I have a 15000 pound voucher to spend on a new gaming laptop at Currys. What’s the best to get for that money. I need a good graphics card, processor and at least 1tb of hard drive space.

pound
Just buy the most expensive one you can find.
Oh, I miss typed I meant they gave me a 1500 pound voucher. I put an extra zero by mistake.
15000 pounds! They gave you a voucher for that much?!
Sell the voucher and build a proper computer.
You can sell vouchers?
Yes?
How would you sell them?
Captcha NHPGGR
ebay, could probably sell it for 1450
But that would be less than the value of the voucher
but then you could buy $1450 worth of cheese burgers which the voucher can't be used for.
My mum used to buy PC World vouchers from her union. They gave like 2% off, so you'd buy £100 voucher for £98 from the union. She amassed over £3,000 worth, and gifted them to me on my 18th birthday. The vouchers had a 6 month expiry. I never told her. Frick Currys/PcWorld/Dixons retail
aw man. right in the feels
Really scummy of them to do that
his mum's an idiot for not checking. all vouchers have an expiry date.
perhaps ignorant or naive. idiocy is a strong claim
Shows that you should always check the expiry date of the vouchers when you get them.
6 months is terrible, almost everywhere else is like 2 year
Yes, it just sounds like they’re ripping off their employees.
You should have contacted customer service I got a 1k voucher from them for insurance on a broken laptop, it expired and they renewed it for me twice. I didn't need another laptop as I had several so I just use it every now and again when I need things
Unions are a scam. Do you know how much your mom paid for her union dues? Well over $3000
>Buttblasted lard sees the word "union" and the red mist descends
Clockwork
A scam is a scam
Unions also give workers bargaining powers for better wages.
I have this one and it's great

What about this one?

The graphics card is good and it has a 1TB hard drive but I am worried that the processor is a bit weak. Though to get a computer that has a good processor, graphics card and a 1TB hard drive I would have to spend close to £2000 which the voucher would not cover.
what about this one?
https://www.currys.co.uk/products/samsung-family-hub-beverage-center-rf65a977fb1eu-smart-fridge-freezer-10223137.html
>£4,600 on a fridge
But why?
>2023
>he doesn't consume food and pornography at the same time all from the comfort of his fridge
That just sounds like a fast way to get a chilly willy
Even if this was a computer it would still be far to expensive to be covered by the voucher.
>3000 bigger than 1500
no way
just get a big frick-off telly instead
I already have a television but I do need a computer
you need a computer, but do you really need a gaming laptop? those are bad value for the money
What’s the better alternative in regards computers then? I was looking for a laptop for gaming because I like to have something portable.
there are very small pcs
https://pcpartpicker.com/builds/#E=10
or the minipcs, look at this crazy one https://youtu.be/0RXj8IFHhgU you can dock a big gpu in it
That looks interesting and definitely something to consider. However, they do have very low storage and I don’t like the idea of relying on external storage I have had bad experiences with that in the past. Also PC world are all sold out of the ones that are actually good.
man, that is literally a non issue, almost all of those accepts 2.5inch drives for a secondary drive. And even if only accepts m.2 drives a 1 tb ssd is 50 bucks https://www.currys.co.uk/products/samsung-970-evo-plus-pcie-m.2-internal-ssd-1-tb-10191901.html
It does sound like it would all add up though because you would need to buy external storage, a monitor, processor, graphics card etc.
Are you really saying that would be better value than say this?

That's really heavy
>What’s the best to get for that money.
A proper top-of-the-line gaming desktop (and a good monitor to go with it) is in the region of 6000 right now, or quite a lot less if you don't go for that 4090.
There’s no way I can afford that, I have to get something my voucher would actually cover.
Avoid gaming laptops. Seriously. Save an extra 500 and get a 3080 and some decent CPU and b-die ram
Some of those gaming laptops have RTX 4070 or even 4070 which would be more powerful than the 3060
>at least 1tb of hard drive space
So that $5.
