more Empire/Kislev provinces.
Also, Nippon never ever, Shogun 2 is apparently too old to rip assets from I guess.
>Have 1/5th of the map being empty south-east oceans, Khuresh and Ind >Never going to add Khuresh and Ind
y
Then again having the FRICKING SOUTHERN POLES WHERE NOTHING BUT BEASTMEN EXIST having territories makes me think they'll add Khuresh and Ind because what the frick is the point of having it but not using it. But given their ineptitude so far it just doesn't feel viable but at the same time adding in Ind just to give it to monkey (cathay + beast units) and a bunch of random rebels also feels pointless.
it makes the "Great Ocean" look like a small pond you can cross in two turns
they should have made the new world and ulthuan a separate map like in Empire and made it so you had to use the sea lane system to get there
also the Old World looks comically oversized, they could have done better
So effectively what you want to do is make it needlessly more complex by adding in multiple layers that take the same time to travel as a smaller map? For what purpose?
obviously you never played Empire, because this system was excellent

I want Empire 2 so bad, bros. We'll never get it and it breaks my heart
>What happens on the south wastelands
six billion beastmen constantly slaughtering eachother >and the tip of land that almost touches it?
that's the gate of calith. it's owned by the high elves, who make sure that nothing crosses it.
Honestly this is bad. Really bad. All the sense of scale is gone and especially the old world is aburdly deformed.
The solution was three different sessions like in E:TW but for some reason CA seems allergic to that now.
what map be that my Black person?
The warhammer total war unified map
map of my greater german empire, led by archduke aldorf hitler
I'll take this over mortal empires cutting off most of lustria naggarond and a good chunk of the southlands
Everytime I see Ulthuan just being separated by tiny straits from Brettonia i wanna die a little ngl

>have to play warhammer 1 if i want to have a comfy old world only game
>warhammer 1 lacks the improvements of warhammer 2
>just a distorted version of earth
Fricking hacks.
It looks better when it isn't all bundled together like this
Its a parody setting in the first place
I take a shit on the side walk, but it is okay because it's a parody, OK?
Okay Margaret Thatcher
Yes.
Yes.

isn't Hyboria literally just the Earth in the year 10000BC?
that's a dumb comparison anon
its real
Humans are unoriginal and petty anon. Do you know that we model most fantasy races after ourselves and still write them to serve us?
is that supposed to be Atlantis in the middle of the Atlantic?

Khuresh is probably there so they can add provinces when they make the Monkey King DLC for Cathay, at least.

Because crossing an empty ocean for many turns is compelling gameplay.

So effectively what you want to do is make it needlessly more complex by adding in multiple layers that take the same time to travel as a smaller map? For what purpose?
a map that doesn't look utterly moronic is enough purpose
obviously you never played Empire, because this system was excellent
I want Empire 2 so bad, bros. We'll never get it and it breaks my heart
I want moronic zoomers to leave.
this would have been so much better, but total war hacks are incompetent of pulling anything good out of their asses ever again

LOL dead on arrival

Dear CA, neck yourselves.
Game is oger now
